This was an interesting take on the literal interpretation of prophecy. The final battle is spitual for we know that the dragon makes war with the remnant which keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. Miracles and wonders unite the whole world and the attention is focused on the remnant for destruction. Then God intervenes at the Second Coming for His Chosen.

Very good understanding; rightly dividing the Word of truth.
Sinful wars have always been fought ; but the final battle is when God intervenes to cast judgment to finish all sin and rebellion. This final battle can only occur when God has fully separated the obedient from the disobedient. Then the righteous will stand opposite to the unrighteous Gog and Magog. This final battle takes place AFTER THE MILLENNIUM when the Holy City ( Heavenly Kingdom) comes back to Earth to judge Satan; his angels; the false prophets and all the sinful gog and magog in the final Judgment against sin. They will surround the Holy City and the final BATTLE TO END ALL WARS OF SIN IS EXECUTED IN THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT.

The meaning of armageddon is mountain of assembly. Ar or har means mountain. Megiddo means gathering or assembly or congregation.
The first battle for this mountain began here: “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:” (Isa 14:13, KJV). So I propose that the last battle is Satans last effort to attain his goal; to sit upon the mount of the congregation.

As per the entire book of Revelation it is both spiritual & literal. The biggest mistake people are making is choosing one or the other. However, it doesn’t matter who is right because ultimately we, as individuals, need to prepare ourselves and others for the end of the judgement and Jesus’ return which can happen at anytime now. Forget arguing about who is right or wrong and focus on making sure you have complete faith in Jesus, have no unconfessed sins and that you are, with the help of the Holy Spirit, keeping the Ten Commandments (Revelation 14:12). Also, we need to be spreading the three angels messages and telling people it’s time, right now, to give themselves to Jesus or be left to satan. There is no middle ground. There is no time to be bickering over points which have no effect on our salvation other than distracting us from keeping ourselves prepared.
Does the modern nation state Israel have anything to do with Bible prophecy? My understanding was that it doesn’t because all prophecy has either been fulfilled or is talking about spiritual Israel

@@franco4964 U R correct. Armegeddon is a Spiritual War, not a literal war between 2 earthly powers. It is all about the MIND. "Let this mind be in u which is also in Christ Jesus". Also, "we wrestle not against flesh and blood" Israel is NOT a place, but a people (Revelation 14:6, 12. 12:17). Revelation 9 - the rise of Islam, although orchestrated by the RCC - approx 600 AD, was ordained by God to cause a distraction in the goal of the RCC/Papacy to oblterate Gods people (one brutal, violent religion against the other). Gods people was able to escape and was nurtured "in the wilderness". I believe that these conflicts are occurring at this time between Islam and the west as a "distraction" so that the MOTB will not be enforced too soon by the west/US, so that Gods people may be SEALED. The Baptism administered by the Catholic Church is one of the 7 Sacraments instituted by Our Lord, which communicate His Infinite Merits and Graces to those who believe the teachings of His Church. In John 3:5, Our Lord said, "No one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of Water and Holy Spirit." Here, Our Lord is referring to the Sacrament of Baptism. Without the Sacrament of Baptism and without faithfully observing what the Catholic Church teaches, one cannot be saved. "Outside of the Church, No Salvation" is a Catholic Dogma (Catechism #846).
Protestant baptism is not a Sacrament but simply a human ceremony without the communication of Divine merits and graces. And those, who follow protestant churches which teach partial Truth (from the Bible to deceive and lure unsuspecting and ignorant souls) mixed with heresies and lies (to lead souls to their master, the father of lies), do not realize that they have no life in their soul (John 6:53) and they walk on the broad way to eternal perdition.
Why remain outside the Catholic Church, Our Lord's Only Fold (John 10:16), His Body and Bride, whom He saves (Eph 5:23, Rev 21:9-14), and risk your eternal salvation? Come to His Sheepfold quickly, before it is too late for the Satanic reign of the Antichrist is imminent. Amen!

We also know that armaggedon will be between those who are sealed and those who are not sealed. What’s happening in the middle east is tragic but it’s neither of those things.
It does feed into the evangelical belief that the end times are focused around the Jewish people instead of those who are sealed.

Spiritual battles happen within physical (environment) battles.
Jesus having spiritual battles fasting for 40 days. The act of fasting and withholding food is physical. Satan tempting Him to turn stone to bread (physical) was a spiritual battle but there was a physical component. Think of Daniel ..Moses..spiritual battles brought upon by physical battles. What physical battles will test Gods people spiritually in the end times?? War? Famine? Legislation?

