I just had 5 Super Ships in my game as a T9 including a Super-CV. Going back to Tier 2. No CV, no Super-Ships, no Subs....
Me and my friend had a bad time in t10, so we went back to t3 and t2 and got 3 and 4 kills respectively, most fun we've had in awhile lol
But actual literal bots ramming each other
No battleship too
That Slava clip... wasn't sure if i had to laugh or cry.
As for the Wooster, I'm still grinding stock hull and range Seattle. Also using reload mod through silver ranked. Works better than some might think.

Myself, I just cried. Fuck subs, fuck CVs and fuck weegee for ever creating them.
That Slava Clip is over half my games in a Battleship.

Had my first proper sub"interaction" today, spawned middle together with a fantasque that went straight into the nearest collection of enemy ships. Before I could catch up to my nearest flank the sub came through and started to do his thing. You would think a Thunderers ruddershift would give you a good shot at conserving dcp until its really needed, but keeping up with the subs torp spam turned out to be almost impossible.
Tried to shoot him based on his ping, but at over 10km distance pipointing the exact origin of the ping was a fools errant. Unable to hurt him as he was outside of planerange and unable to run away I spent the entire rest of the match twisting and turning, deperately trying to mitigate the subs damage and maybe find some way out. It was eerily similar to being the favorite target of the enemy cv for an entire match except without outside help from someone else I was entirely powerless to fight/counter the sub, nor was I getting anything else done. I dont know how long this all took, but eventually the enemy broke through where my stupid fantasque died, unable to turn freely my suffering finally ended.
I cant believe I am saying this, but I would rather play 5 matches against a Nakhimov than 1 match like this. At least I would get some pitty-xp for downed planes. I also live on my ceiling now, since this match drove me up the wall, made me want to tear out my hair and made one thing very clear: Extreme frustration has to be intentional in the way wg designed both CV- and subs interaction with surrface ships, there is no other way this shit could go through playtesting and make it into the game like this.
You play a game to have fun and RELAX, to let out the steam accumulated in a hard week of working / study ( for the youngsters); This is the reason a SANE, normal human being use.
But the enter a game only to get your tension skyrocketing, to reach hysterical levels of frustration, and even more, to be such an idiot to PAY the muppets in wows dev team for that .... well, that is really the dumbest thing one can do.

Besides being a really good player, this cat is good with the tech, but IMHO, he’s a great communicator. I wish I had seen videos like this and some of the MalteseKnight when I first started playing
I went through 7 straight losses on saturday, several times topping the loosing team ... sadly if im your best player the team is screwed.

That Slava clip was just sad. Also, I'm quite sure that the special torpedo squadron from the United States can dev strike Des Moines, which is kinda pepega.
I play DM a lot but it honestly feels masochistic at this point
I saw strikes of 21 k dam in first min against a poor Yamato from this FDR carrier. The poor gay in Yamato last some 5 min, and 3 strikes only. Last one he was flooding badly and the cv let him die.
Wooster was my first T10, and I still love it to bits. I'm a CL main so I guess that makes sense. I do take IFHE because I like to rely more on the HE damage than on fires. With that Republic it would have made a difference, but I guess the reverse can also happen.
I always take the noob skills 'cause I am basically still a noob. I need training wheels, I just do no have the situational awareness to do without. I also equip the secondary/AA mod in slot 6 to beef up AA even more, and it does make a difference. Wooster is still scary for most CV's, and like that a lot. Wooster also does not need to choose between DFAA and Hydro, she gets both. Pretty awesome.
Believe me, I was the sole focus of Tier X subs in a few games when I was in a BB and I died quickly in all these games. No fun at all.

