In this video I take a close up look and review the new Harrows Carbon 360 shafts. An interesting design from Harrows. They're designed to spin out of the way for incoming darts but from what I saw they don't spin at all. Enjoy the video!

Hey guys, I totally forgot to show a clip with the L-Style flights. They fit PERFECT into these stems. 10/10 recommend. Here's a pic of the Harrows Carbon 360 stems with an L-Style E-Z flight. Notice how it slides all the way into the stem. This setup would last forever! i.imgur.com/jmbjtAx.jpg
That is a perfect fit! Thanks for sharing the pic of that setup
My go to is Harrows supergrip (fusion, ignite, etc) with L-Style flights and champagne rings. They fit perfectly and look much nicer than L-Style's basic looking, but heinous expensive stems (shafts?.. 🤣)
It's a perfect fit and i love it. But it will last forever not! Day 2 i had a dart fall out and land on a rubber mat and the carbon black part snapped exactly where the stem meets the L-flight rendering both useless. But i will keep using this set-up because right now it really fits my throw. I know it's an experimental set-up using 2 different brands so i can't complain. Just make sure you have some spares 🙂
this will be my set up if .... the tightness is rectified, and I can find black in stock anywhere
For me as an ordinary, average darter the reason I watch the stem, flight, points videos is because you review affordable components. You give honest reviews whether you like the product or not, it's all about us US darters getting more bang for the buck on dart equipment. Thank you again for the review.
Thanks for the comment Jeffrey. I agree, it's always nice to see some videos where the products are affordable to everyone. I honestly think that's what has always set this channel apart from the others.
Jeffrey my good man, it works just as well for us Brits over here, I’ve had so many bargains because of this brilliant channel 👍
Agreed, I've spent some money on darts cos of this chap and got a nice set I can throw. I've also saved a fortune on Target darts thanks to this chap. 🤣
Worldwide; really nice review. I think the shafts, flights, and points videos are so popular because that's what we customize our darts with to get the look we like and feel that throws well. I call them shafts also. I like your idea of trying the L-style flights with these shafts; about half the cost of the L-style shafts. Thanks and keep the reviews rolling.
Cheers Mike. Yeah, the L-Style are a perfect combo with these stems
I use both terms, most of the online retailers that I frequent use “shaft”. I saw these online just yesterday and was wondering about them, so I’m really grateful that you reviewed them. Spinners are always so hit and miss for me, rarely do I get a set where all three act the same. I recently replaced the flights on a set of 8 flights and they went from just right to rattling like a pair of maracas.
Same here target rattler 8 shame they cost so much to
Usa peeps call them shafts because the usa dart shops shaft there customers lol
omg they look soooooo good , awesome review as always
Thanks. 100% agree, they do look nice 👍🏻
Oh baby them yellow price darts 😍😍 can’t wait for a review on them.
Probably looking at next Monday for those 👍🏻
I absolutely love these stems.
They look great, they don't really spin (which is a positive) and they hold my Lstyle flights better than the original Lstyle stems. And they are quite affordable as well.
Guess this answers my question. Sorry didn't see this comment.
I could be wrong here but here in the USA I think most people called them shafts? No right or wrong but it's interesting to hear what the different darting cultures call them
Fun Fact : They are called "Schäfte" in Germany, wich is the equivalent to shafts.
I agree, shaft is the common term I hear at league
I tend to use shaft/stem interchangeably.. much like points/tips.
I was looking at these when they first dropped, but was turned off by the spinning. Seeing this vid & the firmness might have me picking them up. Haven't been the biggest fan of multi-piece stems, but the non-carbon part of these looks badass.
also, might just be me, but that was the quickest 9min video I've ever seen. I had to check the time twice to make sure it was 9. haha
I'll save a set for you and send them in the near future 👍🏻
perfect timing today
Oh good! Was you looking at trying them?
I call the stems mainly, sometimes shafts and some of the older guys refer to them as canes.
Well made and good choice of colours unless your anti green 🤣
Great stuff WWD 👍🏻
Seems like here in the USA most people say shafts... I think? I call them stems lol
Shafts for sure for me.
The best part of this review was the “we don’t do green on this channel” burn 🔥 😂
Might’ve gone over a lot of heads but I applaud your sense of humor. I call them both, shafts and stems no preference. I also use both, spinners and fixed flights. It’s all about trying different combinations and experimenting. Saludos WWD!
