We were in San Ignacio the week before you went. My wife’s hometown is San Ignacio. She took me there for the first time…. I fell in love with the place.
It's a place that just draws you in and you never want to leave somehow, right? I think it's the people that make you fall in love with it. What did you like the most about San Ignacio or your favorite thing to do there?
Belize is: The Jewel, where Central America meets The Caribbean! Thank you for this video. You represented Belize well. Belize is diverse, and we love it that way. The more the merrier! Keep coming back.
Sorry for the late reply, I've been sick lately and your comment made me feel so much better! 🤗 Thank you!!! I'll start saving up for my next trip then 😚
Awww, fresh fruits. Belizean people know how to cook good food. I love custard apple, coconut, sour sop, and a whole lot more. I can't wait to visit. 😊😊
Right? Everything I put in my mouth was amazing, the fruits tasted like it was just plucked from the trees, dishes were wholesome! Sometimes when I get hungry, I watch the videos to remind me how good they tasted lol 😂
It's really Epic when Foreignors actually visit Belize and not just the Islands of Belize as if that's what Belize is only. I've always listened or seen youtube vids from those only in the islands saying this or that. Possibly maybe going on tours. Others from Cruise ships staying in Belize city where really there isnt much other than some decent restaurants. I wont lie The old Capital isnt as bad as some people say but it isnt all that or the safest for anyone. But when i see Videos like this i have to applaud and give props because This is where you really experience the real beauty or culture from the local restaurants/markers/little snack shops. Idk about bland lol. But if you go to the read deal small time local spots you would be surprised from how Finger licking food can be. None of that poshe chef big time 4-5 star restaurants or big living from those seeking to live the high life :p Get to know a loca and i guarantee your mind will be blown when it comes to the different dishes. Especially during certain times a year when we have lobster fest or any fest. You can find the lifestyle and moments to be memorable. Thanks for showcasing Belize in one of the most positive way i've seen. Hope you enjoyed your stay to the max
Thaaaank you! Next time I'm in Belize, I really wanna take my time and go to less touristy towns and just hang out with locals. I have a question, is there a book somewhere that tells you how to be a great Belizean? I'm just wondering bcuz every Belizean I've ever met is super proud of their country and the nicest person! Like u guys have unwritten rules or a book you live by! In Mongolia, we're kinda the same, but not everyone though 😅 😅 😅
@@MelMashbat XD haha Honestly You're absolutely welcome. Hope you can find Belize to be a sort of 2nd home when you happen to pass by or visit whole heartedly. Indeed you should but i realize for a tourist or foriegner time is a huge factor depending on their intended stay. But definitely you should Check out the least Touristy spots. I'd probably explain and share stories but it would be too much to add here. Even as a Belizean sometimes we dont go to none of those nice places, Not because we cant but mainly it's like a 1 time deal. Why spend on that when you can practically get way better food at the local fav spots. Richer food is better. Especially with great company or casual outings. A book huh haha Probably Probably, I dont really think so. It's been quite a while since i've seen any Belizean books but I know of one book i read back in highschool by the Govenor General. Patakiful Tells a bit about Belize and some of the stuff Belizeans see or live. As to whether it tells you how to be a Belizean :) Idk But i can tell you to be a Belizean is basically to add the idea of Everyday being a party of sorts. People here always are on the look out to enjoy themselves and it's a near accurate cultural moral. To be be a belizean is to know early is bad and reaching 2 hours late is basically on time. Have a few beers, relax as to there is no need to rush anything. And most of all when in rome do as the romans do. Have fun, and just be yourself as you join in on the many festivities or just simply peaceful lives we lead. Just too much to share in one reply :) XD Belizeans are proud fun people and definitely friendly. I think its due to the fact we are really intermingled within the many cultures and races here. We aren't perfect but i cant say we have much of any issues with one another. I't's a very young and small country. Just about any and everyone is a friend/family member or someone you know. Plus Tourists and Foreigners coming in means a steady lively hood. It's necessarily due to the econmic gain or marketing but also It's just the way we are. It takes no real effort to create and make a connection with someone however short or long term it may be. AS a result :p even they get their home/store/restaurant or in this case country show cased? That's already something big for any Belizean. Tourism is one of the biggest job or type of employment. And anyone coming to Belize imo that actually explores and joins in on the Belizean lifestyle is already an honary Belizean. Feel free to ask if there is anything i can maybe help explain.
wow Thank you for an amazing insight! Morals and the culture of a country always fascinate me, especially when they're ingrained in almost everyone! I would be greatly honored if next time I'm in Belize, you'd be a guest in my video!
@@MelMashbat No Prob :) I'm Glad i could share a bit about Belize. I know there are far more capable Belizeans who have more knowledge but some of the little i could share. It's a not an issue ^^ . I suppose we can chat more about the Guest aspect of your video some time or the other :) It's always a Great Experience meeting someone who appreciates Belize for its raw beauty and what it has to offer. 😁😆
Interesting point! 🤓 Belize is on the mainland of Central America, although it does have hundreds of islands in the Caribbean sea. And according to Wiki and Belize's official website, it's part of both. And I'm referencing "Caribbean" in my video as I always dreamt of enjoying fish from the Caribbean and swimming in it, too. 😉
@@MelMashbat i am Belizean, so thank you for using the internet to explain to me how the ocean means you are no longer in central America but the Caribbean ... and there call Cayes babes 👌
If you watched it closely, I never said that "Belize is located IN the Caribbean". 😉 The opening sentence says "my first time in the Caribbean and in the jungles of Belize", referencing my other videos made snorkeling IN the Caribbean, in the CAYES & my other video in San Ignacio. Check out my other Belize videos to see if I made any mistakes, cheers 😘

So good!
The game with the dice is called Crown and Anchor, common also in Jamaica.
would love to visit Jamaica, too! Anthony Bourdain's episode in Jamaica is forever etched in my brain 😅
@Mel Mashbat You should, I highly recommend it. It would definitely be an experience if you explore beyond the resorts.
Great work, very talent makes oll videos and thank you very much for your information
