If you’re wanting to get into printing, get a Bambu a1. Don’t go with a Creality Ender “Entry level” printer require a LOT of tinkering and it’s a whole time consuming hobby to make it work. Bambu is basically plug and play and it’s $300. VERY worth the upgrade in every way. Faster printing, less failures, lots of sensors and things to make it work, whereas everything (bed temp, nozzle height, bed surface adhesion, bed leveling, nozzle size, etc.) has to be absolutely perfect for the Ender to work and it’s incredibly time consuming to learn every detail. And it’s not even like you get more control or anything so it’s better for experts; it just sucks
There are some truth in your words, yet its better to keep your printers slightly outdated without wi fi and other stuff. New will be the main target for software antigun outdated w
i’ve own 9 3d printers and have been printing for over 2 years. A $180 a1 mini or $299 a1 full size is what you need. I fucking hate creality enders even after owning 7 of them.
yep learned this the hard way. Do not get an ender unless you want to spend hours and hundreds to upgrade just to print a gun frame. Get the a1 or the p1s if you want good nylon and ppa cf prints.
I've been printing for a decade. I'd recommend that everyone who's into printing get a crappy printer so they can learn how it works and how to troubleshoot it. The majority of people in the 3d printing community don't know how to do basic print and machine troubleshooting. The real advantage of doing it this way is that you can swap off the shelf parts on multiple machines whereas the bambu stuff is all proprietary. You can buy 4 ender 3's for the price of a bambu and they can work just as well if you know what you're doing.

There are more than just t 1 filament options available. One of t most rigid & least vulnerable to wear w/ heavy loads is an ABS Carbon fiber mix. T downside of that particular choice is t fumes. It is toxic and must be ( or it's STRONGLY recommended) to do it outdoors .
I am confused. Ok, you print the frame. But then you need the operational mechanism/fire group, barrel, slide, etc. Basically everything else what makes it a gun. So where do you get this other than other real gun? And if you strip an other gun to put it all in a 3D printed gun, so what’s the point. I don’t really understand how this works.
Downloaded the burnt bacon flash suppressor file and it said that petg was too brittle and shattered in all the test. Pla plus or pro seems to be the go to for most firearm builds
Do not use petg. PLA, PAHT, or PPA-CF. Remember, PLA is strong but will melt in your car trunk. Use a high temp nylon for long term builds. PLA is great for experimenting.
@jasonmullins3900 In my experience PLA is the brittle one. If you drop it, there is a good chance of it shattering. Petg will not. Most PLA has additives to make it less brittle.