🤣😂 I couldn't bring myself to buy the green ones
@@WorldwideDarts LOL! Well we will just have to wait for the Darts Review Channel to cover the green stem / shaft
Enjoyed the review, can’t see a particular STEM helping my game so I’ll stick with nylon 😂
Thank you world wide for the review I was curious about these spinner with no rattle is hard to find maybe these are it I thought target 8 was the answer and they were for about 4-5 throws after that rattle like crazy great review thanks
Thanks. Definitely no rattle on these things. At all
I think Harrows are the best classic style of stems!
I call them stems you probably get moor view's on flights stems and stuff because its moor affordable than darts .
Good vid 👍🎯
So my order of these shafts just came in, got green and red from darts shopper... I'm pretty sure they've fixed the stiffness issue
I got them right away as they came out cause I was trying to find a cheaper solution than my Lstyle setup and I was very disappointed that they actually don't spin. When I say they don't spin I mean with incoming dart. Like Lstyle spin lock stems would do.I would really like to know if someone has used them for a while now and if they loosen with time?
You're not the only one to think that. Check out some other comments. It looks like a few people thought these would spin freely. I did as well. But these certainly can't be classified as any type of spinners.
Look a very nice stem, the Medium size is longer than usual too so I might give them a whirl 🎯
The clear ones I had were actually medium. They sent me the wrong size and I didn't even realize it. They weigh 1.25 grams by the way.
@@WorldwideDarts cheers, I will weigh my usual stems
Amazing review once again 🔥
Quick question: when will the Beau Greaves Review be uploaded?
And is there any chance you can do a little comparison to the Target Ricky Evans Darts?
Those are very similar to the Greaves ones (especially the normal edition) and i'm still deciding which one to get also with the nose lip in mind tbf as i want the cleanest transition possible. Any thoughts on that already from your side after playing both?
Thanks. I got rid of the Ricky Evans darts a little while ago. But you're right, they are very similar. I haven't thrown them yet though. I think the review will be soon. Next week sometime. Maybe this Monday?
If you go to a pub, they're stems. if you go to a bar, they're shafts.
Hi mate, what are the 3 darts you have with the yellow stems, clear and red? Thanks
I use both terms; whichever comes out or I happen to write down, I use.
So the bottom 3/4 is poly and the tip area is carbon? I wanted the entire thing carbon for better strength on soft tip so they won’t break so easily
Strange calling them "Carbon" when only very little is actually carbon
I call them shafts, and if i had to be honest i actually might pick up a set of these to try them out with some L-style flights as recommended. Harrows really does have quality shafts. Been looking for a secondary or potentially new match darts, do you think i should get customs and if so where should i go to get customs( not related but just a question for my own curiosity)
Nice review here. I love the color options on these. I am an American player so I have always heard Triples, Single Bullseye and Double Bullseye, and Shafts. I know this is quite different than the UK terminology.
Isn't it funny... nobody cares if they're called stems or shafts. But when Americans use the term "double bull" when talking about 501 it causes many to be triggered. It hurts my head when I hear that 😂
I've seen lots of comments including yours that these do not spin easily . Do you think that the spinning feature could be loosened up over time?
@@mikesimonds8899 Turns out it was a defect with these stems. The carbon piece was made too big. Harrows has yet to comment about it publicly. I even messaged them about it and got no response. I'm going to make a video about it soon but right now I'm sick as hell.
I would have an interest if the spin feature was not too loose and not too tight. Perhaps the carbon piece can be sanded a bit to loosen it🤔
@@WorldwideDarts - I just ordered 3 sets from A-Z. If tight, I will try sanding them, or oil🤔
Very interesting shafts after seeing the vid because they don't spin. Harrows makes quality stuff.
They certainly do make some nice stuff 👍🏻
Oh man Worldwide, i literally was looking at these at work! they look super great! Only question i have is would an L-style flight fit on there?
I'm so mad at myself! Sitting right next to the Cosmo flight was an L-Style flight. I totally spaced it and forgot to demonstrate it. Works perfect for L-Style. Holds them in there tight! 👍🏻
@@WorldwideDarts No problem at all, thanks for answering though. We are all just human sometimes we just don’t think of things even if it’s right in front of us. But now i’m deffinately gonna buy me some sets. Before i fell in love with l-style, i used red dragon nitrotech shafts. Never tried l-style on them but can imagine they won’t fit.
