Look here sis, it is SO SATISFYING to see you excited for wash n gos! Your hair looked bomb! I honestly haven't done a. Twist out in forever! It's such a flex to see your hair in its glory right away, and get back hours of your life! Especially when you do them more, they become faster, and easier! With that said, my tips are below! Smooches!!! 1. More mousse smaller sections! Apply the mousse all over until your hair almost feels soapy, and trust it'll dry clean lol! Then apply your gel, the same way you did in the video! 2. Dry the hair completely, that way the hair is completely set! This will prevent you from banding, and the hair will stay stretched. 3. No more bonnets. Take a loose scrunchy and put the hair straight back, and place a satin scarf on like you would tie a bandanna! I also do it without the scrunchy! This keeps the hair stretched, the edges protected, and all you have to do is shake and go. No pick needed, and the hair will open up on its own! No more tangles I promise! 4. If you want, invest in a diffuser! This will ensure your roots are dry, and after your hooded dryer time, you'll be able to fluff and shape the hair for more volume, and keep the definition. 5. For all styles, get yourself a finishing hair spray. It gives you more hold, UV protection, and a cute sheen lol.
@@Erika-lv6lh I have a couple from Aveda, ouidad, Kenra professional, even tressume lol. Mizani has a couple as well. I love the ones with high hold, but each one depends on your preferences, and availability. If you get a ton of volume, that's honestly the natural properties of your hair. Setting your hair under a dryer completely helps, but that is your hair.
@@Chromagens there are tons out there. Some for shine, some for hold, some for volume. I have a bunch of different ones I use for my hair, and others. I recommend assessing what you want and doing your research. I recommend them for every style, and to also take a diffuser and dry them down, with warm and cool air as well.
Hey girl! A tip will be to put the gel or moose on soaking soaking wet hair. Also rub the gel/mousse in your hands to emulsify the product for better application. Focus mainly on having enough gel/mousse on the ENDS of your hair...also prioritise from root to tip...but focus on the ends as it will help your wash & go last longer. When drying as well focus on the ends as well. Hope this helps :😁😁😁
Me saying I’m traveling in August and the video coming out in SEPTEMBER is killing me 😭😭😭 ima do better y’all 🫶🏾🫶🏾 Links to all the products I used shopmy.us/collections/227882
For my night time routine, I gently pull it back into a low pony with a scrunchy and put a scarf on. In the morning, the shape is pretty much it place already. 🎉🎉
You sounds like me lol - I did my first wash and go 3 weeks ago & I don’t know if I’m ever going to stop. I too was SHOOK by how much quicker it was, the definition, I love it! Guess we’re both wash & go girlies now!
Welcome to the wash and go club!! I love this for you! Please do a series! All I do is wash and gos and never get tired of learning about new combos or techniques! Loved how long this video was! Tfs 💗
@@KandidKinks You’re so welcome! ♥️ my absolute fave gel right now is Ecoslay Jello shot! It’s a very hard holding gel that will probably work very well for you in the Florida humidity! I usually use the Miche Beauty Lavish leave in underneath OR Uncle Funky’s Daughter Curly Magic, both work great and you will have long lasting moisture! 💗💗
Hi, I feel myself leaving weave & working w/ my natural hair. Do youu have any tips? I want to do wash & go’s, curly fro’s, literally all cute natural hairstyles 🥰. Ima 4c girly 🥰. Also, how can I retain length if I am not wearing those protective styles that are low manipulative.
I love this for you! Your hair looks amazing! I also recently got into wash n gos and they’re just so much faster. But my hair does shrink up a lot and I’m dealing with tangling and knots. My hair is very thick and tightly coiled, so I’m still figuring out how I want to stretch my hair. Wash n gos have honestly made me excited about my hair again, because I’m getting to learn even more about my hair and it’s beauty. Thanks for sharing!
