89 cents for me as well, I'll never buy a Lays, Wise or Ruffles chip ever again since Clancy's are delicious and maybe even better than the other over-priced brands.
My problem with Clancy chips is that they come with a large amount of broken chips as though they were mishandled somewhere. I think there is a lot more "crumbs" than Jay's. This seems to be a consistent problem for Clancy's.
I was terrified of trying the Aldi's Clancy brand and today I broke down brought some. I brought the BBQ version and I have to say there wasn't wasn't much of a difference between the chips. I am really impressed. I paid $1.09 for the Clancy brand compared to lays bags which is damn near $4.00.
The Walmart in Germany went Bankrupt because of Aldi since their prices are lower. The Walmart is Not thriving in Japan because of Don Quijotes prices are lower. The Dominating Corporate Greed must stop.
Clancy’s are the best chips for my taste and texture 89 cents a bag where I live. Less greasy and less salty. Lays is a mega ripoff just profiting from the brand name.
clancy's is a 'healthier' chip, if you will. since grocery outlet in my neighborhood has closed, i've been going to aldi. not that impressed but they have some decent, health conscious items.
That is so true. Sometimes when we get brand name chips....it seems like we are paying for a half a bag of air as well as the chips, but when we get the Aldi ones, it's like...who cares if there is only a half a bag of chips..it's a lot cheaper.
I used to work in a company were they process frozen foods and believe me it’s the same product they just change labels, I have seen the dairy delivery at aldi and it’s a truck from turner so that’s gotta tell you something!
My mom bought some of these Aldi one recently and they were not lay's but every good. Also this brand from Aldi has a Maple Bacon flavored chip I recently filmed for a review.
Thanks for the great review!! I had a question though, was the video made awhile ago? The expiration on the lays chips is back from April so I am betting this video was made around then :) In any case loved the review!
Clancy's is always somehow crispier? When I got their own brand of doritos they were like cracker crisp instead of the heavy chewing I get from doritos. The sour cream and onion is awesome too.
I looked this up because while at Aldis the other day they had a variety pack for three something or a variety pack with lays and Doritos for seven something! I could not believe it was almost $8 the variety pack of Clancy's also had ranch and cheese " cheap" Doritos while eating the plain chips I thought these taste exactly like lay's! so I decided to see if anybody ever did a comparison.
I'm wondering why they call the Aldi brand Clancy and I am wondering if there is somebody named Clancy involved in the ownership of Aldi's just curious
@@theangrybirdsfanandstarwar1098 Yes sometime chips not a fresh tasting as Lays, but still a good option. Lately I have been buying smaller bags of Kettle Chips Low salt from CIRCLE K, in store brand ( 7 Eleven) Overall a 90% good, did get a bad lot of two bags a couple of weeks ago. It to me that smaller bags seem to be fresher tasting. I suspect because of product turn over on the shelves. I do buy Aldi items but not much.
I love blind taste tests, great job. I love the ruffled Clancys brand. Now ya gotta work on the younger fella and see if you can get him to eat a chip without killing everyone's ear drums. The older guy had manners eating
Aldi's is really good.
Agreed! Christina loves it as well :)
Do not agree
The Clancy chips are only $0.89 at Aldi's where I live. Haven't bought Lays since I discovered these lol

You are right! Clancy's is so much cheaper. It's amazing.
Whitney Fan47 n
Whitney Fan47 they literlly do the same way only difference is the Preservatives they use
People who swear they only like the name brands is the mindset they want people to know they’re living good. Who cares what other people think