You're not studying on your own if you're reading scripture through the lens of what he said. You're being taught by him while reading notes combined with objective scripture reading. If you read Sola scripture, you'll see this is not armageddon lol.

Exactly!! That’s how we do it, how each person should do it. Someone always has to come to the frontline and present us (the public) with words of scriptures, information that bridges the Bible to events happening all around us, presenting it as a study guide, but we can’t get lazy now, we take that and research it etc. Hopefully each are already studying and searching the scriptures themselves. It has a wonderful way of opening up conversation and a positive “clash of minds” to get to the truth, I believe God wants us to do that, there’s power in the journey for truth, and when you see God’s words, warning, revealing itself, faith is restored and strengthened. This is the first time I’ve been so confused by AD. I am cautious of the information floating around trying to change the Bible based truths this church was rooted in. This presentation left me a bit doubtful of its basis for truth unfortunately. On the positive side, this means we have to all study more God’s precious Word and ask prayerfully for the HS to lead us into more truth. Blessings.
The church's foundational beliefs were that Turkey played a role in end-time events. It is the 3rd woe. Great Controversy 334 mentions that the 1st 2 woes were the Moslems. The woes (and the trumpets in which they are located) are plagues upon the papacy. Historically, each time the papacy rose to power, the Moslems rose to power and fought the papacy, distracting it from extinguishing God's people. This is what happened during the Dark Ages. If the first 2 woes are Moselms then the third is also, and if the papacy is rising as it certainly is, then we should be seeing Turkey rising as well.
Our foundational beliefs up until 1914 or so, were that Turkey is the King of the North. The SOP endorses this view. It was our pioneer understanding that when Turkey enters Jerusalem that the close of probation is very near. It is a waypoint to help God's people understand where they are in the stream of time.
Unfortunately most of our prominent preachers have moved away from the pioneer understanding of Turkey's role, and have opted for a new interpretation - but it is not supported by the Spirit of Prophecy.
“When the power of God testifies as to what is truth, that truth is to stand forever as the truth. No aftersuppositions, contrary to the light God has given are to be entertained. Men will arise with interpretations of Scripture which are to them truth, but which are not truth. The truth for this time, God has given us as a foundation for our faith. He Himself has taught us what is truth. One will arise, and still another, with new light which contradicts the light that God has given under the demonstration of His Holy Spirit.
A few are still alive who passed through the experience gained in the establishment of this truth. God has graciously spared their lives to repeat and repeat till the close of their lives, the experience through which they passed even as did John the apostle till the very close of his life. And the standard-bearers who have fallen in death, are to speak through the reprinting of their writings. I am instructed that thus their voices are to be heard. They are to bear their testimony as to what constitutes the truth for this time.
We are not to receive the words of those who come with a message that contradicts the special points of our faith. They gather together a mass of Scripture, and pile it as proof around their asserted theories. This has been done over and over again during the past fifty years. And while the Scriptures are God's word, and are to be respected, the application of them, if such application moves one pillar from the foundation that God has sustained these fifty years, is a great mistake. He who makes such an application knows not the wonderful demonstration of the Holy Spirit that gave power and force to the past messages that have come to the people of God.” CW p.31-32 (1SM 161.1)

1. Did you mean the people of the East mentioned in Judge 6 and 8 are THE SAME with the Kings of the East mentioned in Revelation 16:12?????? The Kings of the East are Jesus and the angels when they will come the second time.
2. Pastors are divided on the 5th and 6th trumpet in Revelation 9. Some say the 5th is Ottoman, some other say it's French Revolution. Some say the 6th trumpet is expansion of Islam, some other say it's the intensification of spiritism/demons (smoke, fire, brimstone = armies from hell). Some other say it's both. Does the book The Great Controversy say anything about Islam playing a major rule in the end time?
3. The context of Revelation 7, 14 and beyond is the battle between God's people (the spiritual Israel) VS the spiritual Babylon and the kings, the merchants, etc. Why do you put literal Islamic people in this spiritual Armageddon battle of Revelation 16 with this current war in the literal Israel VS literal Palestina which also has Christians citizen??
4. What is the definition of Armageddon? Har: MOUNTAIN; Meggido: CONGREGATION. It's spiritual war and worldwide, between God's people and the enemy based on the historical event.
5. Fire, smoke and brimstone in Revelation 14 will happen at the second coming of Jesus as judgment to the harvest of the earth: the wicked. The smoke will ascend forever and ever. Sodom and Gomorrah also received LITERAL fire, brimstone and smoke (Genesis 19). Do you mean that Islam (as represented or in the usage of fire, smoke and brimstone) will be used by God to execute judgment to the wicked who will have worshipped the AC???? After watching this whole video, I must conclude that there is a mixture of truth and error. I'm surprised that Amazing Discoveries is posting this. Saying the Kings of the East are the same as the People of the East in the book of Judges, that's not Biblical. Saying that the fire and brimstone mentioned in Revelation 14 is tied in with the historical prophecy of Revelation 9 is not Biblical. Saying that Armageddon is tied in with this specific location, Megiddo today is not Biblical. I was quite surprised while I was listening to this because as an Adventist myself, I feel this is a great deviation from what is currently understood.

