I use a long lens, like 85mm or longer. Just don’t go too close to the subject because you’ll get a very shallow depth of field. Just make sure that you can fill the camera frame but with as little depth of field as possible. Have fun!
Im mena it is great how you can do it but nobody ever who has never worked with the software before will be able to do this. It´s like me as professional CAD designer explaining in a 14min. video how to create an inner trim piece with CATIA for mass production. Besides Meshmixer is there any other simplier software you know of ? I tried Geomagic Freeform but the software is really laggy and slow.
I do not like the use of that extremely high pitch beep in your introduction animation. Very bad on my speakers and unpalatable on ears. Constructive criticism
This information is so helpful! Thank you for putting so much time into this. 🙏
You're so welcome!
Amazing video thanks a lot hno!!!
My pleasure!!
Hi! Thanx for a great tutoriaL. Do you do this process before or after you do the retopo and the maps?
This happens before retopologising. Cleanup scan -> retopologise -> export textures.
how to import scan file in its original size
you saved my life. Thank you!
Great video Dimitris! What hardware/software did you use for the scan of the shoe? I'm looking to scan my shoe for fun.
What equipment do you recommend for photogrammetry of a 6 cm object with a high level of detail? For example an insect beetle.

ok, the main question is why are u using zproject instead of a morph tool when u already morphed target?
what type of scanner did you use it seems like you used a cheap end scanner.
Wait… did you use photogrammetry or a 3d scanner?
Photogrammetry
scaned in mac?
yep. Using photocatch. It’s a small utility using Apple’s photogrammetry SDK

Great
Turn off z add when projecting the texture and it shouldn't deform the mesh.
