It would be good to edit out the Steve Corell comment! It not appropriate for your credibility and image. I really like your presentations and do purchase items from you. As a professional that is part of the responsibility I have to uphold for myself. Yes, we all make some mistakes, but recognizing those and eliminating any problems that comments may generate is a constant endeavor. Thank you for all you do for shops and excellent woodworking practices! 😎
You have earned my respect, and are now my favorite teacher on RUclips. And not just because of woodworking, you're just a decent human being and I appreciate it. My grandad always used to tell me it costs nothing to be a decent man. Thanks for all you do brother. I'm still very new into my woodworking journey but I love it so far and am learning a lot of things just from your channel, so you have my thanks! God bless.
Love the shop tour. I enjoy seeing what folks do with the space they have. I also appreciate what you are doing for those with disabilities. I wish I could send you some pictures of my work. I too have physical challenges. Seventeen years ago last weekend I busted my neck while surfing in California. I have regained enough ability to run my shop from a chair. All things considered, I do pretty well. I make everything from serving trays to bookcases.
Much respect for you Jonathan. Most woodworking channels’ videos are a barrage of plugs with project video sprinkled in-between. You are such a refreshing change from that format. You have purchased your own equipment with your own money, much of it used. When you recommend a product, I know you mean it. I’m happy for your success.
If I lived in California I'd totally apply! For those of you who are interested, Jonathan is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and has always been supportive of us. You probably couldn't ask for a better employer. Looking forward to seeing what's coming next for the Katz-Moses shop! Congrats Dovetail Jesus!
You're easily in the top 3 woodworking channels I frequent. Your success is well deserved. Keep doing what you're doing, in the way you're doing it. Thank you.
Awesome as usual Jonathan- I’m a Joiner making windows, doors and cabinetry- have followed you since 2018 and will continue to- All The Very Best to you- from AP - West Wales (UK)👍
Fantastic presentation.Very few people on RUclips keep their content free.I am a beginner hobbyist and find your channel very inspiring. Cheers from India 🇮🇳.
Congratulations on your success. Only great to see stories of people who have started out small and as they grow remain humble and thankful!! Always enjoy your videos and honesty!
I have been a longtime lurker/subscriber to your channel and I haven't had time to keep up over the past few years. It is awesome to see how well you are doing and how much your business/channel has exploded! I can't tell you how excited I am for you and congratulations to the hard work paying off. My father and I are about to embark on a pole barn build with the specific purpose of being a wood working shop. Alongside my late grandfather, you have been one of the biggest inspirations for getting this shop going. Thanks for what you do and keep up the awesome content! Edit: I just saw The Office reference and you now have a lifetime subscriber...
I love how humble you are and how much you value integrity and respecting people. You are an amazing person. I’m disabled myself and I’d love to see what that Woodworking with Disabilities is all about. Thank you for being an amazing human being and keep up the awesome work!
Me as a hobbyist specialty hand tools seeing this from other side of the world 🌎 🥺 and with your announcement made me wish I was in the US right now But but my sister already in California which made me sooo happy that maybe one day I can come to this amazing shop and even this awesome team ❤️ Even if no jobs being there in the shop with you guys will be enough Good luck from other part of the world 🙏💓🌎 bless u all
Thank you for the integrity you show in every video. I wish the company that I ordered a tool and other items in January and still haven't received anything yet had the same integrity.
I legitimately started laughing when you said you don’t hear me yelling about squarespace, nordvpn, or raid shadow legends. Every video, from woodworking to cooking to anything else, it’s one of those three.

Loved your flash back as I watch this while working in my 8x10 shed. My name is starting to get out locally 👍 so maybe one day i'll have a shop tour worth showing lol
Thanks for taking the time to post this video, Jonathan. I’m definitely looking forward to the future videos! I’ve been so impressed by the quality of the items I’ve purchased from you. From t-shirts to coffee mugs to saws, jigs, etc. I know when I order something from Katz-Moses, I’m going to get a quality, well-made thing. The flip-stop is awesome. I actually need to order a couple more of those for new jigs. ;). So glad to see a nice person, who deals honestly, doing so well. Thanks to your whole team!
Love this video didn't realize that your shop was so close to where I live. Nice to know where i can get hardwood now that trust worthy instead of ordering it online and hoping for the best.