@@MrLothex Yeah those Nitro-Tech stems are TIGHT! I have a hard time getting a 100 micron flight in those things. Forget about trying to fit an L-Style in there.
Hey, here's a pic for you with the L-Style E-Z flights. Notice how it fits all the way down into the stem. PERFECT fit. Literally perfect. 10/10 recommend i.imgur.com/jmbjtAx.jpg
Shafts. Stem is voice in dutch
Lol, shots fired with the green. I liked using some pro grip spinners for awhile, but switched to aluminum due to the breakage rate. I may give these a try…. maybe. Side note, can you think of any top pro players that use spinners?
Only pros that I know of are Barney. Although I think he switched for marketing purposes for the most part. Alan "Chuck" Norris used Target Pro Spin. Over the last 40 years of professional darts none of the top pro players that used them. Pretty much non existent. That's odd because here in the USA I'd say more people use them than not
Hi could I know what brand is the yellow dart
Red Dragon Gerwyn Price darts
TIL I use stem and shaft interchangeably without care.
Yeah, spot on. Nobody cares what ya call them but what's strange is that it hurts my brain when Americans call the bullseye a "double bull" when talking about 501. 😂
I also bought a Set of these but i am not really sure how they suposed to work. I never had a case where they rotaded. As you mentionned the resistance is too high...
It's strange how they advertise them. In the little logo thing of theirs it says "no spin-no rattle". But then in their video they clearly show them spinning out of the way when an incoming dart hits them. They're also obviously called 360 which indicates they should spin. So are they supposed to spin or not? I think many, many people will buy these expecting spinners when in fact it takes a lot of force to move them.
@@WorldwideDarts I thought it might be a combination of axial and radial force which is required to do an 'easier' rotation. But it does not looke like... For me they do not provide the expected benefit. I will stay on my prefered supergrip carbon stets... 😀🎯
@@WorldwideDarts - I got some and have the same issue and comments as you. Way too stiff to be called spinning. Do you think Harrows will make this right for unhappy customers?
Does your lead in page not say no spin no rattle? I also love your reviews Bud, keep it up.
It does. But did you see the video within a video or any of the other Harrows advertising? The name of the stems is 360 for starters. There are also images like this straight from Harrows... i.imgur.com/FaoJak5.jpg
A bit confusing at best from Harrows isn't it? A few here in the comment section were expecting spinners when they bought them. "no spin" is accurate though lol
In Canada we call them shafts, I'm wondering how the work with l style flights
I had an L-Style flight right next to me and I forgot to mention it. They work PERFECT with L-Style flights. They slide all the way down. Literally a perfect match. I'll be doing a RUclips Shorts video about it Thursday morning. Here's a look... i.imgur.com/jmbjtAx.jpg
That's great thanks
Just a quick question does the shafts come in ones or in threes
A set is 3 stems
I grew up calling them shafts, stems I use rarely. They might spin if you put a bit of silicon grease on before you fit them together. Not that you're bothered being as you're not a fan of spinners. I bet I could Robin Hood them.
Curious as to what country you're from. Shafts seems like more of a North American thing.
@@WorldwideDarts UK me mate. Always called them shafts. Might be from arrows etc as they're shafts.
What is “Truck Scout 24”?
It's a company out of the Netherlands that sponsor MvG. They sent me a care package a couple years ago
I’m a stems man myself 👍🎯
USA here; stems and flights
🤣 The way things are going worldwide will have the green segments painted a different colour!! Would make a great video!
Time to get out the magic marker 😂
I received a few sets of these today and none of them rotate when a dart hits the flight, they only rotate when you put excessive force on it by hand. Guess I'll send all of them back.
Were you expecting spinners from how they advertised? That's what it seems like to me.
@@WorldwideDarts I expected the tip to rotate fairly easy when another dart hits the flight yet not rotate freely when flying in the air, just like how the advertisement states it should work.
The ones I've got require nearly as much force to spin them by hand as you'd need to tighten a worn out aluminium shaft without an O-ring on a super crappy barrel with a bad seating on the end.
I know rotating tops are a bit of a gimmick but since they promoted it so heavily I expected this to maybe finally be some legit spinning top products. The idea behind it makes a lot of sense so I'm eager to try stuff like this.
