Hold all parties to account for their manifesto pledges.

As a constituent, I never understood how such a shallow person came to be selected by the local Tories to stand for election. A sorry old affair in the British political scene lately, when a former minister apparently tried to hold the PM to ransom for a knighthood and then resigned in high dudgeon at not getting one. Not great, wherever your political loyalties lie.
I suppose this sort of thing gets lost amid the merry-go-round of political failures, but its quite incredible that a UK politician has effectively refused to work and still taken a salary, whilst supposed to have been representing her constituents. And, she feels quite empowered to slander and harass journalists she doesn't agree with (maybe the BBC would have fired journalists based on this type of attack given how it is run). It shows just how fragile our democracy is.

As a constituent, I never understood how such a shallow person came to be selected by the local Tories to stand for election. Her later appearance on "I'm a Celebrity" seemed typical of a woman living miles from the constituency who hankered after fame, fortune and glamour. Politics was a means to an end. In the process she added to its woes and disrepute.
As for the House of Lords, her reaction has been "I'm a celebrity get me in there!".

A sorry old affair in the British political scene lately, when a former minister apparently tried to hold the PM to ransom for a knighthood and then resigned in high dudgeon at not getting one. Not great, wherever your political loyalties lie.
She's Britain's answer to MTG in America.
I suppose this sort of thing gets lost amid the merry-go-round of political failures, but its quite incredible that a UK politician has effectively refused to work and still taken a salary, whilst supposed to have been representing her constituents. And, she feels quite empowered to slander and harass journalists she doesn't agree with (maybe the BBC would have fired journalists based on this type of attack given how it is run). It shows just how fragile our democracy is.
I thought this morning that when they said about this in brain that now we had an explanation for Dorries, Rabb and Truss.
