Really great at the end showing the back to back comparison... that was super helpful.
Thanks. Yeah I thought it would be good for the comparison
Great content, keep them coming 👍🏾
Thanks man. I will
This was very helpful, thank you!
You are welcome
That orange interior is 🔥
Thanks
love ur content!
Thank you
Appreciate the video!
You are welcome
Great video bro 👌🏾👍🏿.
Thanks bro
Which OBD adaptor is best for a 2023 M3?
hey bro, always love your videos. I just coded this off for my X3 M40i (B58) and since it's in europe it has OPF/GPF. I've seen many of these videos before and when I coded it off on mine, even in Sport+ it felt deadsilent. Kind of crazy. Really took me by surprise. She's going for a downpipe and resonator delete soon so let's see. But I have to say I kind of miss it :)
Yeah I have seen people disappointed then code it back in. It’s wild to hear the difference
@@WhatsyourForte Yea crazy man I never thought that everything I was hearing was fake
That interior is 🔥.
Love it with his choice of exterior colors. Joe Achilles just bought one in a stunning shade of blue over this interior. THAT doesn't work so well. This combo is tits.
Thanks man. Yeah I love his blue choice but I like my combo better also.
Coded it off in my new M2c on 2nd day of ownership. Msssive improvement when it's OFF. And it doesn't; pollute the infotainment system simultaneously once you ditch it.
Yep
Good shit bro!! When you use bimmercode is it like jailbreaking an iphone with aftermarket software or is this mostly giving us access to hidden OEM menus?
No not the same concept. You are just going into the control module and turning things on and off. A lot of cars have features in the computer that are turned off since that option was not selected during the build process. This just allows you to turn those things back on
Hi James. Always enjoy your content.
Just got BimmerCode and excited to code Asd off. After doing so, it just seemed almost hard to really tell a difference. Almost like 90% of the noise in sport plus with exhaust button open is actually real.
I really expected it to be much quieter in cabin.
To make sure i reconnected bimmercode and it shows not active.
Thought id see if this was your experience too.
Yeah it is not much of a difference. I was told recently that you have to code it fully off using the TestFlight mode. I plan to do that soon
@@WhatsyourForte thanks for the response. I’ll be on the lookout for that video.
Get the enet cable bro and adapters so u can connect to the ipad and all unlock those other modules.I had to do that for my 20 X4MC. Thank god i had one since i did the BM3 stage 1 tune. Lol because of you I decided once xdrive m3 comp comes out im get rid of my car for it.
Nice. I am working on getting setup now.
This was definitely helpful 👌 my car has this massive gonk on upshifts 😂 sounds like someone hitting a bass drum on every upshift, hopefully I can get rid off it
😆
What’s Good. Do you know if anyone is coding the BMW Connect Subscription Packages.
I would check bimmertech
In the first run, he didn't really activate the M2 button since it needed the confirmation. Plus, why does he assume we know what his M1 and M2 settings are? Just say Sport vs Sport+
I have a 2023 G80 and my ASD just stopped working in the car with 1900 miles. It is hella quiet without it! I am not sure why it stopped working but it did. I might take it or do not worry about it...
I would get it checked out as it may effect other items on the car. Should be covered under warranty
@@WhatsyourForte _ You're right! I will get it checked out and let you know. Last week I set up the M2 button and set it to sport plus it was even louder - and then one day drove in normal mode in sport. The next day the ASD stopped working.
You used to be able to code in other engine noises; make an S55 sound like an N55 for example.
😂 nahh I don’t think you can
@@WhatsyourForte you could, it was through BimmerLink before they moved it over to BimmerCode. Best thing ever. 😂
you could but WHO wants that..
its horrible. What a disgrace.
@@jortepap exactly
Will removing this on the g80 m3 ruin your warranty ?like I just cant deal with this sound it's really making me regret the whole damn car lmfao
Nah I don’t think so
Man you just talk different when you in this new ride. 😂
😂
Confidence on 10!
When you turn off active sound design off, does it only turn off the pumped in audio or does it also disable the ability to open your exhaust valves? I want to turn off the pumped in audio but I still want to be able to open the exhaust valves and hear the burbles.
Pumped in audio
@@WhatsyourForte Thank you, that’s exactly what I wanted to hear, I’m ordering the OBD Link CX tomorrow 😂
Great Vid! Didn't realize you could even do this. That's cool! I assume this is a BMW "allowed" thing to do and doesn't effect any warranty rules? I'll give it a shot with my M2 Comp...Also...Any updates on the other thing with your car you had with the steering? Thanks!
bmw does not care about coding out asd. they have no way to know anyway, my car is fully tuned and bmw still services my car and has no clue
@@imdomlol I'm being told that BMW is flagging cars now for this but I have know idea if that is just a scare tactic or not.
For them to reject a warranty claim they have to prove that what ever you modified caused the issue so I think coding this out should be fine. The steering issue is not fixed and I am taking the car back to the dealer next week.
my dad has a downpipe and tune on his m340i and the back up camera mysteriously stopped working but they can't prove that the downpipe or two and has anything to do with that obviously so they couldn't do anything but repair it with the warranty. they have to be able to prove that your mod had an effect on your issue
I’m sure you know, but you could have just used the exhaust button on your center console, this opens/closes the exhaust valves and also turns on or off the active sound design. FYI
I was told that is only for the exhaust not the active sound. Interesting
Yeah but that closes the exhaust valves, obviously
welp... this is happening.
It sounds like enhances the normal sound. like a video game lol normal sounds way better
Yeah I don’t like it at all
I actually like the active sound.
Some do. I just like to hear the raw noise. I can actually hear the turbos now.
No. off is soo much better.
Pure sound or NO sound!!
@@WhatsyourForte
exactly!
I can't believe people LIKE fake engine sound😩🤦
You drive like a grandma bru. Still Great Review
Lol, I can't go above 4.5K. Car is still under break in. I was advised not to drive it hard until then.
@@WhatsyourForte ah ok sry my bad
@@WhatsyourForte How long is break in?
