You just got a subscriber because you didn’t say where you were or any kind of hints other than “wee little spot in the highlands”. I respect the hell out of that. As a trail builder and bike patrol in the summer. There is nothing worse than hearing random people talking about a new trail that you built and only 4 people knew about and help build. Yet someone had loose lips and now my trail is packed. Sorry. That was a bit of a rant.
Thanks! Yeah it’s a controversial one. If the place or trail is small or low key or not built by the big companies then we keep the location unknown so it’s not promoted and busy. Other times though, some trail builders have asked to promote the trails as they want them bedded in or ridden so it’s a bit of both depending on the situation :). There have been a lot of big trail centre projects recently in Scotland which are exciting and it’s good to have more of a mix of unofficial stuff and the hotspots 😃
Good to see you enjoyed riding your new ebike, had my ebike a couple of years now and still love it great for sessioning trails youve never ridden. Can handle either the smaller jumps or table tops but usually avoid the bigger gap jumps or the short but steep locally built jumps, have scratched the bash guard on my ebike motor more than once on these. Ebikes do wear through your chain and cassette quicker than they would on regular bike would recommend getting a good quality chain I run a KMC E-12 as I snapped my previous two chains. I've been called a cheat by non ebikers on a few occasions but am having too much fun to care! 😂 especially climbing hills who thought that could be fun also! besides am going round trails several times so still using plenty of my own energy and I use trains to get to various location so usually pedal without ebike motor on to save battery for steep climbs when necessary. Enjoy you ebike adventures, great video and thanks for sharing 😁🤙
Loving it. Yep ebikes are so much lower aren't they! Cheers for the chain tip! I am a fan of KMC chains. I'm splitting time between the regular bike and this so should get a decent bit out the components. Haha totally, they are fun! You're right, smashing trails all day is still using a lot of energy and strength! Did a munro last week and manoevring the bike up and over water bars etc for the whole climb was really physical. Great to be able to actually ride that climb though as no chance on a regular bike. E biking is just a different format of biking! Glad you enjoyed the vid. Cheers!
I have a Turbo Levo and I agree... the weight makes it more work in some ways! But I'm absolutely LOVING this thing. Oh and btw I think your accent is soooo awesome!
It’s a great wee spot. Always stop by for a ride if we’re up in the highlands. Thanks glad you enjoyed it! Oh fantastic. We had a few days in cairngorms after this and it was great. Love the landscape there and the endless riding and routes! Enjoy when that comes!
Thanks! Haha it's only a matter of time! Give it a few weeks and he'll be zipping about. Absolutely. It's a different format of biking imo and I enjoy it! You can stick it on boost mode and get laps in or the E-EWS showed us just how savage and knackering e biking can be if you want it to be 😅
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB Absolutely!! Great to see people perception change... you'll still get the purists who will frown on it but great to see some faces of the sport like yourself get stoked on a eeeb!
That is the best E bike on the market. I would get the VRX but they do not ship to the US. Steve Jones from EMBN just did a story on this bike and he raves about it. You are lucky you have this. Happy Fourth of July and enjoy.
It sure is amazing. Stock sells out like mad it's that popular. Tam has his eye on the VRX. Such a great spec for the money. That's a shame you can't get it there! Cheers will definitely enjoy it :D
great video! I love my new E-bike as well! they are great, we do big rides in them in short amount of time. For the jumping, I had problems in the beginning as well till I figuered out that if you go a little bit faster than on a regular bike, the jumps get easier with the E-bike. So Speed is the awnser to everything 😂😂😂😂. Have fun! Always welcome to join us in the Italian Alps this summer 😀 otherwise hope to see you guys this winter
It’ll be nice to have yours instead of the rope 😃 that will be tomas soon too! It’s great especially if we leave the dog and don’t have much time. Can still do a big ride! Haha you are ten times better at jumping than me 😆 but it makes sense that would help. Speed is definitely my friend for jumps 😂. Oooh well we were planning Pyrenees but that has changed to alps so hopefully we could maybe meet you guys for some time!
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB hahaha, I can highly recommend the gaint reign e or the nukeproof megawatt for Tomas 😉! E-bikes are great. I have heard from my wifey and we will have a Alps meeting. We are going to travel a little faster than planned to meet up with you guys 🤣. Looking forward
Great to see you on an e-bike, Tam will be next for sure. Try going out for full power rides, try Inners cx trail. Or try Glentress, where you can hammer down trails like Deliverance. Try to ride faster than you normally would, it should be easy on turbo. Now look for those new line's , your going way to fast now to use the line's your used to using. Relax hang on and go for it. Great fun video guys X.
Yup he’ll be on one very soon I think! Loving it. I think I need to work on my climbing skills most 😅 technical climbs are tough! It’s great being able to pedal mid trail and just fly through stuff. Thanks glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! E bikes are so much fun, need to get myself one for some extra laps 👌🏻 Was good seeing you guys at pitfichie, need to arrange a ride sometime maybe get a tow up 😆
Just picked up a specialized Levo comp and only have 50 miles on it but already considering selling my hard tail and my non e bike full suspension, the e bike is just too fun!
Thanks! It’s been amazing. Got it out in Spain this past month too and handles so well on everything. No maintenance too despite all the rough trails and dust. I’m 5ft 5 and on the small. My other half is 6 foot and went for a large 👍
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB Excellent, I'm 5' 9" so it sounds like the Medium for me then. Hopefully in the next month of so I will also be a proud owner of an E-Sommet🤞
Ebike makes climbing great again..lol. definitely more upper body work out on ebike, and also have to brake a bit earlier compared to analog bike. enjoy your ebike.
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB Vitus bikes get really good press for all the right reasons and they'll be in the running for sure 👍. Might all come down to availability

Thanks glad you enjoyed it! It was a proper fun day out this one haha. Yeah they definitely have their place!
Great video, love watching both of you. So watchable and funny. 👌👌
Thanks! 😁 Glad you enjoyed it. Love sharing the fun in the vids!

Great Vid thanks! Is that constant rattling from the EP8 Motor?
Thanks! I didn’t really notice it so can’t say for sure but could be! 😅
Brilliant video

Great video, I am desperately wanting this bike, how is it fairing?
What size frame is that and how tall are you?

When are you guys coming back to Ballo for an e-ride?
Ah would love to! Not been to Ballo for a long time! Summer just gets so crazy. There’s not a free weekend for months 😳

It does 🙌 it’s nice being able to try some more techy climbs! Cheers will do!
@Laura Jane & Wee Tam MTB You'll love it until it needs a new headset.
haha i saw the routing! 😅 Lasts me ages though so once a year is ok!
I tried an ebike the other day and I only need a few thousand to get one 💶😢😂
Haha yeah they don't come cheap eh. The cost of the Vitus ebikes are impressively lower than a lot of other non e-bikes

I know 🤣🤣🤣
