Its a shame there are not many 27.5" hardtail that can transition to trials without going down the specialist 26" What UK Chris Akrigg is doing on 29" ebike is pretty insane given how much heavier they are but Chris rides it just as flowy as smaller 26" old skool. Its a shame Ryan Leech doesn't make that transition with 27.5". Although he's retired over 10yrs ago from the demo stuff, he is still capable of riding technically and would love to see him do the odd video just to see if he still has it.
As a long time Lenosky fan, this one was really fun to watch. I could feel your excitement in being a part of the comp trials scene again and the pride in proving to yourself you still could hold your own through sections. All around great vibe and edit👏👏
I'm so glad you made this video. I haven't done a trials comp about the same length of time as you but I've always wanted to compete at this one in Bentonville for a few years on my 26'er GT just like old times. Brought back memories of watching you on Evolve jump "that $9000 gorilla!"
Jeff, good to see you in trials competition.Have you ever considered make some how to trials video in your way? Should be nice to learn something from one of the best street rider in the world. All the best.
congrats on 1st place! i legitimately came here to figure out what trial biking is for, as my 6yo son started riding two months ago and is already riding no hands and trying to do tricks and stuff. needless to say we're going to be upgrading his bike for his birthday next month, but he and i saw a couple videos with these new-age trial bikes and we were both baffled - so you answered the questions we had, and we're gonna see where this goes! thank you!
Loved the video. Nice to bump into Jack Carthy. He comes from a place called Otley, about 20 mins away from where I live in England.Loved it.Congratulation on first place.Stilll life in the dog as they say. 🤙👍
Jeff, you have taught me more about mountain biking and trials riding than I ever thought possible! I can’t thank you enough for all your “how to” videos. I use those techniques every time I ride the trails. The techniques have allowed me to become an advanced to expert rider.
Hey Jeff! First time I've saw your footage was back in the days in late 90s or early 00s. It was like first big wave of trials and whole mtb in Russia and somehow we got some VHS like New World Disorder and something like this. So now i ride downcountry and very happy to see that you have this channel and still riding and doing all that crazy stuff! Cheers!
Awesome event to bad not more on the east coast! @superridertv has great videos explaining everything to learn bike trails! Always gets back when you asking any questions! 100% support
Cool vid and congrats! This reminded me of your old Trail Boss vids when you narrate a trail that you conquer. Those trials bikes look more like pogo sticks than bikes!
Congratulations on the well earned win! Thanks for sharing. It was heartening to see that the while the course was difficult, it wasn’t death defying. I’ll bet this video will inspire more people to make it down there next year to participate.
Watching this again ….. again. Imagining how I’d get through those sections with my beginner skills and 20” wheels. Definitely there will be more people participating this year - this video contributing to that. It’ll be interesting to see how big the field is. I just love this video and Jeff’s narration. So impressive that he was the only clean.
Definitely. Trails bikes are usually rigid so they can hop easier etc. proper suspension keeps you grounded which is the opposite of what you’re trying to do!
Hi Jeff. Nice to see 90's Era sections coming back. Kinda beginner line for you tho. I have an older Surron I trials now and an Ultra for daily ripping. Still ride everyday at Rampart Range, CO where I work at in retirement. Keep it real ! Trialscoach here!
Thanks for the shoutout, Champ! 🏆 So stoked to see you at a Trials comp again!
Always fun seeing you.
Super Rider is one of my favorite channels! Cool to see a couple of my favorite You Tubers meeting up.

Those kids at the demo were hilarious! You had them screaming like an early Beatles show 😂
So this is why you ride your bike like butter! So amazing to watch!!!

AWESOME!!!
Love that they are doing regular trials comps. Now if that would just spread to very state in the US.

Aaron is awesome
Man that was fun to see! I would love to a try a comp like that, you absolutely nailed it
That original Schwinn is amazing 🤩 I still have a poster of you that you handed to me at the NEC Bike show back in the day 🙌🏻
Congrats!
Look who's in Vet class now! Nice job. Personally, I ride 60+ nowadays, nice small classes!
Absolutely bossed it. Incredible bike control.
I know you! i mean… I was a teenager wanting to learn stuff because I’ve watched videos like “Unchained”. Wow! Thank you, legend
Aww the Schwinn Homegrown... i still love and ride my '99HG4B and 01 straight 8
Awsome job you didn't miss a beat!
Awesome job Jeff!
Cool vid and congrats! This reminded me of your old Trail Boss vids when you narrate a trail that you conquer. Those trials bikes look more like pogo sticks than bikes!
Should I bring back the talking?
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss I liked it. Not sure about others. Variety is always good so maybe mix it up?

It’s a great time. I wish more people would give it a shot

This is a great video! I remember watching you many years ago with my boys at Racoon Rally in Allegany NY.
Those were good times.
Hell yeah congrats bro! 🥇🥇🥇
Wow. Congrats, Jeff. Not surprising, but no less impressive.
Hell yeah man! Though I’d bet all the vets were having an oh shit moment when they saw your name as a competitor.
Trials is so sick! I’m not a fan of trials bikes as far as practicality goes but trials on a mtb is so cool
Last comp I rode was in 2002. Really loved this video!
Last time I saw you do a comp was at Mammoth in 2001. You won the speed trials then. It's great to see you Keeping it Real and making it look easy.
Thanks!
Really cool. I wish I could do trials.
Nice work. Like a pro!
Thank you
Hes keepin it real! Awesome watch
you are still the best
Did you do a trials event in Northern Michigan YEARS ago?
A lot has changed since the old EFTA series!!!
EVAN!!!!
1:30 best bike
i used to watch you + ryan leach in the early 2000's and martyn ashton + martin hawes .
Thank you 🙌🏻
Was that Rob Warner 11:05 in the back ground? I even heard his voice through your camera. He is one loud MFer.
Yes!!
yuu are tha boss 🤨 👏🏼
Any thoughts about trying a full on modern trials bike?
Nooooo. I wasn’t interested way back when the changes were subtle. It’s rad to watch but I don’t really wanna try it
sweet.
Do you lockout the suspension for this stuff on a trail bike?
Great job! Is there any advantage to locking your suspension out when doing something like this?
Definitely. Trails bikes are usually rigid so they can hop easier etc. proper suspension keeps you grounded which is the opposite of what you’re trying to do!
Still Keepin' it Real!
Perfetto Signor 👍
💪🍺
Cool
Bro, I checked for you at Trialsworx 2012 :p
Sick! You’re RIGHT!! I completely forgot about that!!!
No one is gonna believe me on this one, but my step dad is travis Greenle and he helped the trials course
That’s awesome! Tell him thank you
It would be fun to do a VET veteran class... Id be the only one...LOL Randy Vancil Here
RANDY!! hope you’re doing well!
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss oh the old injuries do catch up with you... that where I'm at.
