You are using Bimmerlinks exhaust flap toggle, it does increase sound (and burbles)

WoW! Hey Tommy, that Monster is soooo easy to break traction! Good find on the "Burbles" setting!
Edit: I suspect with slightly softer rear springs, the rear-end wouldn't break-away to Readily,....and the car would have better traction,...launch, etc.!
Lol no its just a high HP RWD car in the wet... completely normal.
Oh yea; super easy to break traction in the rain. Low down torque helps too
I also prefer stock exhaust. I don't enable gunshot exhaust burrble on my BMW because they're obviously loud & obnoxious. It put a smile on my face for a second then I made sure to disable it immediately after. OEM performance exhaust & burrble on my N55 135i is already amazing, 6cyl already sounds better than 99% of cars on the road..

Hey Tommy, great video! Question though, I have BimmerLink and BimmerCode, but no tune such as Bootmod3. I have ASD deactivated in BimmerCode, but I noticed I don’t have the option of Sound Tuning on my BimmerLink screen. Any ideas as to why this is? And if so where/how can I activate it?
You’d need bootmod3 first.

No clear bra. I don’t tailgate people so my front stays clean. And my mud flaps protect the hips. Win win!
I’ve turned off Active Sound using BimmerLink but my burbles are still there. However, I’ve not done any tuning or mods to my car - does that make a difference?
If you mix bimmerlink with bimmercode then you will have issues. Using just one device you'll be fine.

Yes it can. But it is a longer process and requires reloading the tune.
You may have solved a mystery for me. I have a bootmod3 tune set to no burbles. I also have BimmerCode and BimmerLink. All of a sudden a month ago I started having slight burbles. I probable hit the sound toggle on BimmerLink.

In the past, were you not able to turn it on and off from the preset m buttons? I have MHD tune and to turn on my burbles, it just a matter of pressing my preset buttons.
Nope. That was never an option ok stock or BM3 tunes.
Hi TLG, did your M3 have burbles from the factory? Mine didn’t and even with a GTS map (from bummer-remote), still doesn’t so I got this app after watching your video only to discover that Sound Tuning was set to on but still no burbles.

I have a bmw 2013 335i and i have bimmer link to but that option that you mention i dont see it in my bimmer link app is something more that i need to do in order to activate the burbles in my car or my car dont allow that

So you HAVE to have active sound enabled in order to have the burble?
No; but I can only disable Active Sound in Bimmercode

So do you have Active Sound OFF via Bootmod3, or is your Active Sound now on.
During the video I had the active sound ON, but I will remove it via Bimmercode and will not have any issues.

You'll have to tune it first; check out the link in my video description. So you will need to:
1. Tune it with bootmod3 to set burbles on
2. You can then turn them off or on using Bimmerlink

No. Just sound. I think you actually lose a HP or two

So in order to keep the burbles you need to deactivate pumped in sound via bimmer link. And use bootmod3 to turn burbles on correct? Or... Just leave stock and have pumped in fake sound and have your burbles. 2021 x5 M50i catless downpipes, res delete. Want the burbles, don't want pumped in sound. Cool video

What’s the difference between bimmerlink and bimmercode? How are they alike? What is more worth it to get?
BimmerLink is used for diagnostics. BimmerCode is for coding. You really need BimmerLink more. But veepak is a must.
