Right, now having watched the entire series I can say I have a fair few more points to make about it - and that I may make another video about the costumes themselves in a more analytical way? Would people want that? Also, boyyy was I wrong about there not being that many s*xy scenes.... lol **
Omg... you're so talented! I loved the finish look and I love that your boyfriend helped to participate and dress u!💜 the sleeves are my fave part and the choker set off the look! Now I have to watch Bridgerton!
My grandmother taught me to sew at a young age. My favorite things to make are maxi skirts, wrap shirts and wide leg pants. Very creative replica dress you made here!!
If you can sew and have a sewing machine it’s not hard especially regency dresses basic pattern but with beautiful fabrics and lace overlay You’ll knock em dead have a go you will be pleasantly surprised
Your skills with fabric are incredible!! Even the sewing machine.. how you don’t loose a finger is beyond me 😂 I wouldn’t know where to start haha Absolutely adored the purple and pink dress 👗 so so cute God bless xx
To be honest I've always wanted to make my own clothing but I'm not good with measurements and math but watching this really inspired me. This was such a cool video. I love watching the process of you making the gown and talking about it as well.
I just gut this video recommended. I find it so cool (and worth mentioning) that you did it before everybody jumped onto that band waggon. And the dress turned out extra cool. Congratulation 😉
Yayy! People are getting recommended my videos, praise the all-knowing algorithm hehe! And, well *hair flick* what can I say, predicting Bridgerton's popularity from day one
I love everything about this. Your editing skills 😍i dont even know anything about making dresses but i really enjoyed your video :) how do you not have more views I love dresses though and always obsess over them in movies/shows and im doing that watching your video lol i love your style
I'm going to the Secret Cinema Bridgerton that starts in November and thought I could try making my own dress, it looks like I won't after all. But this is gorgeous and I've shared the video to a FB group going to the event too. Who knows, someone more talented than me might give it a go!
Ohhh my gosh I'm so jelly! Have the BEST time! You should definitely have a go! If you don't feel like drafting your own pattern there are plenty of regency inspired sewing patterns out there :) And thank you for sharing the video!
I love your mock up fabric! I get a bit sad & poor feeling when I see costubers using fairly nice fabric, even technically inexpensive muslin, for their mock ups, so seeing you use random fabric stash warms my heart.
Ohh yesss I totally agree - that fabric was leftover from a very sad attempt at screen-printing haha, but it's lasted me through a good few mock-ups! My fave is to get cheap bedsheets from charity shops - thank you for watching 💖
I love the video ALOT!!!! I was planning on making a regency dress which was lavender colored as my first official sewing project, But I'm still majorly confused about the patterns needed fro the dress
Hey! Thank you! So for the bodice either buy the simplicity pattern that I have, or create a bodice block for yourself (there are loads of youtube tutorials explaining how) - and then for the skirt you can use my instructions at the beginning of the video to help :) Sounds super exciting, let me know if you make it or need any help! You can message me on Insta (@styling_thecenturies) if you need advice with it !
@@StylingtheCenturies Thank you sooooooo MUCH, I really appreciate it, I made the pattern for the bodice from a pre-existing empire waist dress I had and am currently trying to figure how to do the skirt, I ALWAYS MESS UPP THE HEMMING OF THE SKIRT
@@Reyatheplaya Ohhhh exciting! Hahaha - well if the hem is your biggest issue I would say you're doing well hehe! Be sure to tag me if you post in any pictures cos I really wanna seeeee the final result!!
@@johanneholm5146 Hmm, I think you would need to reconsider the closure, because it might get a bit bulky with two sets of lacing, but other than that I'm not too sure!

Proper belly laughing at the end of this video. Watched for the sewing, stayed for the laughs 👍🏻

Right?! Hahaha, it happened quite a lot that day
What is that Irish artist you mentioned? I want to look up their work.
It's Genieve Figgis :)
@@StylingtheCenturies thank you
Did you wear a corset?
Nooo I didn't in the end - I thought about making some Regency Stays, but I don't think I would wear Regency dresses enough to make use of them aha!
Makes good sense - do you think it should be different if you were to use a corset?