Worchester has plane ASW because it didn't have ship based ASW in real life. Ships like Jinan has ship based ASW because its design (CL-154) had it even though it was never built.
Another enjoyable video PQ! Wooster can definitely be fun to play. For me, battles where I get focused by a combo of a sub, dd and CV means a very short game. You're always spotted, and have no way to return fire or get unspotted (unless running a ship with smoke). Seeing that a lot more in games lately. The Wooster battle PQ shows obviously has no CV, which IMO could have a big influence on the outcome.
I had such a similar experience yesterday as well (except I feel too dirty to play subs/CV's for anything other than easy naval battle points). I think I was deciding just to quit playing WOWS for a while. Maybe I should go try my Worcester!! Always great stuff from you PQ!
The crack that was smoked during brainstorming the new supercvs must have been top notch. Even CCs who like to keep a more positive stance on carriers have called them what they are: Ridiculous. And that was after they tried them with the disclaimer they are not a great carrier player and when a noob can get easy 170k, something feels very off.
The greatest joke I have seen were carrier players whining about their terrible concealment. Carriers complaining about being spotted all the time, that will never fail to crack me up. Of course wg buffed the concealment of Supercarriers immediately.(not a joke, its in the dev blog)
Now after my petulent complaint, something nice: Great video, getting some humorous editing in there was a good move. Feels nice to have a laugh at our misfortune, the only copingmechanism I still have. Also, everyone should play subs regularly, because good sleep is healthy for mind and body!

@@timbergmann3372 historically carries were good because they could outrange the bbs, i a game where surface battles are given an emphasis I don't prefer to have mosquitos flying around my bb.

For you, it is the Worcester, for me it's the San Diego. Same reason.
It's a pain to play all these ships against CVs, superships and subs and then I found the San Diego (by the time you published this video, it wasn't released, I think). It's a ship, if you look at the Bleuprint and stats, that means nothing. But, right driven, using cover and steering mods (for open water), it is really really fun to play. Especially because it's T8 (no super-ships), has very good AA (for T8 and can defeat even T10 CVs) and Airstrikes and a very good mobility, so its very very good at hunting DDs and Subs, w/o having much problems dodging torps.
So after all, really really fun to play w/o the frustration of CVs, super-ships, subs, DDs and Torps and HE spam (easy dodgeable).
Well, it's not a uber ship, dealing tons of damage, but hey, it's fun and I even get my Unicum winrate with it... so yeah, I love it.
Aaaaaand this is why I play mostly dds in my own stream nowadays. Super nice wooster game though.
As long as your CL comes with antisub planes instead of depth charges you have some deterrence and very limited counterplay against them. Hopefully WG revisits the balancing side of things after they're done with the initial milking of the playerbase.

I still love my Team Shark camo for her, wish wargaming still let you grind good permanent camo's for the new lines Tier x's if you're dedicated enough like they used to.
Pq have you done a video on the lighthouse build for the Worcester? I found the one for Des Moines. Just curious on your take of it. I had it on mine before I reset the line and it was sweet for a couple games but had problems getting good positions. Thanks.
To be honest in Wee Gee style...there was 1 torpedo bomber plane with 2 torps which deal 13k dmg and 4-5 k hp
So to "balance things" they split the plane into two BUT THEY KEPT THE DMG OF THE TORPS AND ADDED ADDITIONAL TWO TORPS which basically instead of a nerf...they buffed the dmg much much more
I Had the same experience yesterday. Eagles and subs. I tried shlieffen one game and lost 1/3 of my hps from a single rocket attack from the eagle, not even counting the 2 fires that this single salvo did.
Which added fast to the damages.... I swittched to tanks after...
It seems like the problem iss the carriers. The subs may be boring, but they r not op, Atlest according to me.

@@johnbenoy7532 well, then you might pay attention to where your team ist and don't give the carrier the opportunity to punish you. Cause if you stay together you can pretty much decimate his squadrons. I mean...what did you expect? To be invulnerable against air? You're not invulnerable against torpedoes as well, are you?
@@timbergmann3372 no. I am not, but I don't rely on teammates. Do u watch another youtuber called mighty jingles? He specialises on replayes where your teammates throw games that look like 100% winns.
And it's hard to stuck to your team when 7 of your ships rush cap a to form a Leming train while leaving cap c totally undefined except me and my squad mate
I was expecting your Slava to suffer a detonation in that opening game.
Either lose for free or get tortured by the carrier is my mantra for the patch I suppose.