Your WnG is cute. It's good to see you enjoying it. If I had one suggestion it would be to not try to get 10 days out of it. That is where people run into a lot of tangling with tightly coiled hair and wearing a WnG. Personally, I redo my hair about every 4 to 5 days depending on when it starts itching. It's a fair trade-off for being able to wash and style my hair more quickly. Since being diagnosed with CCCA a WnG or Afro are the only styles that don't make my scalp sore. I'd say just try different gel/mousse combos because they all work pretty well it's a matter of which ones work best for you and the type of WnG you want. Sometimes I want a fluffy WnG and I'll use mousse only or mousse and a soft hold gel. Other times I want a more defined look and I might switch up the order of application to gel and then mousse. The mousses that I like are both of The Douxs, TreLuxe, Camille Rose Honey, and Pattern Beauty.
thanks for this! I totally agree wearing this for 10 days would leave my hair matted more than usual. I washed it after a week and I had no issues thankfully. That Camille Rose Mousse was so hydrating, I'm going to try it on a wash and go!
Pleeeaaaaasssee do a series. We legit have the same hair and I’ve just started with my wash and go journey a few months ago. I would love to see what combos you try because your reviews are honest and straightforward.
Girl , look at you just loving your beautiful natural hair. I love it. I'm natural ,I cant wait for my hair to get as big as yours. You look just like a Queen. GOD KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING WHEN HE CREATED US TO BE UNIQUE-INDIVIDUALS. YES!! We turn heads. (That's a blessing not bragging). You go girl!!!... I love being a Black Woman. No one look like us= (unique and wonderfully made).
Love the results. Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but try the gel first and mousse on top. Also use smaller sections when applying the Doux. sitting under the hood dryer to set it in place is right then follow up with the diffuser for the roots. I love this style on you.
I’ve never done a wash and go but I’ve been thinking of using this exact combo and girrrrl, you just confirmed it’s a great idea. Thank you for sharing 🫶🏾
Beautiful! Another tip: just lay a scarf flat on your head and tie it down to prevent shrinkage or buy a buff. No need to do scrunchies. Also the steam from the shower can loosen out the shape in the morning. Congratulations!
I just rediscovered my wash n go era as well! I usually put the gel and then the mousse but I don't think that it makes that much of a difference. But being a subscriber since the 20k subscriber days(!!) I love the growth both in the hair and in your styling! Never thought I'd see the day that you would be a wash n go girlie
WnGs are my go to for summer. I don't bother to sit under a dryer; not worried about shrinkage 😉. I use Mousse Def alone and it holds but your hair is much longer. Great results, love the joy!
Yeah i can't see myself pulling the dryer down each and every wash day, Might be easier to use a diffuser like someone else mentioned. And thank you sm!!☺🤎
Oh as a really good combo, if you have the okra gel and the miche beauty mousse, that was a great combo! Also any strong hold gel with a mousse will be bomb. Try jello shot with either a mousse or a custard under!
Yaaaaaas, my go-to combo as well. I saturate my drippin wet, (no less than 5 pumps) sections with miche mousse, my whole head to lock in my curl pattern and to let it set. You won't need a leave in as recommended in the directions. It can change the integrity of the hold. I follow up each section with a generous amount of jello shot Ecoslay gel. Then diffuse. I stretch with bands at night as well. Gives a medium to strong hold depending on the amount of product you apply. Your results are SO Beautiful. LOVE, the video!!!❤

“Watch movement!” Lol! Love it, you look great!
😭😭😭 thank you sm !
Get one of them cheap palm brushes / “scalp massagers”
That was my secret lol. Just started locs so now im giving the tip away, them brushes so good at detangling and defining and they so cheap
I've been seeing those online! I didnt know if my hair was too thick for it
Gorgeous results!! Love it🤩🤩🤩
Thank you! 🙏🏾
The hair 😍
Giving cause I did this combo too a while ago .. I’m onto trying the crazy sexy curl mousse
Ohh I haven’t heard of this I don’t think. Let me know how you like it
Your WNG is cute. I was loving my WNG for summer but I’m back in twist now lol!
Your hair is so nice and healthy
SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!! IT LOOKS GREAT!
I love the shampoo but haven't used in a minute. My friend put me on to mousse.
omg... ur wash n go looks like a GOOD twist out
The shape and stretch had me SHOOK!!
I’m a 4c that’s joining the wash and go club and I feel bamboozled. It was this easy all this time ?!!
Lmaooo no fr im still in SHOCK
@@KandidKinks plus the more consistent you are the better it the curls are. I'd love to see a wash and go series of you trying different products (even including the ones you already own). Trying different mousse and gels for your wash and gos!
