So LTT finally decided to stop wasting their money on making Linus look taller than he actually is in all their videos. Similar to how Hello Kitty's Height is 5 apples, Linus is 2 LTT screwdrivers tall.
They should've made it so that you can insert normal LTT screwdrivers into the large one as the bits. So you store your normal drivers in the bit storage and insert another one in the bitholder to actually use for screwing.
I thought this video was going to be stupid - and it is - but about 20 minutes in, I found that my cheeks were starting to hurt because I'd just been smiling for so long. Well done. +1 earned
You should turn a whole room into a pc. You could water cool it with a shower as a radiator and a bathtub as a reservoir. For the computers you could put together a bunch of old outdated server hardware and gpus to make a huge computing machine.
I absolutely LOVE that the PC is given away! I'm not even buying a screwdriver (at the moment- I'm too broke) but I'm excited that this awesome machine is going to a fan and not disassembled again after the video! Way to go LTT!
You know it should be a crime against humanity for all the builds that LTT and other similar channels do that in turn get torn down almost immediately after the video is filmed. I know some of the time their issues such as returning this part or that part back to supplier/sponsor. Yet on the other hand it means that these people usually have parts laying around when they need to build a rig for a new employee. As we are always being shown what the various Server and IT closets at LMG look like after major updates, it sort of fun. I mean we get to see all aspects from Gamer builds(for kids and adults), family computers builds, NAS, various other types of home PC based servers, to actual production computers, network hardware, and actual set up of Server equipment that you find in various businesses. The only thing we don't see are Mini-Computers, Main Frame Computers, or Super Computer. To be fair the Server Racks that LMG has a few would be considered on par with the old Mini-Computers that took up entire room that they now can put into single Rack.
Wow, you are a total professional. You were in the middle of a conversation, noticed the camera was recording and _immediately_ sprung to work without missing a beat. Well done!
Linus needs to be a proper Crosscode fan and mention it in literally every single video, because god knows thats exactly what i'd do if i had a youtube channel this large. The urge to reccommend Crosscode to everyone, their mother and their mothers kitchen sink is real.
Up until they told him the price for each of the Screwdrivers, which he already knew because he is like the Boss. Granted he no longer CEO of LMG, but he still a bit higher than your random Mini-Boss you have to fight in game...lol
Considering they did AMD upgrade that two computers placed in table, forget who it was for. Yeah, it proves custom builds are only limited to ones imagination. BTW, I am the only one who thinks that if one was to tour LMG Offices, that everyone would RBG light show with everyone workstation. Just saying.
Trial by fire, Linus is one of the type of Boss that lets you learn from mistake, rather than just punish one for every mistake no matter how trivial it may have been.
I’ve started using the 90 degree usb3 adapter cables on all my builds, it really helps with cable management and the wire is softer than the really stiff front usb3 front cables that are in every case it seems.
35:33 If you just "scale up" a product without any further modification, any clearances in the original design will scale as well. That's just how it works.
01:24:33 something like that with camera tracking and on a set could be cool though 😁Easier to do as well as you could use good old IR tracking and pop some IR markers on the camera.
I seriously love the absolute ridiculousness that is this livestream. Also Elijah again is one of my favorite co-presenters now because he just runs with the chaos.
Seems like majority of the builds he does seem to be in ITX builds, even for the Intel and AMD upgrades there seems a good portion of them have ITX build in them somewhere. I mean even building in Micro-ATX is challenging enough, wouldn't want to wire up ITX build.
Also depends on the knurling pattern as well, if the knurling is a sharp diamond, then trimming it down on the lathe normally isn't an option because it flattens the pattern a bit
It gives it a smoother surface sure, but it also takes away most of the grip, which is the whole point of a knurl. Probably not a big deal for a normal screwdriver, but on large parts u want the teeth to be sharp so they dig in and keep ur hand from slipping. If the teeth are flat ur hand is just going to glide across them.
I swear, they should invite over Shaq to build an Oversized PC using this screwdriver, the giant keyboard, mouse and use a 50 or 75 inch TV to complete the whole set-up
Love how this video has the quality of an enterprise advertising, with the vibes of that one presentation you need to send to your college reading the teleprompter without knowing anything about the presentation..

There was a moment in, I think it was, a WAN show video where Linus was talking about costing and that, especially at the low end, a small increase in price can improve performance quite a lot (relative). Is there some way to know if parts are relatively expensive (price-to-performance) without having to resort to specific reviews/heavily researching for/about the parts?
Sadly I don't need a second screwdriver, when the first one came out, I got the all black one and every single bit set. Found some magnetic bit holders on Amazon and it works great, but good luck to everyone else who orders.
With regards to updating PCs question. With the increase of handhelds and steamdeck approval lots of modern games will be optimised to work on those devices, and it will have to be a priority for all new games coming out. Meaning people with older desktops and gaming laptops the future of playable games looks bright.
Just saying the wobble in the shaft extension is not based on length as the shaft length is the same in both types. the wobble is from the tip to the end of the extension. It is just bad tolerance in the big screwdriver. if the small one had the same end as the big one it would wobble the same.
I wonder if people bullying Elijah made it so they put him in more videos. Def one of my current favs, tip for anyone who buys that ram, its rgb tends to be finicky and unless you have certain boards it may not always sync and you have to open the software each time to get it to match.

That's an outrageous level of genius!
Great idea so good that maybe they used it: I think they did a similar thing with the large scale precision screwdriver!
If they made a water bottle that was modeled after the Stubby screw driver, Id buy it in a heart beat. PLEASE do it
