    Good job. Next time either stone or emery cloth the key and it should go in easier. Also, always replace the bolt with a new one when possible. Keep up the great work!

      @Geremy, thanks for the tips. I will update the tool box with the emery cloth or stone next time and replace the bolt with spring/summer maintenance on the snow blower.

    Really enjoyed your video Mark....don't you love it when you master your machines? I've though hard about a snow blower for my Kioti but not sure that I could handle my neck wrenched around to the rear especially with my steep 1.5 mile driveway
    Thanks for sharing your success!

      @North Idaho Dreaming I have a mile of neck wrenching. Wish I had the funds for a front blower. I am saving up for my retirement years.

    Snow blower for us next year. That storm kicked my but to get us dig out.

      My neighbor sold his because he didn't use it for 7 years. I bought mine, so I wouldn't have to use it. Murphy's Law. This year, I am using it almost every storm to widen the road after the plow truck or to break the road open after a heavy snow. Which it was a front mount, but that is out of my price range.

      @@LivingaSustainableDream it took me about 12 plus hours to dig us out after the last storm. Now I’m going through and making room for the next storm. Taking way to much time. I have other stuff I want to get done before work starts up again. We would like a front mounted one. But I’m sure getting a mid pto mounted for a quick attach will be just as costly as a hydraulic with the pump on the rear. Haha! Look at me whining.

      Smart move. Driving backwards is a back and neck pain. The slush cleanup on Wednesday took me 7 hours. Today, I have to clean up the ruts and slush again.

    After I replaced the Sher pins there is a load bang noise every time the blower is used how come ?

    • @LivingaSustainableDream
      @LivingaSustainableDream  Год назад

      IDK, not enough info to diagnose. Many possibilities, pending how often the bang occurs, if the fan or auger is still moving? Has the gearbox oil been checked? It took me a day to figure out my key sheared.

    Keyway is what the key sets in.

    We're you still able to throw snow, but it didn't throw very far? Or did the fan and/or augers not turn?

    • @LivingaSustainableDream
      @LivingaSustainableDream  Год назад

      @karenschreck6788 We could not throw snow. Both auger and fan turned, but without the key, the fan would stop spinning when trying to move snow, and the bolt holding the fan on would begin to unthread.

    Just broke mine but lost the bolt and washer for some reason. I called BE but they only deal wholesale. Had to order parts through local tractor dealer. Luckily be here in 2 - 3 days

      Did you try your local hardware store in the nuts and bolts section? The exploded view in the manual tells the size of each part in the legend. That is how I found the key that cost me maybe 80 cents.

    The lights are cool. Where did you get them?

    • @LivingaSustainableDream
      @LivingaSustainableDream  3 года назад

      @Stu the lights were gifts from my son. He got them from Harbor Freight. I use the Blue adjustable one for backing up the tractor late at night; the lights' magnets for holding them to the tractor work great. It works for now until I install a backup light. Another project for later.

      @@LivingaSustainableDream that’s good to know I think I might have to get a couple. Thank you.
