Hi - do you have a video specific to tips 4 and/or 5? The constant annoying alarms are why I gave up on Enlite years ago. I just got on the Guardian when I got a new pump this year, and while so far so good with Auto mode, the alarms are at least as bad as before, if not worse. Even with the Audio setting in n Vibrate, if I can’t acknowledge after a while (like when driving, etc.) it will start audibly alarming. It even wakes me up at night. Thx

It’s definitely a tough adjustment - I don’t have videos on the silencing alerts piece but I’ll make some. Thanks for the idea

First week on the guardian 3 holy smokes it’s terrible. If I don’t put 6 layers of tape it falls off before the pump has even finished it’s warm up cycle. Terrible 3 different sites in the first week. I’ll just keep using the Libre and manually take care of my well being.

You should check out my Arm Insertion video for some other tips on inserting the sensor - ruclips.net/video/yhd-nZc2MVU/видео.html - Also, change is hard. Give yourself some time to get used to it and be patient with yourself. Medtronic will also replace the sensors that failed or fell off so call them. If after a while it still doesn't work there are other options like you said. Use whatever works best for you.

Curious, since you start a new sensor the same time every week, do you take out your sensor early? I always wait until the sensor end, but then a new sensor continuously gets a couple hours later every week.

Great question! I do usually stop them early - even though it's only a couple hours. For example, this week my sensor still had 5 hours of life, but I had a little bit of time and made the decision to switch it out. It took me a while to overcome the mental hurdle of ending a sensor early when we spend so much time trying to make them last, but I have enjoyed taking a bit of control over the sensor and making it fit my lifestyle.

@@DiabeticsDoingThings Thanks! I like the idea of consistency when I place my sensor. I will have to start overcoming that mental hurdle of ending a sensor early!
