George REEVES was a very charitable man he helped the under privileged children & always gave to the homeless also, MAY GOD BLESS HIS SOUL & MAY HE R.I.P. MR GEORGE REEVES THE ONLY SUPERMAN WE AS CHILDREN IN THE 1950'S KNEW AS SUPERMAN.
Nicely done! Thank you from this 65-year old who loved “The Adventures of Superman” - especially the first two years. George Reeves was a fine actor and human being who left us too soon. He would have had a good career as an actor and director. And the suicide theory is crapola!
he found out later during the shows that he had a commitment to superman for the young ones and he was carrying a burden in his life to the people he loved..if one watches the show,it looked like he was in two minds ,there is isnt anyone that didnt like him,..the baby boomers grew up with superman ,geoge reeves..a man with heart
Great video. I'm impressed by how so many people love and revere George Reeves. I always felt that Reeves personified nobility . Many years later I saw an interview with Jack Larson(Jimmy Olson) and he said in real life George was very noble. He may not have been the star he wanted to be but he's a star in all of our eyes and hearts. Forgot the stars of that era, Reeves was something special
youve done a very good job here with these rare pictures and tribute,,ending with George and mother...she died obviously with a broken heart..trying to solve the riddle of her sons death,,well done..
I read somewhere that none of the series costumes survived. At the end of each season Mr. Reeves would cut out the insignia and then burn the costume..
@@PARKWOODECHO There is at least one in the Smithsonian Museum of American History. My husband was amazed at how small it was. I think like many kids of that era, he saw Mr. Reeves as a strong and rather massive father figure. Actually, I think the costume kinda shrank over the years as well - it looked like thermal knit.
George reeves was the best ever to play Superman.r.I.p
George's memory resonates today as well as if he had the career he desired. Maybe even better.
Great supernan i cried when i heard he died😢 i pray for his peace in heaven

@Wayne Pitty: Well said, my friend!!!
George Reeves would visit people in a costume he hated! How many would do that today?
yes you have very good point there..not many
Classic George reeves
Yeah not Harrison ford
I kind of like the gray and brown suit. If I had the Aurora model, that's how I'd do it.
The woman with George at the end is not his mother, Helen Bessolo. It is Gussie Donenfeld, the wife of DC Comics' Harry Donenfeld.
Wonderful video!
Ashley Taylor my first love, Dennis.
Obviously Not A Friend To The Person Who Murdered Him He Seemed To Be Geniune And Noble RIP Dana Rowe

Some of the costumes have survived. The burning of the costume story is most likely not true. Check out the Superman Museum in Metropolis IN
