    Thank you so much! Find most exercise videos unbearable to watch - you are straightforward, unpretentious, and not dressed in an expensive spandex outfit!! Also, thank you for not adding music : )

      oooops: if you search, you'll also find older follow-along videos of mine with music 😂 But spandex, you won't ever see this on me!!

    These videos are amazing!
    Would you consider making some more videos where you recommend which exercises to do and which not to do?
    I have seen your videos on deadlifting and squat, I would like to understand if there are any exercises with weights that can be considered good for health, or if they all tend to have more negative effects than positive.

      Thank you Daniele!!
      There's a lot you can do at the gym that is healthy & good for you. The basic idea is:
      - you don't need heavy weights (unless you have a physical profession e.g. firefighter),
      - don't do any exercise with your elbows spread more than 20° sideways or forward, or pulled behind your torso,
      - work on your mid back way more than on your chest,
      - run away from exercises that project your head forward (incl. exercises where you're "reclining in the air"),
      - forget about muscle volume.
      I'm currently renovating completely my online posture programs so my schedule is more than a bit packed, but I'm writing your request in my to-do list ;) You can have a look at this playlist with follow-along exercise programs, though: ruclips.net/p/PLrkU7wsPQIPrRu1IG3ifJyZVYHi4asPNQ
      Makes sense?

    I thought it was bad to flatten/imprint the lower back into the floor. I thought we should strive for neutral spine? Should the rectus ando,onus be engaged during this exercise, or just the TVA?

    Thank you!
    Kind a silly question: from an ergonomics perspective, training the neck as you would do for boxing is that a very bad idea?

    • @OlivierGirard
      @OlivierGirard  3 года назад +2

      Hey mate! Indeed, the neck does not need to be strong but relaxed (cf. rule #2: ruclips.net/video/4PVI9cnMJo8/видео.html). What happens in boxing is mainly that you try and protect the brains against shocks. Of course, it's better than nothing... but not boxing is even healthier :)

    can I add ankle weights?

    • @OlivierGirard
      @OlivierGirard  Год назад +1

      Depends what you call weight… 1kg is ok but don’t force it! You can exert more strength by sticking your lower back even stronger on the floor…
