I mentioned this in the previous episode, but I feel it bears repeating here: to all commenters: *PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF SPOILERS* I've seen a slight trend in the comments of recent episodes where hints have been getting more and more explicit without any spoiler warning. I know y'all are eager for Allison and Gina to see your favorite scenes in this game - trust me, I am too. But they have the right to play blind if they prefer, so if you are going to provide those hints, please be mindful of how much info you are putting into your hint and consider using a spoiler guard. I know these comments are coming from a place of wanting them to get the most out of this game, but please be mindful of the fact that such well-intentioned enthusiasm could inadvertently sour part of the experience.
1:04:33 the amount of suspicion built up is recorded for each floor, so as long as you dont loop back to before floor 3 your sus points should still be good. man i really love the magic system in this world and how well its been integrated into the world building and characters. like the way that siffrin has been subconsciously doing small little wishcraft rituals despite forgetting everything else about his culture just goes to show how much their culture must have been centered around it. its all just so fascinating. i like how you guys take the time to discuss these kinds of things with each other too. cant wait to see yall put all the pieces together !! [progression related spoilers ahead] just as a heads up, the point of no return is approaching soon. its shortly after you follow through on figuring out other people's wishes. if there's more things you guys want to explore, like different endings or reactions, especially after the king fight, i'd suggest holding off a bit on figuring what out everyone else's wishes were (you can still ask people in dormont about their wishes, but there's one last step afterward that involves searching the house). of course, its entirely up to you when you feel like moving on to the next act, but since you guys mentioned trying to do another "oops all family" run, i thought i'd give you a heads up. i hope this is helpful
Man, the conversation about Wishcraft got me thinking with so many possibilities! My theory (haven't seen anything of the game other than this playthrough) is that two conflicting wishes are trapping us in the loop. If the king wishes for Vaugarde to be perfect and we wished to defeat the king, when we win we make his wish somehow impossible and to quote my favourite game series - "History abhors a paradox" and we get looped back. Same whenever we die before defeating the king - our wish can't come true, so we get looped. So now the question becomes - how do we resolve both / all of the wishes and make the loop not reset, if that is even what is making the loop happen in the first place... Man this game is so neat and just keeps going when you think a lesser game would've ended already...
I went back to the first episode, the options for Sif's wish were: "to visit more places with Mirabelle" "to wear clothes Isabeau has made" "to go with Odile to see her country" "to be here when Bonnie reunites with their sister" But of course the key text is after this Sif thinks "You want to stay with them!" which I assume happens with any of the wish choices So unless the Favor Tree fixated on "oh you want to stay with them? then get stuck in a time loop!" Ignoring the content of the wish completely then I don't think it was Sif wish that caused this
34:58 you appear to misunderstand the craft types, it's not that a craft type of a person is the one type of craft they can learn, but instead it's the type of craft they have the most affinity with while also being able to use the other two types with more difficulty (take for example siffrin and odile having craft skills of all three types)
I think the King has called Isabeau the fighter, I would think it's because he doesn't necesarilly know he is a defender? Very interesting the loops calls him that then, given they know their actual title

Pausing the video here for theory thoughts - 6:40 You know.... I've been wondering for awhile (A while like a few episodes ago I've wondered) about something that might not be right at all. But what if the King and Siffrin are related. At first I wondered if the king was like a parent of Sif's but I've since moved onto what if Siff just *IS* the King themselves? Like they are a part of the king somehow and they just broke away, and now with this, 'make a body of myself' with wish craft thing I can't help but consider this one even more. (Again, could be wrong but maybe?)
They could literally play the whole game in a single sitting, and I would still feel like the episode was too short. Time just absolutely FLIES with this series and I can't get enough of it.