Legit question, Ya EVER use your AP shells in light cruisers? like do opportunities to use them ever come up? (probably rarely) I love burning down World of Warships as much as the next guy but those Citadel hits are always nice to get.

Same here. I got my s**t straight a year ago and uninstalled permanently. All the frustration gone and a lot of time to do tiings that are ACTUALLY fun instead of playing a game and hoping next match will be somewhat fun... Wy torture myself like that? That was the question I asked myself that made me get my s**t straight :)
I've been debating taking off IFHE on my Worcester. It's hard to tell if the more consistent shell damage is better than getting more fires or not. Also, BBs can heal through most fire damage. This was a monster game though.

Regrinding USN BBs, I got 4 games in a row (3 in the NoCal, 1 in the Iowa) when some scrub sub captain teleported through the caps to shotgun me from point-blank range.

Ah yes, one day i played my worcester and it turned out to be my last game ever.
I watched the enemy Worcester get bitchslapped by the friendly CV, so i wrote in all-chat "really glad to have some of the best AA at T10" so the enemy FDR wrote back "let''s see"and it took him 2 squadrons to kill me from full health. Uninstalled the game then and there, like 2 years ago

I don't know if I'm getting worse at the game... But I've been having these games with little dmg both losing and winning sides and ending at top score. Feels weird.

Laughing as I played my Slava last night as I was mercilessly hunted and killed by a sub, getting virtually no damage in the game. I then played my Worcester which is rigged for pure anti-air. It ripped up two flights of enemy planes before the carrier outright avoided me. So pleasing...
Subs and superships was a big mistakes. Hope they don't make them permanent. CV was also a mistake in general, but they won't fix that.
I liked superships when they were just those 2 battleships. They were just extra dmg farm pinatas, but by expanding on this idea everything went out of hand.
Ehh idk about subs. I like ther relaxing/boring playstyle. Whn I want s bit of action is just jump in my gk, shlieffien(spelling) slava, or an akazuki.

I got bombed and torped literally right at the start with four tier 8 Carriers in game in a North Carolina lost 50% health and guys on my team are saying “ hey Carolina are you having fun yet” I said “ yes, I love the CV’s they are the best” I am a fairly new player and I have more fun at the lower tier games not getting swarmed by planes and dodging Sub Torps all game. Most of my damage in higher tier games is from CV’s and Subs.

you didn't have a bad day. you had bad team mates who don't understand the game. and don't understand that you have to protect the battleships because they do the damage...
2nd game..... PERFECT EXAMPLE of how it should be done. play together. someone spots. you shoot. help him. very nice gameplay. but it proves my point. teamwork is only way to win.
WG's Statement today that it will not own or operate any businesses in Russia and/or Belarus might explain some of the rushed decisions over the last few months in regards to superships and subs. I am not sure what the future holds for WOWS but its evident they need to make some serious changes to game play mechanics, like the over reliance on damage con, if they want to keep introducing classes/ships that's main source of damage is DOT's. Some of this games largest streamers are putting this game down in favour of new experience and whilst that's natural as a game ages, I don't think it is normal that these people are leaving the game frustrated. Its a pretty low point for any game where it can make even the most salt hardened vets alt f4. And for me? I struggle to play one or two games and then its back to the desktop, there is no new interesting maps or campaigns just increasingly powerful ships that punish trying to play the objective in any meaningful way. If WG's goal was to make people want to cower in fear of an endless barrage of pings, cv strikes and torpedo spam then they certainly have achieved it. No one wants to be the one in no-mans land and these days it seems that area is edging further and further towards spawn. Whilst the wooster is "If you cant beat them, join them", Its only a matter of time until this ship suffers the same as all the others. Its a shame what they could have done with this game.
The other day I was playing Stalin, I did the perfect Ambush, and then an FDR appeared with torps, I was unable to dodge due to the situation, I lost 50% of my HP 1 drop. I quit this game twice already, and I want to quit it again just because of #!@#! CVs being way too broken for so long and they wont fix it.