As a 100% Disable Veteran with PTSD and Physical problems, I am excited to hear you mention that you are going to make woodworking accessible to folks who need it. Woodworking for me is an outlet, a sort of therapy, that I truly enjoy and thank God that I learned so much from my father before he passed away. Most of what I make I give away, but I may have to start selling some things to get a few more needed tools. Most of my shop is filled with tools ranging from the 1940's - 80's. I have my fathers Craftsman 10" contractors saw from the 60's that works amazing after I tuned it up (honestly, I learned how from a Stumpy Nubs video) and my Grand father's Craftsman Mohawk Drill press from 1943-ish that I restored and use. My hopeful next purchase is a DeWalt Planer like yours. It'll take a while but I'll get it. Any way, thank you for supporting those who need it. We need more men like you. P.S. I just wanted to thank you, I'm not asking for anything. Seriously, Thank you.
Big bro, I think you and the woodwhisper are the gurus of instructional woodworking videos. I learn a lot from every video and I dig your story. You're a solid guy big homie. Thanks for the content. Its helped me a lot yo.
very impressive shop I don't even have a workshop, I work outside my house. one day I will build one though, and I must say I have learned a lot from you so far.
2:12 I think I helped with that I still watch that video and send it to people usually on Instagram because it's really informative, perfect video about saw stops
I live in Bakersfield and have had 267bf of 6/4" Ash and i am finally after having the wood for two years this fall i am building Matt Eslea's big berth my self
Working for you guys would be fun. I even toyed with the idea for about 4 seconds....then you said its in California. I'm gonna have to bow out. There is nothing in this world that will ever get me to go back to Cali. Best of luck to you.
I’ve been a subscriber for a bit now and have looked to your content for inspiration and education. I’m looking forward to seeing your amazing business grow. Thanks!
Enjoyed the tour and so happy to hear you are growing your business! Wishing you all the best as you expand the business. Looking forward to the new merchandise/products you're developing!!!
Such an awesome video and so inspiring! Started in the garage and now a full blow operation creating jobs! I just want to say I love the content and the story behind each video. Then throw in the giving back….. you are good hearted man! Keep it up and I wish you the best of luck with expansion and growth!
great video, and congratulations on the new shop and growth. one of the best tips you offered is to buy higher priced machinery on the used market. be it auctions, local ads, etc. that's how I bought most of mine. generally woodworking people are happy to chat and sell their old stuff for decent prices.
Being part of your woodworking team would be a dream job and I would gladly give up my 14 years of railroading for it....if I wasn't two thirds of the country away. I love the channel, love the videos you put out and can't wait to see what you have planned for the next few months
That shop is fantastic!! I do CNC Programming for a living and i'm hoping to getting into doing it with woodworking in the future. Drooling over here!!!!
Just started our cnc based business early this year. Inspiring to see what you’ve done in a relatively short period of time. Give me hope about where we could be in a few years. Thanks man.
I recently tried my hand at woodworking and absolutely love it. I want to do this full-time but it's a bit difficult being someone kinda broke and without almost any experience. Would have been awesome if I could have interned with someone like you here in Bangalore, India. Learned so much from your videos. Good luck with the workshop. Looking forward to all your upcoming videos.
I've been doing the woodworking thang as a hobby since the 60s. In the late 90s I decided I would follow my goal of doing this for a living. I went to work for a custom woodworking shop. It nearly ruined my hobby. Doing it for a living and having to meet deadlines, dealing with customers that simply didn't understand the process was a real PIA. I finally quit and went back to my previous profession and netting a whole lot more $$$$$. It took me about 10 years to even want to pick up a piece of wood. I'm back at it, retired and back to loving my hobby.
Very cool, Jonathan~! I've been along for the ride since the beginning of your videos and it's been great seeing your growth as a woodworker and content provider. You're a great asset to the woodworking community~! I was stoked to hear about the guy you're helping out since my wife and I are Chattanoogans, however "displaced" by the Army and currently living in Augusta, GA (Fort Gordon). We travel back home often, so I'd love to hear more about what you have coming up. Don't know if it's going to be open to the public, but it would be great to meet you and shake your hand~!
Drat. My partner was living in Goleta and I was just looking for a design/fabrication job in the area, I used to teach 3D design could have been a good fit. She took a job in nyc... Oh well. Hope you find some good workers.
