This is really helpful and very much appreciated, great VT. It would have been nice to see the VT of the original removal of the BB from over the weekend before. If it is anything like my experience today it would have been a video nasty! Removing a BB that's been in for 10 years required a lot of force and would have broken my stand, so had to be done on the ground whilst balancing the bike, which is not that uncommon for BB changes if these are not done regularly (which is of course the moral of the story - dont leave it too late!) I will now need to replace the removal tool and it has rounded off in several places thanks to the force required. Perhaps next time I have an old bike needing a new BB I might pop it down my LBS and it would be cheaper than having to replace the removal tool!
Thank you, yes I did struggle a little bit but didn't think about filming that one 🤦♂️ although in one of my other videos where I was stripping my son's bike down I show the BB removal, that was a tight and had to use a big bar 😂 (camera work wasn't that great though)
Hi Guys, great vid. have the same bike just about to do the same job. is the bracket the 68/113 0r 68/118 before I take it all apart? Much appreciated!
Hi sorry for the delay. the tool I used and if you have the same sort of Boardman I have this is the tool you will need www.wiggle.com/p/lifeline-bb-tool-isis-socket-fitting Hope this helps? 👍

Are the crank and bracket removal tools universal, or is there a specific size I need?
I also have a Boardman Comp

Hi!
There's still size to choose of this bracket;
73mm/118mm or 68mm/118mm
I'm not sure which one I should use?
