Loving the dark synth pop sound! Very reminiscent of the Future Embrace, Adore, and tracks like Eye. And this video is packed with symbolism. The dark forest. Chasing hallucinatory highs that eventually dissolve and turn on you. Attempting to escape only to arrive at... Bohemian Grove? Can't wait for more!
I've followed the Smashing Pumpkins since their first album & this was frankly disappointing. If you been following them as long as I have you should be a bit underwhelmed as well..
@@NesconProductions I like it. Watching/ listening to the evolution is part of the enjoyment. Although, I also enjoy bands that sound exactly the same with every new record.
@@71degrees Compared to a lot of their previous works sounds like a de-evolution to me.. I listen to a very wide variety of music and every band has good & no so good material. I'd put this in the latter category (so far.. only have heard pt.1 & 2).
Fucking Brilliant, Billy! I love the way your mind works. The music sounds really new and interesting, when put to these Awesome Animated films...My senses are delighted and satiated!

I'm usually not a huge fan of older rock bands going in a more electronic or synthy direction, but with the Smashing Pumpkins, it works amazingly well.
This collection has so many musical nuances that I've never heard with Corganesque poetry interlaced. I can't wait to sit and ponder the stories. To wrap my head around the intent. To 'understand'. Again... Thank you Mr. Corgan!
I guess I am a bit biased, but it BLOWS my mind when I hear a rare gem like this song and see it only has 300k views from a band that was my hands down favorite 90s and 2000s band as a kid and young adult. They also had the best Album of the time and in my opinion, would still hold that award. In fact, they are still my overall, all-time favorite (tied with Tool) and to this day, the most respected band ever created or heard of. Yet, people like Justin Bieber have videos with billions that are basically just the same old-rehashed garbage! I mean to each their own and I am not saying there are no Justin songs that are catchy or fun to listen to. Yet, it is night and day when compared to artists like Smashing Pumpkins who not only create almost entirely new types of music with every song but also create art. I mean there is no comparison and they just do not create music or bands like this anymore. It just blows my mind, that people still do not flock to at least any big new song put out by bands like the SP's! This song itself is a newer piece of SP art and it is so freaking catchy! I haven't been able to stop coming back to it since it was released!
Billy has great musical instincts, and a bottomless bag of fresh ideas. He is becoming a heavyweight great, before our eyes. After we're all dead, people will talk of history, and Billy Corgan will be seen as in the same echelon as Elvis...the Beatles... Pink Floyd...the Eagles... Because it's one thing to achieve some success as a musician. But to continuously put out music on the cutting edge for 3-4 decades and counting... that's a level of special far beyond the average chart topper.
I'd love to agree with you but i can't. Smashing Pumpkins are not creating music that connects with most people. Billy comes close at times but the magic of their first run has not come back.
@@johngough2323 "not creating music that connects with most people". But what is, nowadays? There's very few artists I can think of today that are both commercially successful and artistically courageous. Even someone like Bahamas, making killer records for over 10 years, has faded back into obscurity after a couple of radio hits. BENEE is doing cool stuff, Dinosaur Jr. too, but on the whole, the vast majority of popular music isn't popular because of it's artistic integrity or amazing songwriting
@@mierypesado6740 This new stuff is growing on me. The Pumpkins will always be better than Elvis and the Eagles. But on a popular level, the Pumpkins will never reach ears or connect like Elvis or the Eagles did. Pumpkins are too alternative. I love that about them. But there's that part of me that wants them to be as loved as the biggest all time bands. I feel like Billy always had the potential to match Mellon Collie. In 95 it looked like the Pumpkins would be as popular as the heavyweights.
I like that one, I think it's better than the first one they released. The synth mixed better with the rest of the band's normal sound on that one, I don't miss the guitars as much as I did the last time that something that was really synthy
I think I like this equally to MCIS. I can't stop listening to it.
Such a great song
Not even being subtle with the Moloch/Bohemian Grove references. "Laboring at the trees."
I love being a SP fan. Sometimes it is challenging, or we get challenged, but I know if I don't like it at first, I will if I try again.
Nick Guest spot on
Many SP songs are an acquired taste after the second, third or fourth audition, as you uncover layers beneath layers of sounds and voices.
@@cfcollares Problem is there are no layers to this song.. Listened to the track twice & that's enough.
The songs I like immediately tend to sour on me and the ones that grow on me have greater holding power
I love when corgan is a guest on infowars with Alex Jones and all that crazy conspiracy shit, dont you?
This is fucking amazing. This is the best thing theyve done in a while

I had to ask my friends what they were looking at in the end and only one other person new is was Bohemian Grove. Total twist!

This is the most beauty song I've head in this year. Corgan is a genious.

The melody reminds me of the songs of old troubadours from the Middle Ages. But everything else is futuristic. Beautiful mix, Billy! Congratulations!

This could use some old fashioned Beavis and Butt-Head commentary. 😜
I love the Adore vibes on these new songs.
