Fun fact: early (pre-2007) models of the SD70ACe had poor cab isolation, so the cab was super loud and shaky as hell. Most railroads, including BNSF, banned them from leading. Ironically, Dovetail said they "couldn't get reference material" for the post-2006 models with improved isolation it's literally just a black line going down the side of the cab and just behind the nose, it's easy to see in pictures), so now you get to break railroad laws by driving locomotives that should not be allowed to lead! Too bad Dovetail didn't simulate the 9.0-magnitude shaking and the loudness of the thundercabs lol.

Is there a difference from the ace and Mac?

    • @everettrailfan
      @everettrailfan 7 месяцев назад

@@phannyphanny9053 Big difference, the MAC has the older style comfort cab (hence the M in MAC) and the ACe has a unique cab subsequently reused on the SD80 and SD90 (which both failed) and the ACe-T4 with some modifications.

One thing to know is that the ES 44 AC engines will have wheel slip more than the AC 70's in the game. I've had a SD 70 on the front and a GE behind and the wheel slip light was on in that unit on the screen even though it wasn't in my lead unit. I wish they had the wheel slip light come on if any unit in the consist is having wheel slip. It shouldn't be that hard to add the feature in the game and make it more realistic.

I really love your train videos, it’s obvious you put a lot of time into producing them. My only suggestion, at least for your North American train videos, is to update your terminology. The whole train, called the “Train,” is everything from the front to the back. Each individual unit that provides power to move the train is a “Locomotive,” not a “train” as you refer to them when explaining how they are different at the beginning of the video. As for non-US trains, they have different names for things that I don’t understand or know. They may refer to locomotives as trains for all I know. I know they call engineers (what we in the US refer to the people who sit on the right side and operate the controls) drivers, which may be more descriptive.
Feel free to ignore the rankings of an old rail fan (me), but keep producing these videos. They are very entertaining.

    • @BluGames

This is helpful. I read the whole thing. I SHOULD know all the terms lol but sometimes i forget in the moment. And it very confusing between US & EU whats called what but thanks alot

    Good morning.
I am French, I live in France in the mountains in the Pyrenees but a very big fan of US trains.
    Brief.
I have all the US DLCs on TSW3 except 3 routes:
    -Sherman Hill
    -Horseshoe Curve
    -Cane Creek
Since it's the steam sales right now in France, I'd like to take one of the three routes I'm missing.
I hesitate in the Sherman hill and the Horseshoe Curve. (the Cane Creek is too short I find and in 1 lane so no train crossing suddenly it interests me much less)
Between the Sherman and the Horseshoe which one do you prefer between the two?
I specify that I already have these two roads on TSclassic and that I like them both but as on TSW3 it is not at all the same thing, an opinion is always good to take especially when it comes from an enthusiast like You .
