When Tabitha was born and Darrin and Endora were looking through the hospital glass at the new babies....Darrin mentioned to Endora that Tabitha had dark hair....and Endora said it was just temporary.
Babies hair can change along. My daughter was born with red hair, and was cotton headed br age two, light brown hair later and today (age 45) medium brown.
Watch the way Liz handled the little girl, first by talking to her and the little touch with her finger before she hands her to Dick York. This child may have been about the same age as her second son Robert. It's really nice to see Sam/Liz being gentle like a new mother. ❤ Liz/Sam did the thing to the little one who they used early on to play Adam. In DADDY COMES TO VISIT, Sam talked to the baby and the response was really sweet. He/she responded like he/she was enjoying the attention. ❤
From the last show of Season 2, but not really -- this and the part just after the opening credits were the only scene they shot new for the episode to close out the season. The rest had been filmed earlier in the season but held back following Alice Pearce's death, so they could have a late- season episode with Gladys Kravitz ("Bewitched" would do the same thing in Season 5, holding back three Dick York episodes to run later in the season, after his back problems and reaction to the drugs he was taking forced him off the show).
Tabatha Stephens' birth in the season 2 episode "And Then There Were Three" featured infant Cynthia Black in the role. For the remainder of the season, Tabatha was played by twins Heidi and Laura Gentry, followed by twins Tamar and Julie Young. Fraternal twin toddlers Diane Murphy and Erin Murphy were cast for the role at the beginning of season 3.
When Tabitha was born she was described as having Samantha's features and Darrin's dark hair. This is so that when Darrin first sees Serena he thinks Endora had turned Tabitha into an adult. For the sake of continuity they chose dark haired babies to play Tabitha for the rest of season two. When they were looking for older babies for season three they chose Erin Murphy (and her fraternal sister Diane) due to her resemblance to Elizabeth Montgomery - choosing to disregard the previous references to her having dark hair.
In time, they began to look less alike, so Diane was dropped during season 4. Diane made several guest appearances in other roles, and filled in as Tabatha one last time in season 5's "Samantha Fights City Hall", because Erin had the mumps.
Yeah I found that very odd too. I don't ever remember seeing Tabitha as a brunette baby. It's very strange that the director didn't keep the consistency of hair colour all along. Why didn't they just cast a smaller baby with blonde hair from the beginning? Would be a fun piece of trivia to find out!
I just wished Elizabeth Montgomery could have helped Dick York with his bills since he didn't have enough money to deal with hospital bills etc. It would have been a kind offer just the same.
Angela Carleton For years she was suffering with cancer throughout her body and all over her head. She had enough to do with paying her own bills. We’re not responsible for other people who can’t help themselves, simply because we worked with them. You don’t know the kind of relationship they may have had. The only person who’s being unkind is you with your uncalled for comment
A few folks have been commenting that they preferred Dick Sargent as Darrin, along with some pretty good reasons why. Personally, I didn't and don't have a preference. I was just glad both fellas were enough alike to look at so that it wasn't too much of a leap in Dick Sargents believability as Dick Yorks replacement. They were both lucky buggers to have been able to say "Ive kissed Elizabeth Montgomery!!!" ... wish I had...! 😊
People's hair colour can change over time. For one famous example, Queen Elizabeth had blonde hair when she was a little girl, then it went dark as she got older. I've known people who were born with dark hair, then it went blonde.
When she was born, Darrin says she has dark hair "like mine." Endora replies, "Baby fuzz. It will rub off soon." Plus babies' hair color can change as they get older. (Real reason: different sets of twins played Tabatha, later corrected to Tabitha, until they settled on the blonde Erin Murphy).

Could someone send me a link to an older Tabitha using magic. It was SO cute the way she used her finger to mover her nose, and the {DINK DINK DINK DINK} SOUND!

My favorite show as a kid.i got out of school at 12 and watched bewitched then took a nap with mama.
So much for unconditional love towards your child...

Clean and funny why can't show,s today be like this?
Cause producer's in Hollywood today have warped minds, and no conscience or morals!
Overcomer Ministry more like the audience are into this anymore
One of my favorite shows
farmers daughter same!
@@voiceover-impressionist agree
Remember when adults did the baby sounds. I do not even miss that.
I love this show !
I miss them!
Considering this is colorized, they could have made that baby a blond to match the older Tabatha
Tabitha had black hair when she was born, so did my three children!
In time, they began to look less alike, so Diane was dropped during season 4. Diane made several guest appearances in other roles, and filled in as Tabatha one last time in season 5's "Samantha Fights City Hall", because Erin had the mumps.
i miss this show!!
Well if u miss it wach it.
darren is such a muggle
Great show
I don't remember Tabitha every being a brunette
its the low broiler setting =)
Me either
She was early on, wasn't played by the Murphy twins yet.

Saint Raphæl geez... many babies are brunette at the beginning and after a period ( aprox 6-12 months) the hair lightens up
Truly amazing show. Wish show full show. Waste of money short clips of show.

Amo demais essa série e em especial este episódio, pois assisti quando eu tive minha primeira filha ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Considering they were both gay...
DisneyFanatic2364 Sargent was gay, but I don’t think York was.
Michael Rawson , I'm one of those people, who love Dick Sargent as Darin

i had strawberry blonde hair as a baby which went more blond then brown....now i just have gray hair....>LOL
Love these ...... twitching episodes! ......
Samantha is energy conscious. She turned the light off when she went back to the kitchen. 🙂
nice episodes too good full ones please
I thought that was Adam?
I love the commercial before
Tabitha was a blonde baby why does it show that she has black hair in this clip?
Great viewing.
Wonder why Samantha put the light on?
when did tabitha have dark hair

Now that's what I call humour
That was great. Loved that show. But since when has tabitha been a brunette? She was blonde. 🤔
There were actually three sets of twins that played Tabitha. The Murphy twins were the last set to play her.
@@jep624 yes! Plus endora called it "baby fuzz" even though it grew in dark. I think the explanation was it lightened with her age
@@rcd2000 True, I know lots of babies that were born with jet black hair and it got lighter to a shade blonde.

Is that a Menorah in the background?
You ever notice this child seems to have black hair. Tabitha had blonde hair
Darin would have heard the light switch click.
I like Him more than the second actress of Darren

only if you're in Canada.

I thought Tabitha had blonde hair??
When did she go blonde??
That baby is not Erin Murphy!!!
I always thought Tabatha was a blonde !
Never cared for either Daren his anti witch attitude always annoyed me to no end. I loved Sam the most then Endora
Why does Tabitha have black or dark hair.? In most of the episodes she has blonde hair.🤔
Where are the other parts. :( :(
Darren is so paranoid..
Why the way they speak i remember scooby doo cartoons
For anyone out there who reads this, Dick York is an almost perfect clone of Jim Carey!!! Or vice versa, how has nobody else noticed this!!!
Jim Carey was originally cast in the Bewitched movie but for some reason couldn't do it and was replaced by Will Farrel
No way. Dick York was a great actor and Jim's art narrows only to make funny faces.

Im Tabatha on Bewitched
you're Cynthia Black?

The baby Samantha is holding, was her son, who had hair like her husband. Dave Archer.
No; the baby was played by three sets of twin girls. And her husband's name was William Asher.
Darrin was racist towards sam & hear family
I thought. Tabitha was blonde
Yeah Ben Franklin invented that magic 😃Everyone who knew that gets an A 😉
black not blonde? Mmm.
Babies hair change color sometimes
Aint the baby suppossed to be blond though?
He knowing marries a witch and has problem with witchcraft
He didn't actually find out she was a witch until after they married. She led him to believe he was marrying a normal woman.
