And so it was offered around to others, including BILLY IDOL, before coming back to Simple Minds, who decided to give it a go. But in the meantime, Billy had recorded it, so you might check that out, just for kicks. Great job! 🤘😎👍

Thx for reacting to this song. Really fun to hear reactions from the golden age of pop music. This song is one of my absolute favorite songs from the 80's. Used to listen to this when traveling through Europe in the late 80's.
Another top song you have to react to is Love Song by Simple Minds or Unforgettable Fire by U2. Bangers from the 80's.
I am also a fan of rock music and have watch some of your reactions on some of my favorite swedish bands as Dead by April, Soilwork and Orbit Culture. I also recommend you to check out Mustasch, Smash into Pieces, Soen and Katatonia.
Keep up the good work 🎸🤘

Definitely think of Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald as the two main opposites in the movie hooking up at the end, knowing most likely they'll part ways after their detention day and returning to school...but they'll forever have that bond from that day knowing their superficial differences are just that and there's more substance below each of them. What a fantastic movie and song...I probably connect with a combination of Emilio Estevez (Andrew) and Anthony Michael Hall (Brian), lol.

The song they really didn't want to do. They had so many great original songs. But they were persuaded to do it anyway by their record company. It became their greatest hit thanks to the movie. Personally I never had this as a favourite song by the band. But the composer Keith Forsey of Flashdance theme song fame really made a Simple Minds sounding song.
