- Thankyou to all the Romani peoples for the most beautiful song ever sung. Sao Rroma!
Ederlezi is a festival celebrating the coming of spring, & therefore also surviving the winter. Trad. Romany in origin. Arranged for chorus & orchestra by Gurt Lush Arrangements.
This is the final (7th) track of 'Romany Journey, Suite for Choir & Orchestra'.
Live premiere at the Colston Hall. 6th July 2013.

So comforting to hear all these voices united in one heart... and funny to see how the song releases itself from all musical conventions and goes on flying freely. The Romani spirit of freedom and courage, a magical song !

Impossible song for British amateur choirs! Of course there are better, authentic Roma versions .. but who wouldn't want to have a go at this great song....Fair play to the 'Gurt Lush Experience', and the good folk of Bristol!!! Best wishes from Ireland.

I feel this song is about the emotion behind the lyrics not just to sing it like blah, but great try - this could of been powerful with such a large choir.

Actually it is not song about spring. Song originated in a WWII by men in a wagon taking them to concentration camp to be killed. Most of people were Serbs and Rroma. It is threnody.

Everything doesn't need to be about Serbs. This is a Romani song that was popularized by Goran Bregovic and Emir Kusturica when they recorded their version for the movie "Dom za vješanje".

This is simply not good - waste of resources instruments musicians voices and time - final product is unrecognizable cacophony which pretend to be beautiful and simple Ederlezi - this song belongs to steppes to gypsies to open air to be sang near the fire where voices fly freely to the sky - no one have right to do this to such song
