I was searching for someone to teach me to do my wedding makeup. Two years later and I am about to do another photoshoot in my wedding dress to celebrate my anniversary, so I have to do my bridal makeup again! May I add a little bit of an advise ? I studied make up and I have a little bit of personal experience. Eyeliner on the upper lash line and a little deeper A darker eye shadow super defused and blend out to give definition yo you outer corners of the eyes you want to look as defined and full as possible for photo.

I'm going to be married 15 years. My advice is to keep your makeup beautiful but don't go ham. You want to see your face, not the makeup and I've seen so many brides just look so heavy in their wedding makeup. This look Allie created is perfect, it's classic and you'll never regret it in the pictures!

This is a SOLID tutorial. This look is timelessly classic and stunning. Could be used any day, not just your wedding day. You go in full detail about the performance, the technique... And you don't fall in the broken record type of tutorials that we've been getting for years from the beauty community (ejem... baking undereyes, insanely overlined lips, crazy eyes, super obvious contouring...). I think that's the reason your makeup channel still works. You are genuine and have your own critique, which is the qualities that I look for in the very few makeup "gurus" I still watch today.

Can you do a bridal makeup look something a little smokier on the lid but still natural and bridal? I just mean like not the typical dark crease, light shimmery lid, wing liner, etc! 😊💕
Yeah! Like something where the intensity is mainly by the lash line and gradually fades up, like the darkest parts around the eye, and just fading up into the crease, not actually putting a darker shadow in the crease!
I feel like almost every makeup look you do can be used on a wedding day. Wedding glam is definitely your jam! I love all the details you emphasized this time.
So pretty and polished! I did my own hair and makeup for our wedding and my sister's too. I used some of my favourite drugstore products and treated myself to a couple of more fancy things. I was so glad I did it myself, loved how it turned out in pictures and still do when I look at them now 7 years later. I also find doing my makeup quite calming which was nice on such a busy day x
I love drugstore products. They have improved immensely the years. There are just so many products I don't use up like blush to justify the cost. You look absolutely beautiful young lady

Hi Allie! I got engaged in April of this year and we got married in July. Our short engagement made it so tough to find a make up artist. I had a horrible trial with one and decided I had no choice but to do my own. I was pretty devastated. BUT then I found this video and did 3 or 4 practice sessions following every step. I was blown away at the end with how flawless my makeup looked. My wedding day make up stayed put for 10 hours on a 90 degree day (outside all day!) and I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. I truly believe I wouldn’t have liked a MUA’s work better. THANK YOU so much from the bottom of my heart for 1) giving me the confidence to try my own wedding make up - I’m not a big make up person on a daily basis. And 2) for helping me feel more Beautiful than I ever have! I learned so much from you and my wedding day look was so perfect. Thank you doesn’t cut it!!!
This is EXACTLY what I want for my wedding day (in 2 months, eeeeeek!!!) I don't typically wear any makeup other than a little blush and covering bad zits, and so most wedding tutorials look like drag makeup to me (not a bad thing, just too much for me personally). This is perfect!
I got married just pre-pandemic, November 2019, but we had a really small ceremony with only 15 people total and we were on a very strict budget. Getting my make-up done was just not an option for me and so I had to do it myself. I don't wear make-up on a daily basis, I only do my make-up maybe a total of 4 times per year, so this was challenging but I managed to get a really good look very similar to this tutorial! I was sooo proud of myself :)

Omg you’re genius! I never knew how to do my eyes because I didn’t want places between my eyes and between the eyebrows, and I didn’t want to ruin the eyes. So doing concealer first in those areas as well as the eyelids totally fixes that issue. THANK YOUUUU!

This is very similar to my eyeshadow on my wedding day back in October! It was a neutral eye with a burgundy lip and it photographed SO well! I ended up doing my own vs having makeup artist, and I'm glad I went that rt for time frame reasons! It really was a perfect day!

