First off I 100% agree to keep things spoiler free Second please understand that the comic readers are overly excited to see this story come to the forefront getting attention With that said and judging how the first season went this is going to be a great ride. I hope enough of the comic readers read your comment and understand your point as well.
The comic book has mad cameos. At the funeral in the comic Savage Dragon appeared in the crowd, and the characters from Powers were also working the Guardians case. Jay and Silent Bob are in the background at a shopping mall (natch, snoogans) along with Charlie Brown in volume one, and MC Frontalot is out in the parking lot of the same mall (he also appeared as a zombie in Walking Dead vol one which had the same artist as vol one of Invincible)
If y’all watch the part where Mark and Eve departed from the mission, you can see Eve closes her eyes and leans in to try and kiss Mark, it’s very fast but you can definitely catch it if you rewatch that scene.(:

Just found out Invincible is in the same universe as Spawn. Kirkman said no crossovers for now because of red tape and legalese, but I’m holding out hope 🤘🏻
That red tape is for the shows only. The comic has crossovers; there's one where Invincible teams up with Spiderman. But, it's a TV/broadcast thing. Think how Disney has Marvel comics now, but they can't use Marvel comics entities that Sony or any other broadcast company has bought rights to 👌🏾 Unless something's changed HBO bought Spawn back in the 90s meaning Amazon would have to buy Spawn's entire cast to use them
Mars Attacks. where the aliens when like "ACK ACK ACK" and all their heads exploded inside their helmets at the end for no reason. They sucked up a fucking nuke in that movie with like a gigantic Looney Tunes bike horn, and it was at THAT point in my young life that I experienced true hopelessness for the first time. like 'fuck I guess we just all die to these ugly bastards then....'
To go more in depth(not so much a spoiler), Dupli-Kate's power is basically, well, duplication, but it also has a hive-mind function so whichever Kate experiences something, it'll combine with Kate Prime as a way of 'filling in'. Similar to the Shadow Clone in Naruto. Another thing is that in episode 5, whenever Kate Prime is about to be killed, she creates another duplicate to escape death, and that Kate becomes Kate Prime but seems to overtax her since multiple Kates ended up dying at the same time or because the original died not seconds after.
Man I can't wait to see them react to episode 5. That is by far the best episode so far and until that episode this one was also my favorite. Battle Beast definitely lived up to his name.