@@Tom-xn7zc I also expected them to move quite a bit more than they did by looking at their advertising
I avoid aluminium stems / stems with aluminium tops as I find flights just don't slot right down on them and it changes the balance of the dart. Not a fan
I avoid aluminum as well. Bends easy and is heavy compared to nylon or carbon
Is there an inside joke from a while back about the color green? 😂
✅
This is like a copy of the Lstyle Carbon spinning shft?
Are those all harrows darts
I call them shafts but I am new at this.
Sounds good to me. There is no right or wrong. It has more to do with where you live.
Shaft. I work in a marine environment so stem means something completely different.
Shaft has a different meaning in some lines of work 😂
Ordered these and spin feature is far too stiff. Takes great force to move them. Wouldn't budge in normal play. Disappointed.
Shafts
No green? Why?
I have no clue.
Some other channel mentions he likes green in every video. Just a little poke 😁
Isn’t a benefit is to just replace the ends at lower costs? These may be more of a cost benefit than functionality.
Yeah, definitely a good cost saving feature
What do you mean by punching it out???
All you need to know right here... ruclips.net/video/IsFbditUCuA/видео.html
@@WorldwideDarts thanks
Not spinner’s help bad deflecting
I hate it when my flights pop off. I only use aluminum because of that
Aluminum has many more negatives. They bend easy, added weight, expensive and pretty much ruined after a robinhood. I also think they look tacky. Right out of the 1990's. Punched flights is an easy fix to flights popping off.
They look good for the colors, but i don’t think i would consider them spinners with how much force needed. That’s a good thing for me, never liked spinners anyway
Same here. I would classify these on the same level as Cosmo non spinners. They move but not much. Or in this case... they really don't move at all. A good thing imo
Harrows Carbon shafts that are 66% polycarbonate. False advertising? Look nice though, and I'm a big fan of their supergrip shafts in all flavours
A bunch of oddball advertising with these things the more I look into it. See the logo on the right in the thumbnail and in the intro? It says "no spin - no rattle". But in every other aspect they say that these things spin. Even the 360 name suggests "spin" right? I've already seen one person in the comment section that bought these thinking they were getting spinners. These do not spin without a significant amount of force! Strange advertising all around imo
@@WorldwideDarts For sure, which is unusual for Harrows. I do like their stems though (love my red and yellow ignite ones respectively), so may have to have a go in the future. And having invested a lot of money in L-Style shafts, went back to the Harrows ones because, well, L-Style are just so damn boring in comparison. Do like the durability of their flights though
The looks may be the coolest part. But worth 1 set a try
Yeah, they do look cool for sure.
What's with all the hate for green darts? Are you making these videos for YOU or for US? Some of us would like to see the green stems. Why alienate part of your audience because of a personal opinion? You can still have an opinion and review something that a lot of us would like to see. Same goes with short stems. I always use short stems so it would have been cool to see a comparison of the different sizes. Sometimes stems, like the Harrows Ignite, have cool graphics and they get stretched or compacted depending on the stem length and it might affect my decision which length to buy. Ignites for example look nicer in short versus long
It was a joke that you didn't seem to get. As far as buying short stems... then the people who use long stems will bitch and complain. It's impossible to make everyone happy so I take the middle road.
I could complain about people that always leave negative type comments on every video I upload but instead I just figure they're miserable and let them be 🤷
Hey Worldwide, Thanks for all the video's you post they are always fun to watch and have helped me a great deal. As for the spinning of these shafts, they aren't meant to spin only on impact of the another dart as you can see in the video of Harrows : ruclips.net/video/UEC2ax7MmBA/видео.html
I'm confused. I added this exact video in the intro then discussed it in this video. The point is they don't move. At all. Did you skip a lot of this video?
they don't spin at all, ever. No dart coming in will spin them. Much stiffer than inteneded or useful .... IMO
Dont like polycarbon shafts..only top is carbon..
No purple anyway so I'm out.
These shafts are crap, they don't spin and the tops break off leaving part of the top inside the stem making it impossible to remove. I contacted Harrows and they didn't even have the decency to reply. Not only will I not be buying any more of their junk I will be spreading the good word.
Yep. I emailed them BEFORE I posted the video and no response. What a shite product!
Carbon shafts are terrible. They cost too much and break easily.
I've never seen a carbon shaft break
@Mike Simonds I've had 3 break.
harrows call it spinning shaft but they hardly spin at all
They're defective according to Harrows