Fantastic, Jonathan! I'm really happy for you! 😃 My workspace is coming along, I don't have much expensive stuff to buy anymore, so... As soon as I can I'm going to buy some of your stuff. 😃 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
My wife and I love Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara area. We are in Fresno, but make the trip down there at least once a year. We should meet up at Cold Springs Tavern sometime.
Great vid! You went from a garage to 5000 sq feet? You are one helluva entrepreneur! Also, thanks for naming those two hardwood sellers. Mayan has a yard in Paso Robles and Aura in SLO will now be on my visit list…..I’m always on the hunt for a good hardwood supplier.
Santa Barbara is a great location for creativity: Nice balance of Romantic Central Coast beauty combined with personable Southern California. However, Santa Barbara is Expensive place for commercial property, I would imagine.
great vid mate, and so nice to see someone not only growing as a business, but also giving back to the community...good luck with whatever you plan in the future :)
Glad to see the business is growing and doing well. Always looking forward to what your doing. Great to see the disabilities program doing well. Keep up the great positivity you promote. I bet it’s doing more than you or anyone realizes. 👍👊💪 Can’t wait to see the new products
It's opportunities like this that actually make me think.. yeah, I'd live in America, lol! You rock guts and gals! The whole team, absolutely incredible, ya'll keep up the great work. Please!!
I live a short distance from you in baketsfield, it would be cool to be able to stop by some time and see the shop up close. Love watching the videos and learning new things
Jonathan, Love the shop. Hope you will have a great trip out to Apex, NC which is my neck of the woods. I live in Raleigh. If you need some watering hole suggestions let me know!
Jonathon - you obviously also need a product tester - so I'd be happy to take delivery of all your new products and test them for you. I may have to shuffle a few appointments, but I can pretty much start straight away.
I would absolutely love to work with you and your team however I’m on the other side of the country in Vermont. I don’t think my wife would be to keen on the idea of picking up and moving across the country with our 5 year old daughter and animals especially where our families live right in the area that we are in. Great to see your shop and the production of your business. Glad to hear that your business is doing so well. I love your videos, especially where you don’t go on about sponsor stuff that isn’t even related to woodworking, and I find that I often learn something new.
The Jet really did make your thumb nice and square. You should make some inlays with teh 3D printer or even more functional things like some sort of small setup tools. Could be neat.
If i was in this country, id totally work here for free. I dont know what other people think but to me this place is an institution. Haven't started my wood working journey yet cause im a trainee pilot and i have no idea how to stop this and start that. Lol
Hey, I have an idea for your shop offerings. Use your 3D printer to make a bearing ram block for installing spiral cutter heads in planers. I installed a Lux head and didn’t have a large enough socket to set the bearing. So I chucked up a piece of oak and turned a 1.7” cylinder with a 7/8” bore in the center. I was able to pound the bearing into place. The supplier of the cutter head didn’t supply instructions! A kit for installing a carbide cutter head would be awesome, and would contain a bearing ram block and quality snap ring pliers, that are crucial. What do you think?

Santa Barbara is a great location for creativity: Nice balance of Romantic Central Coast beauty combined with personable Southern California. However, Santa Barbara is Expensive place for commercial property, I would imagine.
great vid mate, and so nice to see someone not only growing as a business, but also giving back to the community...good luck with whatever you plan in the future :)
Your content has really helped me as a new woodworker. Happy for you Jon! FYI just picked up my apron and dovetail jig 🤘
Awesome my friend! Thank you!
One of the reason I follow you is that you are not yapping about this or that plus you are an awesome dude.
Very impressive set up!
Great tour
Keep up your great work 👍
Glad to see the business is growing and doing well.
Please!!
Guys.. haha, although I do sport and love a Lil ponch! Hahaha, can't wait to pick up some merch and support🙌🤘👏
I live a short distance from you in baketsfield, it would be cool to be able to stop by some time and see the shop up close. Love watching the videos and learning new things
We're definitely planning an event for the fall. You should definitely come by when we do. Cheers!
Sir, I was waiting on that's what she said and you didn't disappoint.
You're hired!
Nice D&D call-out :D
Just subscribed heard about your channel on 731 woodworks, awesome shop ! Definitely big dreams for me.
Wow that's a beautiful shop. It's tool heaven in there. 👍
