Wowwww video quality has changed so much over these past almost 12 years, that it's simply unbelievable. And after nearly 12 years I got my first 2007 Miata soft-top Grand Touring 6-speed manual with 53K miles. I got to say, this car is really awesome to drive and delivers unlimited amount of fun. Will keep it as long as I can and teach my son (when he grows up) one day how to drive a manual transmission. Although, I'm 12 years late to this video, I still would like to say thank you for this video!
@blondienirvana Yeah I'm 6'5 and fit ok in most regular mid sized cars and even some small sized cars because they allow the seat to be pulled back a long way and I can also lean back a long way if needed. And I'm confortable with that position. But roadsters are two seaters and less flexible with the seats.
6ft 1 also and I think its pretty comfortable. Though if I were a couple inches taller I'd probably hate being in there. I personally don't mind the small interior, it makes me feel like I'm part of the car.
@dcin1 i'd say wait, the next generation mazda is going to be a lot smaller, and as light as possible, around 2200 pounds, first ever mazda fuel injected engine, and it will have a pretty aggressive look.
@richrdroma I'm 6' 2'' and my roadster choice is an S2000, I fit fine; but remember, you're always going to have people who have more leg length or more torso length, so it really depends on you're personal height.
Yes, A Miata is not a good choice if it would be your only car. Its not that its not totally reliable, but after a number of months, its small interior seems to wear out its welcome. However, Miatas are a great second car, probably one of the best choices for a second car, a fun car, a weekend car, a true sports car. The car also returns around 30 mpgs, and it is quite fast running about the same 0 -60 times as one of those overweight, ill handling american mustangs with a big V8 gas hog engine.
They neeeeeeeeeeeeeeedd to put the Speed 3 engine in it. In fact Mazda should include the speed 3 engine in all mx5s. That would really make the car fun!
@richrdroma I know this is a little extreme but Porsche for me and many others is a great tall person car. the tallest person in my family is 6' 7" and he fits (all be it with a lot of adjusting) great in a 911. If you can, check one out man; another great drivers car.- Ian
This is directed to all sports car manufacturers: please do not tailor-make small sportscars for very tall people or very large people. Those of us in the 5'6" to 5'10" range would still like a tight fitting driver's car, not a boat or a huge coupe. Thank you kindly.
don't get wrong guys the miata is a hell of a car but i couldnt imagine dropping 31k thier is just to many cars with better performance it that price range now if i could get the gt hardtop for 21k then hell yeah but 31k is just to much for this car

I'm 6'5 and can just barley fit. But it doesn't matter. First car and a damn funny one I have to say. You just have to love it.
Great review! One of the best reviewers by far on youtube, and all the info was pertinent without any comedy or acting fluff. Great job!
This thing was the best selling sports car in history.
Love my MX-5
I love my Mx-5, so fun to drive and so good looking :)
