Just curious, when removing the name ring, is it threaded into the name 67mm threaded barrel that filters thread into? I'm asking because the on my lens, the outer barrel that filters thread into, is a little loose. The name ring and the front element/group are not. Neither is the focusing helical. Its just that barrel that is held on by the 4 screws that are visible when the name ring is removed. I have a rubber ring removal tool but the name ring will not rotate. It's feeling like a poor repair and fix may have been attempted at some point in the history of this lens. Your video is great, and so far, it's the only resource I've found that provides any clues. Thanks!

But your video only shows getting the front group out, not the first element. Any tips or experience? I see the notches to thread the element out, but this can still mean the lens is glued or cemented of course. I'm talking about the 67 later version, but it is the same optical formula.
Can we still find parts anywhere for this old, 105mm lens?... like the next to last piece you put on just before the piece with all of the printing on it. Lens was dropped and edge with filter threads was crushed. :(
Hi, how did you set the infinity focus? I don't understand the part after you mounted the focus ring and then the 4 screws. Are the 4 screws keeping the focusing ring in place? Thanks!
My copy of this lens doesn’t stop down past f16, the aperture ring spins but the blades don’t move any further. After having the lens apart could you see any reason this could be?
Hello.i am using the pentax 67 with the 75mm f4.5 lens and when turning the focus ring until the infinity sign and aiming to a very far object i need to turn the ring a little bit back to get the focus right.is this called 'focus past infinity'? And what could be the problem causing it? Please help me if you can..thank you.
If the screen is secure in place it should be fine. You can check infinity focus placing a focusing screen or a piece of paper on the back of the camera with the door open and then take a look while the shutter is open.

You can use drops of isopropyl alcohol to loosen the name ring

Almost all lenses work with the same mechanisms, you can search for solutions in other videos (including 35mm lenses).
why not clean the glass while you're at it? or is the coating damaged beyond repair?

At 12:30 there are 3 screws to set the infinity focus. The 75mm should have the same type of adjustment.
