- Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell on how he got the role of Jesus of CopyMat on Cameron Crowe's 1996 film 'Jerry Maguire', in which he acted in a brief cameo opposite Tom Cruise. The scene was shot at a Kinko's on Sunset Boulevard in March 1996. Jerry Maguire was released in theaters on December 13, 1996. Holy Shit. That was Jerry! I had no fucking idea. This was just around the time that the internet was taking off so not everybody had it. Ihad internet back then but the net was NOTHING like it is today. We had message boards and the place to game was called MSN Gaming Zone. No youtube, no Facehell, no MySpace. None of that shit. You were lucky if you could stay on more than an hour as it was billed hourly back then. Only in 96 or later did we see unlimited.
