It is an interesting product. I agree it’s not a true ‘custard’-to me it’s a max hold mane choice gel. It was also a learning curve. I prefer water heavy wash n gos myself, but has better definition and longevity with damp-dry hair than wet hair. So I like it for it’s capable of doing, but that’s a longer application time than I want on the regular. And while it looks great after it dries, I prefer how my hair feels on after day 3 or so. I always have one in my stash just in case.
I love this product. After an overnight sleep it is a just for me to jump in the shower for a “steam treatment”. As the steam rises, I shake my head vigorously. This helps with the restoring of my curls. That’s all that’s required and does not include combing. Try it you will pleasantly surprised.
I know our noses are different but I will say I also have this product. I love love love this product and it does not smell bad to me. It does not smell chemically to me, but if you’re really concerned about the product if you go on the creators page she breaks it down to you and she let you know all the good things that she puts into her product so even though it may have an offputting spell, you can trust that she’s only putting good things in these Products. Hair came out cute though.
It’s def a stiff type of gel, feel like a cat ionic gel if that’s a thing idk, you def need lots of water for real… I like to pair it with the mousse. I use the gel mainly for the hold and to lock the water in my hair from in shower on soaking wet hair. Then I apply the mousse on top to set and shape my hair then I diffuse. Hold is crazy. Then fluff after it’s completely dry. Def fluffy but very defined and held
Yes, when the gel foams it make leave a white flaky cast. You need a lot of water. My pro tip is let your hair or section of hair run under the shower head and then apply the gel until the water that’s in your hair stops dripping and has hold then go through and kinda separate it out older apply the mousse on top for shaping
I think I finally found my hair twin 😭how would you describe your hair, as in texture? I know you said you have high porosity.
