I purchased 12 identical boards from a large retailer, (Menard's) for the purpose of laser engraving them. ALL of them split because the strips of bamboo were not glued properly. THEY ARE GARBAGE QUALITY. They were never used because they split before I could even sell them to my customers.

Panda FOOD turned into cutting boards. Hope there is a lot more bamboo than there are Pandas in the world. So, it is certainly more sustainable than making more PLASTIC waste

板状にするとは考えもつかなかった
こう言うのが本物の技術革新だと思う
結局数枚を接着するから板状にする意味はあまりないと思う。 14:25 普通に圧着のもあるよ😅
私も最初の円筒を板状にする工程は不要だと思った。
実際に日本の竹集成材を製造する工程においては、最初に竹を割ってしまう。
（竹の曲がりを修正するとか板状にするとき熱を使う手法は昔からあった。
木材の板や角材を曲げるときも同様）
あと、気になるのは接着剤の成分や、梱包前に塗布する液体の成分(ラベルには
食用植物調和油とか書かれていたが）。
日本ではJIS規格の接着剤やJAS規格(木材のような材料規格で)製造して
安全に配慮しているらしい。接着剤業界団体の化学物質自主規制もあったりする。
動画にはどのようなものを使用して製造されているのか説明文を入れる方がよい。

技術改新ちゃう、利点が無さ過ぎてやらなかっただけ。別段新しい技術が使われてるわけでも無く、ただ単に既知の技術を組み合わせてるだけ。
竹材板状に加工する時点で無駄なロスが発生し、竹材同士を組み合わせ、接着剤を使用してる時点で環境や健康にリスクが発生している。
しかも木材と違って独特の匂いが有る為刺身等に匂いが移る為に移り香する食材には全く向かず、木材と違ってカビりやすく、虫が付きやすい。
技術改新と言うよりも木材の一枚板作るコストよりも竹材組み合わせてまな板作った方がコストは安いので環境や健康に配慮してるのではなくコストが安い量産に向いてるから竹製なのかなと思う。

There are more 300 species of bamboos in China, depending on the location, pandas only eat 25-50 species, they are fussy eaters.
