I honestly stopped buying high end because drugstore products have come soo far in terms of quality and formulation that I cannot justify the price of high end products

Most drugstore products are tested on animals though sadly :(

@@harry4319 Actually really depends, brands like Pat mcgrath, Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury and many more high end brands don’t test on animals. Most items in a drugstore, from Revlon to Max Factor to L’oreal to Maybelline all test on animals. It’s easier to find a luxury or even mid range product that’s cruelty free, since drug store items are almost always sold in China since drug store is more popular worldwide and sells more.

That happened to me yesterday and I had to start over 😩
I have this happen with mineral products, both mineral foundations and mineral sunscreen. It’s frustrating. I don’t know much on the topic, but I think it has to do with my moisturizer not being water soluble. And minerals are water soluble. Don’t quote me though, not 100% sure. It’s something that I would like took further into.
So true! However, I am soooo glad she kept that part in... to let people know that it happens to everyone, but it is fixable! I love her for that!

A few dupes you should totally try next time is the essence false lash princess mascara and the benefit roller lash, and the revlon micro eyeliner with the hourglass micro liner! I love the revlon and essence mascara!

I love watching these types of comparison videos! It confirms my belief that you don’t need to spend a ton of money on makeup. There are affordable products that look and wear just as good, if not better than, the high end stuff. Once you get the makeup on your face, no one can tell what brands you’re wearing. 😊💄✨

Insanely crazyyy....drugstore products have changed so much in the last 10 years! I remember shopping at Walmart and there were literally just 5 foundation shades and almost all the brands had one shade name in common "IVORY" 😂😂 Great video though, please do some more cuz there are loads more drugstore dupes!

Personally, I've never gotten Revolution eyeshadows to stay as well as other formulas and especially more expensive formulas. Very unfortunate because I like their dupes! I have oily eyelids and use Milani or NARS eye primer..
@@mariekevee4501 try using mac paint pot.. I have extremely oily lids, and it's the only thing keeping my eyeshadow in tacked and in place..
@@mariekevee4501 I personally have had luck with the Smashbox 24hr eye primer. A tiny, tiny amount goes a long way! I have oily lids, and that one is what works best for me (way better than Urban Decay primer potion and other formulas I've tried).

The charlotte powder darkens the finish a tad while the no.7 kept it light which could be why the dupe side looks more lifted and bright?!

@@AnaC143 Ana it is not drying AT ALL. I have dry skin and it has never made it look dry. Unlike most powders which enhance wrinkles the No 7 actually flattened them out. Amazing!

i haven’t watched the full video or have i ever seen you before but you just got a new subbie!!! the very first product you tried out , it’s clearly didn’t work out, but you came to a guess that maybe it wasn’t the product but maybe bc it didn’t work with your skin care. other people wouldn’t have given that a thought and just tossed the primer. i loved that so much !!
i tried the the flower spiced petal and the moon lifter gloss paired with Flower sweet pea blush and it looked so pretty together!
It just goes to show that paying more does not mean it’s better
The most amazing last dupe I found.... Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow in the shade Smoke is exactly THE SAME as Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow in the shade 200 Champagne... the texture feels different but the longevity, shade is the same... the price is different. Hourglass retails for 31,95€ and the Kiko Milano for 8,95€

That was a total WOW! I love the look and agree 100% that the dupe side looks just the tiniest bit better than the high end. Who would have guessed??? It is amazing how high the quality is now for more affordable brands. Incredible! Would love for this to be a regular/ongoing series. I realize you'll probably need to space them out a bit to gather enough dupes for a full face of make-up. But how fun!

I bought the elf cc cream yesterday and I wore it today and girl!!! My face looked sooo dewy I LOVED IT. I already have oily skin but I still love that dewy healthy look, the cc cream looked great, great color match, and it minimized my pores like so far, I’m obsessed! Ps. Minimum residue in my mask too!

The true test is in the longevity. I’ve found that while drug store brands go on nice, they often start to break down after two hours of wear.
I haven't found that to be the case. Additionally, she left a comment in the notes of the video. She still found that throughout the day, the drugstore side held up better.
The really cheap stuff sticks to the face like g l u e. I used to do doubles in $4 concealer.
Terrible for skin, but fine for looks.
