It’s amazing how effortless he made it look! Masters always make things look a lot easier than they really are. There is no replacement for experience.
This craftsmanship and some of the equipment was more than likely handed generation after generation. Beautiful work and sound. Long live time honored craftmanship.
I was definitely not expecting a Korean Woodworking Master with 50 years of experience to use a CNC mill. Kudos to the master for amalgamating modern tools and technologies with their old expertise.
@@guybrusht6313 it's probably not what we were expecting when the video started, but then I realized, a master need not just be making one-off exotics by hand; there are different kinds of masters and the fact this one uses good modern tools does not in any way affect their mastery which is an intersection of their culture, knowledge about these "moktak" accoustics, knowledge about that niche market and the price at which that item will sell (and hence the price under which it needs to be made), and of course their technical know-how. These days every MBA is technically a Master in Business, so what right do we have to police what makes a Master.
@@guybrusht6313 I saw your comment and saw that you had no idea. It takes a lot of time and labor to make crafts using the tools of that era in the old fashioned way. Even in modern times, it is foolish to insist on such a method. As you say, even if the person making those crafts can't use modern tools, that doesn't mean they can't make them the old-fashioned way. They can, but such a manufacturing method incurs a lot of cost (labor cost) and increases the price of the product. No matter how good a product is, if the price is too high, people who want to buy it feel pressured.

As far as I know, the real handmade wooden fish production does not use so many CNC mechanical steps, but is made with two hands. The technology shown in this film is only an ordinary mass production level.
yes, but this 'factory' has 1 employee apart from the master. And, frankly, the skill (and time) of whittling away at wood with a bunch of chisels in this Inflation degraded age, is better spent "50 - 50". Some of it with a lot of power tools, and some sanding and finishing by hand. At least that's my opinion
А че время тратить на лишние движения. Видел, дядя и так еле двигается. И так понятно - здесь обтесать, здесь отпилить. Рутина. Для заработка, или для учеников - навыки нарабатывать.