No the Battle of Armageddon takes place between Christ and Satan at the Second Coming. The Battle of Gog and Magog takes place after the millennium. The Battle of armageddon is a spiritual warfare and the Battle of Gog and Magog is a revelation of all things that Satan did in secret.

I agree with you between the connection of the two concepts. It’s actually a recreation of the event because at the 7th plague Babylon falls. See Rev. 16:19. Cyrus in OT was typical of the Messiah. See Isa. 45:1-4 & Luke 4:18. Salvation comes from east. See Isa. 41:2 & Isa. 46:11. It’s also why Adam & Eve/Cain, etc. travel away from the east. Further you go from east=further from salvation.
Plagues are in context of Babylon falling. So we can’t really wonder too far off from that established fact. See Rev. 19:2.

Armageddon is not a war but a place Rev.16;16 when we teaches that Armageddon is a war we are teaching violence's.

Seeing the Genesis 25:6 is showing the sons of Abraham with Keturah were sent to the land in the east. We also see the Ishmaelites doing business with Egypt and Ismaël himself being married with an Egyptian daughter, while his mother was also Egyptian. Isn’t Egypt away from the east?

Actually it doesn't. And it goes along with the foundational pioneer understanding of Turkey's role in the end-times. The Mohammedans are the 3 woes in Revelation - the 1st two were so according to GC 334, therefore, logically the last one is too. This is what our foundational understanding was, and this was endorsed by SOP. Maybe AD will give some more details about this in the future. We need to educate ourselves as to what beliefs our church was founded upon and return to them. Unfortunately it's no longer a popular belief to see Turkey playing a role in endtime events, but popular isn't the criteria. The Bible and SOP are to be our guide, and if you look up "The Eastern Question" in EGW Writings, you will find some interesting quotes. If you expand your search to pioneer writings, and to newspaper clippings in the day, you will be even more intrigued. About 800 newspaper articles wrote about the SDA understanding of Turkey in end-time events. It was in our Bible Readings book in 2 editions. It was in our Sabbath School quarterly. This view was held by our prominent leaders. And just because Turkey plays a role in endtime events doesn't negate the papacy's importance. The Mohammedans were used by God to keep the papacy in check when it rose to heights of power. This is what happened during the Dark Ages, and the papacy is rising again for the last time, so the third woe is being prepared. The understanding our church held during its first 50-60 years is extremely interesting because it shows an intricacy and depth in the prophecy. This interpretation held the attention of the public and convicted them of truth, and if it is preached again, it will have the same effect.

Are you absolutely sure this is the "Last Battle" right now? I don't think so. I believe The Lord will block it for time to allow the Joel 2 outpouring of God's Spirit on all flesh to occur. Not only that but The Lord is coming back for a "Church (Body of Christ) without spot or wrinkle", (Ephesians 5: 27) - and I definitely haven't seen that yet, including myself. The Midianites were not the same as the Ishmaelites. Midian was one of the sons of Keturah whom Abraham married after Sarah's death (Genesis 25.1-2).

Wow, I actually liked more the sequence of Bible texts and Spirit of Prophecy citations together. Somehow, it just reminded me of things I had studied decades ago and lost along the way due to moving a lot and having to buy EGW's books all over again and highlight all the texts I needed... Armageddon is a spiritual battle. Some of the same symbols, and texts are used of McKenzie’s but He has a mix here on his symbols with Literal and spiritual.