I'm trying to grind URSS battleships and really like it but 1/2 match I'm juste like you in the slava, farmed by subs and CV without the possibilité to do something then I switch to my kleber and I'm being shotgun by subs also ... I really beging to understand the hate.
I mean each class is generaly good against another class, but subs are OP against most of them and no class has the ability to counter them efficiently.
Did they buff the United States damage?
WG added +1 plane to its special strike squadrons at the beginning of March.

The USS United States was one of the original 6 frigates and comes from the Revolutionary War. It has the same pedigree as Enterprise and Constitution.
Community should agree to quite battles whenever there is a sub in-match for the next month to send a message.
A better solution is to have a strike for a day or two no players log in
Per team, 2 subs, 4 dds plus a cv. Oh how fun
i think that because the worcester is best tech tree ship for countering cvs and subs id bet that wg removes it next

I've been playing wow for quite a while now. Seeing you laugh when the CV half killed you in 1 drop made me feel like an asshole...i would have totally freaked out over that, because it's BS....and subs just need to go away

You really don’t have much of a choice on a BB, either you stay on the AA bubble of your team or risk being singled out.
Just like in real life, the tactics of holding the line are being enforced hard. Which can be considered a bad or good thing depending on who you ask
then you rely on your team to not be absolute potatoes and position themselves properly. Even in ranked in 5 v 5, sometimes, you just don't want to go where your teammates are going because you'd be 75-80% useless in battle

Quitting and uninstalling World of Warships was the best decision I made in 2022. Wargaming just completely murdered it.
he does 50% with one torp drop and then takes another 13 minutes to kill you. it says it all about cv players.
Sadly your experience of the games prior to the Worcester game, is getting more and more common. I've watched 2 streamers, experienced veterans of wows "rage" quit with subs ending Battleship trivially in the last few days. I find myself questioning the time I give to this great game so poorly implemented.

The super cvs made this game the most toxic piece of shit ever...
Subs compound the issue because you cannot dodge.. AT ALL.
Either you take hits from the cv, or you get pinged nonstop by subs.
To resume: landlsides are becoming more and more common.
The "matchmaker" is trash as it keeps putting unicums in one side and even loopsided teams (like having a triple petro division and they add a stalingrad on top, against other ships)..etc..etc..

Slava part made me cry as a BB main. Stupid mechanics by WG as usual.
These supercarriers can do 40-45k in a single torpedo drop from 350-400 kts jest planes. They drop before your AA reacts and with that kind of speed they can just circle around you to get a good angle. If you exclude torpedo protection on battleships - these torps have well over 50k potential in single drop - enough to dev strike a cruiser.

I tried out the United States yesterday. I did 38k dmg with my torps to a FdG and was so disgusted with myself. It feels so unrewarding and just game ruining. Way too overpowered
I don't know how you can nap in a submarine. I find these games very frustrating and extremely expensive to play. Most of the time my teammates snatch a kill or push me away from a superior position or block my ping etc. It is as if I have to fight my own teammates in addition to the sometimes odd mechanics and the enemy players. Even in Coop it is worse - as if my teammates hate me, even if I dive to make space for them. I find it utterly frustrating and I say that after I welcomed these subs early on, even if it was (and is) difficult to see what angle an enemy sub has under water ...
Do you have any tips you can share on submarines in WoWs ? I think I don't get the playstyle anymore.

Slave cannot dodge torpedoes , too long turn radius and sloe rudder. Any torp bomber is just free farm. The allied CV should put fighter. They never do!

Ok nah, that Slava clip is more than enough for me to say, NERF or remove CVs, Im tired of seeing this excuse for post-rework cvs not needing to be removed, sure RTS had its strengths but the very problem is this. OP cvs, regardless of what update. They always had this strength in damage. It’s insane…

This game is as close to unplayable, as it can be.. usually i don't tage quit, but i am on a daily basis now..
Getting really tired of all the OP torpedo spam, homming torpedo are completely ridiculous as is the OP higher level CV planes, especially for BBs. Rarely play anymore and definitely stopped spending any money on this game. Sad times for WOWs
