I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Mangrove snapper is right in line with the best inshore fish there is…….. flounder being it’s only competition in my eyes 👀!!!! Kick butt video brotha!!!! Thanks for taking us on the ride!!!!

I love how you get the fish in and released so quickly...awesome. Croakers are tasty, never caught one that big tho...as for the mangroves, good eats also...the smaller the fish the better the dish, imho.🙂

If I cast under docks like Rich I'd worry about losing the plug. Guess I need to worry less about the cost of the lure and think more about what it takes to hang a fish. New Rich rule - I'll count touching a fish with the net as a catch from here on.

Great day of combined fishing: plenty of dinner fare and plenty of pure sport fishing. Loved it; the hardest working RUclips fisherman does it again!!
