9:41 Is why Urban and Mullen's offense worked so well. The threat of the inside TE pitch prevented the overload on the RB pitch, it kept the LB's inside guarding the inside pitch. Easy Touchdowns all day man. Dan Mullen a genius.
I liked Florida's field design as it was in this game, with the block orange F in the center of the field and the gators on the 35-yard line. I wish they hadn't changed it.
It's staggering to look back and remember just how much we hated Meyer's offenses for being so pedestrian and lackluster considering the talent he had on those teams. When we had Meyer, all we could do is compare his boring low scoring offenses to the high powered fun'n'gun offenses of Spurrier and despair. Now here we are 5 years later and we look back fondly on the Urban Meyer offenses as if they were somehow something special, that's just how far we've fallen off offensively and it sucks. Really ready to get this ship turned around and heading in the right direction, putting all the other SEC East teams under our boot heel where they belong.
jkutyna u guys thought ur offense was bad,? u guys were scoring 40 50 points a game with a spread offense lol. he utilize his speed guys like Harvin demps rainey James etc
i hope we have a good offense and defense and special teams next year. i mean we have great recruitng all we need to do is have good coaching and hopefully we have a good season next year.i really hope we have a 14-0 record next year
Spikes punting the ball lol 😂 Also say what you will about Dan Mullen in 2023, he still has one of the most brilliant playbooks at any level of the game. I really hope to see Brian Johnson implement some spread option in Philly this year after his time with Mullen. With Jalen Hurts under center, it could be pretty awesome.
not with driskel i dont think. when grier comes in we'll have a true pro-style offense. we got a pretty good group of WRs last year, hopefully get some more this year. our offense should improve a lot.plus the NO FLY ZONE on defense. need better OL recruting though...we're awful at that

could be a indication of how strong the competition was. I still think this is the best college football team ever, years 2008-2009. FSU went undefeated last year playing a cupcake schedule so that doesn't mean they were the best ever just the best relative to their current competition in that year. It is VERY difficult to beat bama, lsu, Arkansas, Georgia, fsu, auburn, and then the eventual nat champion opponent all in one year without ever losing.
+Ray Miller And to think that the 1996 Florida team would have nearly shut out this 2008 Florida team. Tells you just how much things have changed over the years.
They get everybody's best shot every year. Florida has been so good for so long it's hard whenever you play Bama every year in the SEC Championship and LSU, TN, FSU, etc. Who cares if FSU has gone undefeated the 2008 Gators would rape the 2013 Seminoles EASILY!

Glad we have Mueller back. Even when the cards were stacked against us, we prevailed in many games we could have easily lost this last season
God I miss these days. I was only 15 when this season happened. Go Gators!

Football and basketball dominate at the same time. I don't think I've seen another team do it. The next decade belonged to Florida baseball.

2020 team needs to watch and study games like this. This is how Florida Football should be played.
This 2008 Gators team will go down as one of the top 5 teams of all time. Would've loved to see them face off against 04 USC or 04 Texas
flash 22 no way. Especially defensively the 08 team is night and day better
Hell yeah:
1. 01 Miami
2. Alabama any year since 2009
3. 08 Florida
4. 05 Texas

jkutyna There was no better offense during the UF-Meyer era. They scored 50 avg on these top opp. defense...
I mean Urban is the maker of this modern spread/option/reverse/air raid.
