    This was THE last of the Great Queensryche. When DeGarmo left it was NEVER the same again..... This great band was missing that sound, that tone. DeGarmo...

    This would be the last time Chris DeGarmo would ever be on stage with Queensryche again. Sure doesn't seem like he was happy at all. Sad to see my favorite guitarist not himself.

    Best albums from the Queensryche are with DeGarmo in components.
    DeGarmo had a hard word in composing and arranging these timeless songs.
    DeGarmo's departure left a huge void in the composition of future songs.

      This is what happens when key members leave and Chris was instrumental in the band’s song composition and without him, it pretty much took a turn for the worst. Not to say his replacements are horrible, but it’s not easy to fill Chris’ shoes especially in what he did for the band.

    Yo fui a ese concierto pero fui a ver a megadeth. Ni conocía ni a queensryche ni a whitesnake. Me acuerdo que tocó primero queensryche y ni bola. Después megadeth. Y cuando empezó whitesnake me fui. Lo que me arrepiento no haberlos conocido antes del recital. Pero bueno yo tenia 19 años y recién empezaba a conocer algunas bandas.

    It's interesting listening to this song from each tour and hearing how with each year Geoff's voice struggles a bit more with the high notes. I know he doesn't sing them anymore when they do this song live. When exactly did he stop going for them?

    • @axlh.1827
      @axlh.1827 3 года назад +3

      It happened gradually but I’d say probably around 90-91 when he started losing his high range

  • @shanc25
    @shanc25 14 лет назад +1

    @watdascrew Yeah, this must have been one of the last tours where Geoff tried to sing the line "the mirror never lies" properly. It's a really difficult vocal that he used to be able to do effortlessly, but he's obviously struggling with that here, and stopped trying to hit it shortly therafter.

    Nice live but here you can clearly hear the tiredness of the band after 15 years doing sessions, recording, lives, promoting each album, traveling. As a fan of Queensrÿche I have moved on and accepted the new era with Todd La Torre. Let's face reality. DeGarmo will never return, Tate had some personal issues which led to his dismissal from the band, Rockenfield also wanted to relax and enjoy his family but the life never ends... Ryche 'n Roll

  • @Flaggius
    @Flaggius 15 лет назад +3

    well, the cancer sticks fucked up his voice real bad during the 90's. But he quit smokin a couple of years ago and today he hasn't sounded so good since like 1991.

    • @FreeMTrider
      @FreeMTrider 5 лет назад +1

      Not true.....he sounded awesome in 2001! Check out YT vids. And he quit smoking way before that. They toured heavily for years and it will take a toll on any singers voice, but especially the range he has. 1997 wasn't a great year for the band. A few were going through divorce and the EMI went bankrupt. They had to fund the rest of the tour themselves.