It was a very humid and cloudy day on Long Island in New York. Thank God, my makeup stayed on all day!! I couldn't believe it!! It was in the 70's when my husband and I got married. I've literally been referring back to this video for MONTHS trying to figure out what I'm doing for my wedding day in Janurary. Basically since this video's been uploaded. And I've been contemplating getting this eyeshadow palette. I literally just got the palette last week and I'm IN LOVE with it. I switched out 2 eyeshadows with existing ColourPop shadows I have and I've literally made my ultimate wedding day palette and everyday look. I’m not getting married but this look is perfect for special occasions!! The only thing I would do differently is I would use an actual eyeshadow primer. My lids are slightly oily and if I use concealer as a base my shadows will crease within an hour, even if I set the concealer with powder. My favorites are the UD primer potion or the Smashbox 24 hour one but I’ve heard the Milani eyeshadow primer is really good. I’ve never tried it so idk for sure. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing, this is perfect. I can’t wait to see the high end version because I mostly own high end products. I’m so excited for that!! I loved the point about trusting yourself. I got married 21 years ago, and i went with a very traditional bridal look like the one in this video. While beautiful, i was so disappointed when i got my photos back, because it looked like i wasn't even wearing makeup. (It still bugs me to this day.) If i could go back, i would have requested a super dramatic look: bold colors, dramatic liner, false lashes, lots of glitter, and maybe even a few small rhinestones. I love the soft glam look as well, but i would have loved to have my makeup reflect what a special, important, and once-in-a-lifetime the day felt to me.
Beautiful as always. I love the look. My favorite drugstore eye primer is Milani. With my cool undertone I prefer That's Taupe but this look may have changed my mind. GORGEOUS!
The waterproof version of the Maybelline lash sensational mascara is even better at holding curl than the non-waterproof version! Honestly the best mascara I've ever used. Ive accidentally fallen asleep in this mascara and woken up with perfect lashes, no flakes or smudges.

I'm doing my own makeup for wedding in June 2024 and this is the tutorial I needed. I can't wait to start practicing now! I hated it, the quality was so bad. I cried all day and I thought if I did my makeup myself it would not be “good enough“. I was surprised at first that you didn't use the catrice highlight but then I thought it was probably not natural enough since the highlight you used was so subtle and you used a glowy blush. I never thought I would be that girl that loves blush but I am. However, my favorite part of your look is the eyes! Just add some darker shadows on the outer corner and lower lashline to smoke it more. And maybe opt for a thicker and darker liner

This is EXACTLY what I want for my wedding day (in 2 months, eeeeeek!!!) I don't typically wear any makeup other than a little blush and covering bad zits, and so most wedding tutorials look like drag makeup to me (not a bad thing, just too much for me personally). This is perfect!

I got married just pre-pandemic, November 2019, but we had a really small ceremony with only 15 people total and we were on a very strict budget. Getting my make-up done was just not an option for me and so I had to do it myself. I don't wear make-up on a daily basis, I only do my make-up maybe a total of 4 times per year, so this was challenging but I managed to get a really good look very similar to this tutorial! I was sooo proud of myself :)

Omg you’re genius! I never knew how to do my eyes because I didn’t want places between my eyes and between the eyebrows, and I didn’t want to ruin the eyes. So doing concealer first in those areas as well as the eyelids totally fixes that issue.

This is very similar to my eyeshadow on my wedding day back in October! It was a neutral eye with a burgundy lip and it photographed SO well! I ended up doing my own vs having makeup artist, and I'm glad I went that rt for time frame reasons! It really was a perfect day!

I've literally been referring back to this video for MONTHS trying to figure out what I'm doing for my wedding day in Janurary. Basically since this video's been uploaded. And I've been contemplating getting this eyeshadow palette. I literally just got the palette last week and I'm IN LOVE with it. I switched out 2 eyeshadows with existing ColourPop shadows I have and I've literally made my ultimate wedding day palette and everyday look. I’m not getting married but this look is perfect for special occasions!! The only thing I would do differently is I would use an actual eyeshadow primer. My lids are slightly oily and if I use concealer as a base my shadows will crease within an hour, even if I set the concealer with powder. My favorites are the UD primer potion or the Smashbox 24 hour one but I’ve heard the Milani eyeshadow primer is really good. I’ve never tried it so idk for sure. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing, this is perfect. I can’t wait to see the high end version because I mostly own high end products. I’m so excited for that!! I loved the point about trusting yourself. I got married 21 years ago, and i went with a very traditional bridal look like the one in this video. While beautiful, i was so disappointed when i got my photos back, because it looked like i wasn't even wearing makeup. (It still bugs me to this day.) If i could go back, i would have requested a super dramatic look: bold colors, dramatic liner, false lashes, lots of glitter, and maybe even a few small rhinestones. I love the soft glam look as well, but i would have loved to have my makeup reflect what a special, important, and once-in-a-lifetime the day felt to me.
That is what i was thinking about. I do this kind of make up on a daily basis, so I would like something more smoky or bold for this special day !

The waterproof version of the Maybelline lash sensational mascara is even better at holding curl than the non-waterproof version! Honestly the best mascara I've ever used. Ive accidentally fallen asleep in this mascara and woken up with perfect lashes, no flakes or smudges.

I'm doing my own makeup for wedding in June 2024 and this is the tutorial I needed. I can't wait to start practicing now! I hated it, the quality was so bad. I cried all day and I thought if I did my makeup myself it would not be “good enough“. I was surprised at first that you didn't use the catrice highlight but then I thought it was probably not natural enough since the highlight you used was so subtle and you used a glowy blush. I never thought I would be that girl that loves blush but I am. However, my favorite part of your look is the eyes!