Mhm "ripoff"
regular potato chips taste nearly the same, but flavored corn chips like doritos nacho vs off brand there is no comparison
We will have to try their Doritos version.
aarondavid826 true
I can honestly tell no difference between 'real' Fritos and the Aldi brand of these corn chips.
I agree completely no getting around those
I agree. We buy Aldi's all the time. A bit saltier I agree Clancy's are good
clancy's is a 'healthier' chip, if you will. since grocery outlet in my neighborhood has closed, i've been going to aldi. not that impressed but they have some decent, health conscious items.
Clancy’s has an aftertaste... I’ll take the Lay’s
? What do you mean
There’s no way lol
@@shawndorsch726 I can’t explain it… it’s like the oil sits in your mouth after your done eating them and it’s leaves an aftertaste
This is the exact comparison that I was looking for!
I'm happy it helped!
My favorites are
1. Clancy’s
2. J. Higgs
3. Lays
Yesterday I paid 75 cents for that same bag of Clancy's at my local Aldi here in Virginia.
The Aldi chips are really good. That is where we buy most of our chips from, mostly because of how cheap they are. Thanks for the review.
Can't beat the price!

I searched this video up to see if anyone else think Clancy's chips are amazing. Never buying Lays ever again. ALDI IS THE BEST! 👍
My mom bought some of these Aldi one recently and they were not lay's but every good. Also this brand from Aldi has a Maple Bacon flavored chip I recently filmed for a review.
I'll check out the video!
Tami Dunn I have several Aldi/ Clancy videos to edit so I'm not sure when it will be up :)

Yes! Sometimes I get a little backed up on videos so they have a later publish date. Sharp eye! Thank you for watching!
If you want a good chip at a low price Walmart’s brand chip is a lot closer to Lays than Clancy
Their nacho tortilla chips are really good as well thanks for the review. ☺
confederate piece of shit
$1.19 a bag in Michigan at Aldi's 12/16/2019
I love their cheese puffs too!
Clancy's is always somehow crispier? When I got their own brand of doritos they were like cracker crisp instead of the heavy chewing I get from doritos. The sour cream and onion is awesome too.

Hi I want to ask about us this chips halal does it contains pork ?
The Clancy BBQ chips are kind of a sweet tasting BBQ chip.
We like sweet BBQ! :)

BLASPHEMY! to compare ANY Chip to the ICONIC Lay's!
To me Clancy is the absolute worst brand of chips ever. My roommate and I both agree. Lays unfortunately because of price is a way better chip.
Clancy's pretzels are THE best.
Thanks for watching!
we always get clancy's brand for my camping trips for boy scouts...
i'll tell you, its really sad
Awesome vid! Very detailed!
Thank you!
It's the best chip I have ever had. I get the kettle original
when he said that he would like to pit them toe to toe with other brands - gold.
eating the BBQ flavor ones now. taste excellent!
Thanks for watching!
The aldi brand stuff ends up being better than the name brand IMO XD!
I'm wondering why they call the Aldi brand Clancy and I am wondering if there is somebody named Clancy involved in the ownership of Aldi's just curious
That’s a good question.
Clancy bbqs are perfect tasting. But they are always pretty much crumbs.
Frito lay the original potato chip flavor is over $6 a bag party size is ridiculous price
Hi Folks. Wow. That's great. And what a big price difference. Yes, Lay's is high. Good review. :)
Thank you for watching!
Been eating Lays all my life. They both taste the same to me.
Lays chips are the best chips for me aldi brand taste stale
When you show the products why are packages backwards? It's suppose to be shown correctly.
Thanks for watching!
Yes Aldi chips are more salty.
Aldi brand taste stale lays chips taste way better than aldi brand

Could you try the aldis pizza and party mix chips?
When we shop at Aldi's, I will try to remember. We very rarely shop there because they aren't local.
After trying the Clancy sour cream and onion and the variety pack, my children prefer Clancy to all other chips
That's terrific!
Los angeles 2024, $2.29.
Love the masked men

The man on the right has such pretty eyes!
I love you guys I went to also because your shows

Clancy’s is so much better than Lays!
It is hard the believe there that close! Laura from Los Angeles
I know!
Aldi chips are Herr's chips. I know, I work for Herr Foods.
No wonder they are so good!
It's probably the same chip they just Audi's went to private label
Thank you for watching!
Clancy’s taste better than lays to me 🤷🏾♂️
Lays are way too salty and greasy. Jr. is correct. Buy Clancy's.
Who cares it’s just chips
