I use this for my HOTAS, and from my experience, the desk clamp is fully adjustable for different desk thickness. You can lower the main bracket that holds the lever, and you can fine tune the clamp head with the bolt and nut to make sure it locks in place fully.
Remember that you can adjust the height of the clamping plate so that it can accommodate almost any desk. Also, if you loosen all the bolts on the two horizontal bars that the controller sits on, you can then slide those two bars back, under the controller, so you don't have those to bars sticking out.
I just got these tonight and got the first one assembled. I will be using them on my VKB Gladiator NXT and my thrustmaster TWCS throttle. It would have been nice if they had made the diameter of the height adjustment bolt larger, so there would be a larger surface for clamping to the bottom of the desk. I will probably add a bigger one. I am also going to add some thumb bolts for the joystick attachment so I can remove the joystick / hotas with a minimal of effort. I have a next level racing gt lite cockpit and I want to get the flight kit so I can use my games in VR while in the racing cockpit. But some games - like Star Citizen, are not VR compatible yet. So for that situation, I would rather use these on my desk - and when I am being lazy.
This video would have been more helpful if you showed this apparatus actually mounted on the desk. And show that early in the video, so the rest makes more sense. As it is, it's difficult to imagine what exactly this thing does. I mean, I guess it clamps on to the edge of the desk. And sticks out towards you some distance, and positions the controller in front of, and lower than, the desk surface? But then what is the purpose of that long piece that sticks out that you stuck an orange guard on the end of? If I'm imagining this correctly, that piece seems to protruded downward, block the region where your legs would be. But that doesn't make much sense, which throws doubt on whether or not I've understood this correctly.
That allows you to adjust the height (z axis) and the horizontal how far/close to you it can be set to. My apologies for not covering in greater detail for you
@@WhereNerdyisCool OK, here are some photos of what this mount looks like in position: forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/57689-for-those-interested-in-j-pein-upgraded-mount/ It looks like that vertical piece does protrude down where you would bump your legs against it, though alternatively you can position it higher so it sticks up above the desk? And I guess if it gets in the way, you can always cut it off.

The piece that clamp is attached to can slide up as high as you need. It’s held in place via two screw/tnuts. Check that assembly time lapse (or J Pein’s assembly video)

Hi, I was wondering if you can use this on the Thrustmaster warthog, or do you even screw them on the mount or are they just chilling there?
They have different plates that attach to the Warthog that are included. It’ll work. I love mine.
great short and sweet video! thanks !
Do they come with 2 mounts? Or do you have to buy them both individually?
Individual. So if you want to mount the throttle and stick, one for each.
Thanks!
