Great ride , beautiful country .
You are still being productive when you are onward and upward. You are also training your dogs and you are moving and doing and you are making beautiful and informative videos for all of us to watch. I’m watching too late to try for the tumbler.
Wow thank you so much .. I keep trying
My great grandparents came to the Mesilla Valley 100 years ago, from west Texas. Spent a couple years farming where Burn lake is now. Then moved down to La Mesa. My grandad said those hills above Radium were real good deer hunting back then. My roots run deep in this country.
Thats cool .. yes there is still deer there not as many .. I use to take my oldest daughter to Burn lake when it still had water in it .. thanks for watching
23 smiles, unhh miles here kitty here kitty lol
It was 15.2 .. and we had a winner already .. Thanks!
I'm guessing 16 and a half miles looks like a beautiful outing love the camaraderie between the mule and you and the dogs a well-oiled machine
We try .. It was 15.2 .. and we had a winner .. Thanks!
Easy to relate to your guilt bit. I have been retired for a long time, but still need a feeling of accomplishment…..and need the motivation to start, then all good…exactly ! In the old days, I called country like that, .270 country. Hard to ID your rifle on the ground….maybe a old model 92 Winchester….Thanks Brett 🤠
Its a model 94 Winchester 30-30 .. I will still be working but it will be at what I want to do .. hounds, mules and packing into some wild country .. and of course trying to make better videos ... Thanks
@@BrettVaughnB100 Your videos now, are great. Luv the interviews with the old hunters. I have a old 94 in .32 spec. Reading the Dobie book on the Ben Lilly legend…..unusual man for sure, even if half true. Thanks Brett.
Most self-employeed people I've known, including myself, can't ever truly give up a business. Business owners have this itch to create; we can never sit still. But occasionally like the long vacations. I think you probably have this figured out by now. I love watching your life.
I think your right ... thank you
Well Brett,,,,,ya do what ya wanna do, when ya wanna do it !!! You worked all your life to get where you are, so ENLOY yourself, your Mules, your Dogs, your family and your recliner. I retired in 2003, and after working part time for boll weevil eradication, and a short stint on an escavator, I hung it up for good. It took a while, but I soon started feeling good about it !!!! No regrets !!! Thanks for the great videos !!
Your welcome and thank you .. I am getting used to it .. I like it lol
Thanks

Thanks I hope they turn out .. I had winner 15 miles
I enjoy your videos I'm like you born 100 years to late. Probably Round 14 miles on your trip.
Me and Buck Gardner chased after a lion south of Arivaca Arizona, we saw the lion run from one tree to another with the dogs trailing several times. We chased that lion for hours and never got it. Dogs were so close to it and never seen it. Was the craziest thing. Dogs were within 100 feet a couple times but couldn't take off.
They can sure be tough sometimes ... I had one up at my camp that would jump out of the tree every time I got within 100 yards .. did that like 4 times .. Thanks Chuck
Great video .. I got to admit that I travel that state of Confusion quite a bit myself lately it seems Brett .. lol ..

Neat, neat, neat country. I bet there’s still some big mulie bucks in that country. Even if there’s not, I’d like to imagine that there are since I love seeing them in high desert and PJ country. Preferably with my 270, 280 or 7Mag in hand! 🤠 I remember Frontier Ford from their commercials that had the truck driving over the Frontier Ford logo that look like rocks. Great memory! My guess was 14 miles. How close was I?
Close it was 15 .. had a guy already guess right ... Yes there are still some big ole bucks in there .. just kinda hard to get close to with all the hounds lol .. Thanks

Great video
I can relate . I'm 64 and having the same problem with my recliner. It seems to tear up every day and I have to put a rear end in it. Some days I get energetic and hook up a team of mules and ride in the mountains. Building me a Sheep Wagon to do some camping out of. Would be nice out there where you're at to dri back in that wilderness and then have the mules for transportation and packing for a week or so.
lol yep we have the same problem .. let me know when your wagon built .. are you planing on traveling in it ? Have you seen Bernie Harberts? River earth ? if you get a chance look him up .. sounds like you got a plan good luck and thanks for watching
Thanks. That tail thing bothered me too
I hate when people always want to give there 2 cents on what you need to do,especially when it's obvious your a very seasoned person and know what your doing

Brother , I can tell you that after retirement the guilt of not working everyday does go away with time I've worked since I was 11yrs old and ran my own co since I was 22 , I'm pretty much in same situation as you sold my co but and I'm still there to help them if its needed and I still make sales calls fo them and I kept few lines to represent for myself , I guess we're made different than a lot of people because I know guys that do absolutely nothing when they retire and man that would kill me I still wake up at 5 / 5:30 am everyday in my opinion if ya dont keep your body and mind working you'll get weak and you'll die sooner than ya want .
Take care Brother.
God Bless!
Kyle

Hello Brett,
Where is your home base located? Looks like you are in Arizona or New Mexico on most of your excursions! I live in North Phoenix. Would love to meet up with you, and your dogs and Mules! One thing I have always wanted to do is pack into a wilderness area here in AZ. Would love to camp out when the conditions are cool, and the stars are bright. As a kid I used to ride a Morgans, mostly during school breaks, I cleaned tack and heat walked and washed Polo ponies after Polo meets. Wasn't allowed to ride those fancy polo horses. but got plenty of time riding quarter horses. Would like to find out how I could meet up with you, maybe ride with you if possible. I spent most of today watching your segments.
Thank you, Conrad Scott
Thank you for watching .. I'm in Southern New Mexico .. do you ever get out this way ?
thank you Sir for the videos. what about snakes and dogs any problems? what king of collard are you using for your dogs.
When it warms up rattlesnakes are bad down here .. gotta be careful .. I use the Garmin collars and Alpha 200 tracking .. try not to use it much but it is good security .. Thanks
