Great video bro. I think that advice can apply to just about any job not just RUclips. If you don't enjoy what you are doing whether it be a normal job or whatever then usually people get to be where they dread going into work or doing whatever it is that they do. It's like mental super glue. Your stuck because you need the money and your stuck in a mental state of mind as well.
absolutely... we spend so much time at work, if it isn't a job you love, or at least like, then the pay and conditions have to be good enough to make up for it... and if they aren't, get a different job!
Yeah, I enjoy doing this RUclips thing. Mainly because I get to ride while doing it! 😂. My regular job....ehh... don't hate it. But don't love it either. Thanks Sis!;
Great topic Kode, starting to see this a bit on some channels. It’s hard to make some time lines. That’s why I post twice a month only and damn sometimes that’s a struggle because of other commitments. You know work 😂😂
Work is always getting in the way!! 😂. I can't keep a schedule to save my life! That's why I never say what days my video will get posted. Cause I honestly can't be sure. Especially in the winter time.
I love RUclips and vlogging, however with work and family I do take a break every now and then. I also go away with work. I do try and watch, comment and interact with everyone , when I can. So sometimes I do tack short breaks but wouldn’t call it burnout. Great topic mate, well done 😎
Yep!! Work, family and doing this can make it all a bit hectic! I certainly enjoy doing this too. But I'll take a small break here and there myself. Actually not much choice in the matter during winter! 🤷. Thanks man!!
the burnout for me is real around this time of the year. Haven't been able to ride much so my interest and enthusiasm also dwindles. Also, trying to juggle other social medias .... it's a full time job!
I get the same way. When I can't ride I try to fill the time with other hobbies and get distracted by those. That does make it harder to focus on RUclips.
I’m taking a bit of a break from RUclips. Not because I’ve reached burnout or don’t enjoy it, but because it’s so time consuming and I have to get on top of other “real life” stuff. It’s killing me though 🤣 Can’t wait to get back to it properly. I’m sure if it was my livelihood the stress would get to me, and then burnout is just around the corner. Mrs KG, oldest trick in the book and it’s funny every time 🤣👌🏼 Great video Kode, covering an important topic 👍🏼
Great video and topic Kode! Good to see you and the wife having fun. YT burnout is a real thing. I just say take time off and come back when you feel like it! That’s what I did.

No burnout for me, I just film/upload whenever a topic comes to me or I have a part to install. Other than that I just do it because it's fun (not editing but the rest of it). And you're right, having some of the interaction with different people is great too! Great vid

I hear ya. During the winter it's hard to go to the places you want to record at. Or have the time to do some proper filming. I don't blame you for wanting to wait till you can do it the way you want to do it.
YT burnout is real, Go in and out of it all the time in the summer months.... in fact most of the year... 2023 has had a complicated start so not sure I'll be able to do once a week again for the burnout reasons and the day job has to come first a bit more with recent big bills. I don't want to feel like I "have" to either. In the summer that's easy. I can record whenever I feel like it. Sometimes in the winter though, if there is only one decent day in a week or two, I feel like I should make the most of it. But I try and stay out extra long to make up for the fun part!
I agree Dewey! If trying to record videos is taking the fun away from riding, then it might be time to slow down and try to find a way to make it fun again.

Great video👍..I’ll stop watching a motovlog as soon as the motovlogger starts complaining about making motovlogs, esp the ones that choose to do it as a full time job..Once the focus becomes more about getting views of their vids to make them $$, and less about them just making motovlogs for the fun of it, I’m done with that channel. Small time motovlogs are the best imho.
I couldn't agree more!! Watching Motovloggers complain to their audience that they aren't watching enough, or liking the video is kinda of cringey! Those things are nice to have but whining about it isn't going to help. It only makes people want to watch someone else. Thanks RS!!!

I will do several vlogs on a single day of riding, or make several videos from a day long ride, if I’m feeling the RUclips vibe. By doing this, I allow myself plenty of time to take plenty of rides without cameras, and therefore I’m able to clear my head on those rides….
That's a good idea. Unfortunately for me, I don't have enough SD card space and batteries for that. My videos may seem like I'm talking non stop, but that's the magic of editing. I get distracted my traffic, or just trying to ride safe. So a 10 minute video can actually take me 30 to 40 minutes to record.

