@@independentfactchecker The one I read is where an adult admitted to message a minor. But he doesn't mention if he knew the person was minor at the time, and we don't have the details of the conversations.
He said it could be perceived as inappropriate, not that it was.
What if it's the minor who initiated the inappropriate conversation, would that be Doc's wrongdoing ?
Basically, we don't have the transcripts, so we can't judge. All we know is that he didn't message anything reprehensible since he was legally cleared of any wrongdoing. He also didn't try to come into contact with them, so I don't see any malicious intent.
And it's definitely clear that he didn't "sext" them, so I'm not sure why we're still riding that wave when we pretty much know the guy who spread that rumor was making that up, to sell concert tickets even lol.

@@independentfactchecker Well the Twitch case is evidence of one thing, he didn't say anything inappropriate enough, so much so that his termination was indeed unlawful and he won his case against Twitch.
If he did or say anything akin to what a predator would do or say then not only would he have been convicted, but Twitch wouldn't have had to settle anything.
So people can label him a pdf all they want, all evidence points to the fact that here was nothing of the sort.
And again, how do we know that he knew that person's age at the time of the conversations ?
The reality is that Twitch illegaly terminated his contract, illegaly spied on his private messages and this is why they had to settle with Doc to save their image. Doc accepted it because he knew that anything regarding minors on the Internet (and this whole case is proving his point) is reputation-damaging, no matter if you're actually in the wrong or not. You're guilty even if proven innocent.
If he was a pdf, Twitch wouldn't have paid anything and would have even been able to save face for the private message spying thing, saying it was to protect a minor. But they didn't, because there was evidently no minor to protect from anything.
You cannot NDA a crime. Haha they cannot be held legally responsible within a NDA when reporting a crime.

Makes no sense at all, if it was true and proven he would be in jail, otherwise it means Twitch is protecting a pdf. My guess is that there might have been false allegations (as always) and Twitch didn't want to take a risk so they banned him. Then Doc sued them for illegitimate breach of contract. Then they settled it the way they did. It would explain both the hush and the fact that Doc is not in jail right now.

If Twitch had the conversation logs, it would be clear as day.
So either it's just allegations and Twitch didn't want to risk it, or Doc actually did contact a minor, but either he didn't know/was lied to about the age or didn't do anything technically illegal but Twitch still was rubbed the wrong way and decided to ban him.
But that last possibility is unlikely to me because if he indeed didn't do anything wrong then Twitch didn't have to do anything, only them had access to the logs and Doc was racking them huge amount of money so it would be stupid to do what they did in that case.
Also to my understanding Twitch was not supposed to view private conversations through their whisper system, so that means they'd have been legally liable if they did admit to that, which can explain the settlement and the hush, they don't want to admit to any wrongdoing to not look bad.
The situation might be complicated but nothing supports the theory that Doc simply sexted a minor and got away with it while being able to sue Twitch and win the case, that's plain stupid logic. The truth seems to be way more in the middle of things, where both Doc and Twitch would look bad if the situation leaked (but Twitch probably had legally more wrongdoing than Doc which explains why they just bent the knee like that), hence the settlement and the NDA.
