I like the fact that they are old school artist but have combined new electric tools with theirs skills to create the piece with hybrid work techniques!😊😊

This is the first time I've seen a video of someone carving a mokugyo out of wood.
    This is extremely valuable footage.

E' davvero un piacere osservare bravura e l'abilità degli artigiani giapponesi e i piccoli capolavori che riescono a realizzare. Grazie a te per tutti video che hai postato e continuerai a postare. Saluti dall'Italia.

Very nice from a very skilled and talented artisan/woodworker. It is always very interesting to watch these arts performing and showing their talent. What is equally interesting is how Asian countries tend to also use their feet while working. Whereas in America and Europe you do not see it. At least I haven’t seen it.

      Thank you for your comment.
Craftsmen all over the world are great too.
      Japanese craftsmen are also great!
I send my sincere respect to all of them!

Now that machines have taken over no you don’t see it openly. But I guarantee small crafters still do. At least I do. But yes the Asian people still do so more widely.

How does the guy doing the carving have 50 years of experience? He looks like he's no more than maybe 40-45 years old?

I am in awe, when I see craftsmanship like this being made.
The skills, the patience, the eye for details.
It is beautiful and to me, it is therapy as well.
    Great work!!!
