Thank you again for getting that Secret Santa order out last minute, it was a HUGE help. The recipient received it safely and they loved it! They also loved the sticker you included!
I haven't ordered from you for a few years now. I have a gunpla shop nearby in Vancouver here and the prices are the lowest I've seen, good selection and no shipping costs. I'm really happy to see however, that you are still going strong despite some of the previous setbacks you encountered. My experience with Canadian Gundam was always excellent. It's unfortunate I don't live closer as I ran the warehouse at a local Visions Electronics outlet for several years. I would have gladly volunteered my services.
Well, thanks for watching our videos. It would be nice if you’re closer to us, maybe we would’ve learned from your experience to help our warehouse situation!

To help with some of the space constraints I think it’s time to put a cap on the new Private warehouse orders. Grandfather the old ones and for a limited time put like a 90 day time frame either ship it or it gets refunded.
@@oddmanoutprops9391 I mean in a sense he wouldn’t cause the items would go back up on the site and obviously they would sell fairly easily. He’s shown some kits that have been PW for a few years now and I’m sure people would kill for them
@@oddmanoutprops9391 well I don’t want pat to lose money obviously but if it helps move inventory that’s otherwise frozen in time. A few videos back he showed a kit that’s been PW for a few years now, which is super crazy so that’s why I said ship or refund. I’m sure someone else will scoop up the kits when they get posted again.
Made my last comment before you mentioned the volunteer thing... I VOLUNTEER! I once texted about exactly that and never heard back from you but I totally didn't expect to hear from you either since it was an out there idea but I would be very happy to do this especially considering the Christmas rush is coming so if you make like a google form this for a sign up id do so happily. The shirt should read "I survived a day at Canadian Gundam and all I got was this tee shirt" lol. Your logo on the front breast with the words on the back.
Honestly for me the warehouse is such a good representation of my mind. A giant mess that needs to be cleaned. Its probably just because I’ve been in a mind jumble for a while, debating studying and just being a disaster. It does suck that you have to charge taxes for kits but honestly I’m not too mad because I’m used to paying taxes for everything I buy ( Gunpla iz included which sucks ) but hopefully I’ll return to my cart and get some kits and pay a lil more for Amy’s cookies. Have a good one and good luck for Christmas orders!! Edit: I’ve always wanted to help out at a Hobby Store or Gundam Store cause its my hobby so why not?
I feel like my mind is the same as this warehouse, like yourself. so many things are constantly happening and sometimes it is very much overwhelming. But it is fun to be here! Wish I had more room I think that would help!
Dont do a volunteer worker thing. Youre opening yourself tk a lawsuit for wage theft and workers compensation claims, etc. work is work, and work is paid. If you ever let anyone into your warehouse for any reason other than to pick their own order theg are employees and you need to pay them appropriately. The very last thing you need is an employment lawsuit.
I kind of agree, but there are people out there like me that would love to drive a forklift for a day or a excavator and dig a hole for fun. Those are the people I’m looking for. It’s also a learning experience, because what I can teach in a few days would take years worth of schooling. But for sure, I would have a form signed so that you if you got hurt at the warehouse there’s no repercussions but imagine you getting hurt packaging Gundam’s seems kind of silly!
Thank you for shipping my order GLS so it wasn't lost in Canada Post oblivion. I know it must be good exercise dodging all those kits but you should really spend a day just organizing, man! lol get Dr. Evil to help, he just stands around laughing anyway.
Gunpla seems to count for the break and not count at the same time? It counts IF it's a toy for kids (14 and under I think?) that "Involve building, creating or assembling structures, objects or models by using pieces, parts, materials or modelling compound" (This is taken from the canadian government's site) But, it doesn't count if it is a: "Collectibles that are not intended for play or learning, such as hockey cards or collectible dolls OR Toys and model sets that are marketed for adults (for example, adult Lego or train sets)" It's a really weird distinction, since all games and game consoles are exempt, even ones rated M. If you have an accountant or someone, I'd recommend just passing the question through to them, they'd probably be able to answer it pretty easily.
That’s exactly my dilemma they count and don’t count at the same time just like you said so I don’t know and it is extremely risky. If I choose not to collect the HST I could be punished later on when the government wants the HST for all the orders that came in the two months. It really should be a break on everything. This would make everything such a straightforward thing, but because of all of these stipulations, it becomes a bit of a mess and a bit of a risk.
@@CanadianGundam Completely agree! It's also really silly that they SPECIFICALLY mention "Adult Lego" by name, when the only difference is the box it comes in? Honestly, huge fumble from our government.
Imo, gunpla PG MG RG unlikely to be qualified, HG / Entry grade model kits are very chaotic and I do agree with Patrick that they need to be hand picked to make changes in POS (in the busiest season with less than one month for prep), and all the extra labor just for two months then change back? I'm on the same boat, I run a hobby shop in BC and we have 10k+ active skus among other toys and I kinda give up.
i would be down to help at the shop sounds like a fun time. It would also get me out of my house 😂. and yea a discount sounds better than add GST break thing