Already on the way! I tried a combo the other day and recorded it. Coming next week
4c hair is actually curly. My hair is short but looks super curly. I have always had 4z all my life’s ugly 4z. I just started to wash my hair twice weekly and clarifying weekly.
My "wash-n-go's" usually turn into braidouts or twistouts just to get a good stretch on my hair.
Thank you because I loveeee this hairstyle but I'm not finna shingle my whole head 😩😩😩 please nooooo.
You did that 🤩
You’re hair came out pretty and l’m like you not really wag but l do them sometimes your is instantly styled which is a plus❤
Yes walking out the house styled was so refreshing !
Super cute wash and go💗✨
Thank you sm!!
Beautiful results❤
Thank you! 😊
It looks really good.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💕
Thank you! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
I've been using Mousse Def since 2021. It's a great one and done product for my braidouts and wash and gos. Big Poppa is good too, but I've never really been into gels. Got a learning curve. 😂
Mental state and hair omg lol Same. 😵💫
I see why y’all like mousse def so much! & yes basically my whole appearance is a reflection of my mental state at this point 😭 completely neglected 😩
Very nice. Congratulations.
As someone who watched ur channel for years, I had to click on the video the moment I saw it.
Thank you for sticking around 😩
Your hair is gorgeous
Thank you 🫶🏾
“i’m not shingling so don’t recommend that” REAL 😭😭😭
like absolutely not 😩😩😩
@@KandidKinksbut if u what the shingled look without acting having to shingle u can use a custard. Custards make your hair look shingled by defining every single curl without it looking clumped
You had me at LAZY!!!
Lmaoooo
💀😂
I have that same brush but the bristles are bending bad. I need a new one 😅. But i love it and love ur video. I been thinking about wash and go these days but i dont want to deal with the shrinkage.
I justttt bought a new one after about a year because of the bending. But it’s truly my favorite! & thank you so much!!
Thank you for the video 😊
I do see flakes on your top and shoulders. Would you say this Mousse is drying? Thanks
it took me sooo long to notice the flakes on my top lmao like after the gym 😭 but my hair wasnt dry at all. and my hair didnt look flakey either tbh
Thank you for this video 🫶🏾✨
Thanks sm for watching!!🤎🤎
Your hair came out beautifully. Please leave you music info at the 4 minute or so mark. Tfs
It’s a mix I found on RUclips ruclips.net/video/RXt0m7g9vIo/видео.html&ab_channel=BEASTKOAST
Can you drop the playlist for us?
Thank you for the tips!❤
"Imma feel better when I wash my hair"!! 😩🤌That is so real!
Also, I am OBSESSED with your hair! It looks so full and bouncy and moisturised with that conditioner 😍 and that day 2 hair?? Phenomenal 😍
thank you so much! it was actually insane to me lmao but yes my physical appearance is typically an indication cause I'm a tired girl 😭😭
Welcome to the wash and go world...
Late but I’m here 🤭🤭🤭
Not you pausing my damn Siri😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Hey boo have you tried the Tymo straightening brush yet ?
No I haven’t, do you like it?
I haven’t tried it yet either. I’m waiting for it to be delivered. I was tryna do my research in the mean time AKA hear your thoughts 😅
Just bought the products you used!!!
Let me know how you like it!!
Is the mousse moisturizing because the fact your hair is so soft with that AND gel has me curious. Or was the Melanin DC what imparted moisture for you?
Also, you had me smiling at every reveal because your excitement is palpable. Gorgeous hair, as usual 😍😍😍
BEAUTIFUL results!!! go you! i'm sitting here watching you do your hair while i put my hair in mini braids (i'm trying a braid out only using the doux foam styler!) and i'm just so so happy God made me a Black woman🥰🤎
Will this work without mousse?
My problem is always the shrinkage. Wash & Go's make my hair shrink about 6 inches 😩
You can stretch it out either with a banding method or using a blow dryer on low heat setting. It’s a game changer!
Nice wash n go! and sis please replace your detangling brush. its ripping your hair out. 😩
It sounds like it I knowwww but that’s how it sounds when I use any brush 😭😭