That's a lot of videos man!! I could maybe do 2 a week during the summer. But I'm usually sleeping during the day since I work 3rd shift. Night time motovlogs are hard to film! 😂
Nice one KG yep totally agree if it ain't fun why do it ! if your doing it for yourself and just like a log of your years rides or somthin then it just doesn't matter no pressure do when the mood takes I think is the best way .Fer me it just takes to much to be good at it and unless your into editing and all that stuff just do it for yourself and if someone finds it one day and enjoys what they see then that's cool for them .That's my take anyway and mainly cos I am in no way interested in editing anything really it's just a fun thang 😉👌👍just leave it to you experts. I am glad some folks do care enough to get things just right also ! it just ain't me 🤘
Agreed! Mostly I do this for a personal diary. So no real pressure here. But I also do this to maybe inspire someone to ride, entertain myself or anyone who decides to watch. So it mainly about the fun factor for me. Thanks Crumblymal!!
yeah.. This whole RUclips job thing has crashed and crashed hard. The content on those channels are suffering really bad. They are unwatchable because everyone has to do all the same stuff to get the views. Just have fun, make fun content and it's all good.
On the big channels.. definitely!! Unfortunately many of them are more like commercials than anything about themselves. A few are still themselves, even when doing reviews. But many seem like the same video.
I'm currently burnt right out at the minute KG...Burnt right out of footage from all those weeks where i posted "2 vids per week"!!! 🤬🤣👍 Hope you, Mrs Grey & the family are well! 👍😎
2 vids a week...that's a lot of filming and editing!! I can see why you want to take a break!! This weather has me in the dumps as far as filming. Trying to record in freezing temperatures just sucks. Hoping to get back into the swing of things when it warms up a bit. Thanks John!!
I am seeing alot of burnout from creators. But I am also experiencing viewer burnout. Some channels that I used to watch at the same time each night. I am not watching as much anymore (this applies to some larger channels that I subscribed to).
Your not wrong there man!! Some of the larger channels I used to watch I don't watch much anymore. 2 reasons... I am trying to keep up with the smaller channels, and many of the big channels are just product commercials anymore.
I tried doing the twice a week thing then it boiled down to once a week and then lucky if I got once a month 😅. Gonna shoot for the mokn this year and upload consistently since I don't feel burnt out on anything anymore lol
Annnnnnnnnd now Bolt thinks your wife wants him lol. Can't upload in the north due to the weather?! Pfffffff Hold My Beer. Cutting back if you're felling burned out isn't a bad thing but to stop is like starting over, you lose you're place in the algorithm, viewers move on to other channels, etc. You definitely shouldn't record every time you go out, you have to remember that you ride because you like to ride, not to just create content
😂😂😂. I'm sure that's exactly what he was thinking!! I know what you're saying about recording in the winter. But you don't mind doing talking head videos, and I'm still uncomfortable doing them. Especially since I have no real privacy when I do. Stopping altogether definitely hurts the algorithm. That's why I suggested doing shorts to help offset that. Must ride for fun, not just for RUclips!
Great advice, it has to be fun. great job and it was great to see you and Mrs KG having a ball in this video.

🤔🤔 I wonder who some of these channels are... Lol.
Me too, but I wonder out of genuine curiosity - I've only seen one who has gone on hiatus...
@@RoadReality I know about 6 not included me. Lol 😆
@@truckinbiker Dang! I'm really NOT in the cool crowd, am I?
@@RoadReality neither am I.. lol
It's a few American and English Motovloggers.
I'm currently burnt right out at the minute KG...Burnt right out of footage from all those weeks where i posted "2 vids per week"!!! 🤬🤣👍
Hope you, Mrs Grey & the family are well! 👍😎
2 vids a week...that's a lot of filming and editing!! I can see why you want to take a break!! This weather has me in the dumps as far as filming. Trying to record in freezing temperatures just sucks. Hoping to get back into the swing of things when it warms up a bit.
Thanks John!!
@@KODEGREY Winter sucks wherever we live man! 😭
I sneaked out for a wee cheeky ride yesterday, oh and it's still great!!! 👍😁
I was definitely thinking anyone that does twice a week , honestly once a week could burn you out after time.
That's true!! Especially if they are high production videos with a lot of editing.
I tried twice a week for like a month. But I ran out of stuff to talk about 😆
That would be me too. I mainly shoot from the hip when it comes to topic's. Unless it's a review or something.
I tried doing the twice a week thing then it boiled down to once a week and then lucky if I got once a month 😅. Gonna shoot for the mokn this year and upload consistently since I don't feel burnt out on anything anymore lol
Yeah, I hear ya! Got to be in the right mindset too. Even without burnout, trying to upload that many times a week can be stressful.
@@KODEGREY It definitley was, can't wait to try it again 🤣
