No wonder Nittaku is a bit expensive but very satisfying tabble tennis equipment, the process is very detail and mostly done by hand, well done Nittaku! I'm a user and a big fan of Nittaku brand
Industrial production videos like this highlight just how much effort goes into making everything we take for granted in our lives. It makes no odds if it’s table tennis bats , sausages or motorcycles or whatever. The people that set up the production process for these goods are amazing. 🙏🙏
@13:44 No Way, we get to see ping pong balls get made too?!? (I don't think I know any way that the halves come together... like how do they do that?) @14:09 ....(proprietary process) ... NOoOOOOOoooo!! LMAO..

This is one of the best purposes the tree can be used for. The rackets are high quality and well-known and appreciated around the globe. How more famous can an old oak become? If the tree could speak I bet she'll be very happy.
so roughly 2 hours of work of one guy/gal there.. but as it's been through many hands its more likely the total production time per racket/bat + brand markup (if existing).
Except those machines work on high quality materials chosen by craftsmen and are being set up and maintained by great engineers ensuring constant repeatable quality.
The production process is not entirely machine-driven, but also involves human sensibilities and handmade work. Anybody can see that in the video, of course we can, we have an easy understanding of what is being done, but the OP is an exception, even looking at the video he doesn't know what is being done, he doesn't understand what is being done! Yes, he is an idiot, and getting involved would be a waste of time

This brand is so close to my heart. Grew up with their products over 40 years ago.😊
I like to see human oriented industry where the pace of machinery is directed by the worker instead of the other way around.
This is amazing! I’m so impressed with how it turned out!
I love watching these kinds of videos to understand how things we use are made...
Such a precision handwork, this is amazing. I am proud to play with Nittaku blads and rubbers. 🥰
I am purchasing a table and paddles today from this company for one of my homes,
This was utterly fascinating!
Its neat to see the different levels of automation!
7:50 muito habilidoso 👏
it's amazing this kind of business is still alive in Japan. I thought everything is made in China.
Congratulations, wonderful💜
Amazing journey❤
I always thought Japan have very high safety standard but this video prove me wrong
Sebagian komponen masih hand made, pabrik jepang sangat teliti dalam semua produk

I suspect the top secret proprietary process for joining 2 halves of the ping pong ball is friction welding.

Oh, the balls are no longer made of the export-controlled celluloid; interesting.
They age the wood over 250 years? In other applications I've never aged wood more than 50 years.
That is an interesting process, but why not playing with the produced items?

It wouldn't be hard to add a step to brush off the dust from the balls. It's always annoying to have to wipe that off before you play.

As soon as the music started I turned it off. Maybe most people like it but not me.
Such a shame to have to use old growth trees just for ping pong racquets. I guess the composite wood just won't work with playability.
