I'm blown away man. Years ago you and I were in similar places, just dudes in garages with a hobby. Now you've grown it into a monster of a business and you're just getting started. I wish I had the business sense that you have. You're an inspiration to me brother. I've loved watching you grow to where you are and I can't wait to see where you're going.
You could do a pretty simple and conveyor to carry out the dust chips. A slow, turning corkscrew, or chain paddle or something like that. It would be something similar to what is used at a sawmill
Well you got a new subscriber here. Solid video. I’ve been woodworking for about 7 years steadily. Just made this RUclips and working on learning how to edit (because I know nothing) so I can start pushing out content of my hobby.
Man awesome shop tour video Mike. Seems like not long ago it was just a hobby for you and now you’ve turned in into a huge business. It’s been very cool to watch you grow your business. Keep up the awesome work. I’m getting into the process of reorganizing and adding a few things in my garage shop so this video was really awesome to watch and get some good ideas from, as a beginner woodworker I wasn’t thinking about shop flow so that is going to be something I make sure to incorporate when reorganizing and setting up.
I'm digging the shop! Always nice to see other peoples' setups to help improve mine. Of course after thinking that I watched you go into your second and then third building ha ha! Anyway, shop goals!
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds Oh, that's interesting. Is that because it messes up your workflow? I suppose transporting some projects between buildings can present problems too. Especially during bad weather.
Pretty dang cool to see your evolution. Glad I got to hang in your original garage shop for a bit and I hope I can check out the new compound one of these days. Congrats!
Great shop tour and great video Mike! I thought I had already commented, but must have not hit the button, lol. Anyways, really like how you think about and execute on your work flow. I know that future big building will help you with that. Looking forward to seeing you and your business growing. Definitely doing some great stuff buddy! Keep it up.
This is so incredibly inspiring. You have made me reconsider my spaces and how to keep things more functional and organized. I just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to more videos!
Can you share a link or description for the digital measurement scale on your planer? It looks like an aftermarket addition. I'd love to have one on mine.
Enjoying the video. Have you had good luck with the ceramic guides on your Laguna bandsaws? I just replaced mine with Carter guides because I kept having issues with the Laguna guides. I’m not sure if it was just my machine, user error, or maybe just something in the design or some combination of the three.
Great setup, you get a lot done in that space!! Can you give me the square foot breakdown between the dedicated woodworking shop and the auxiliary (new shop)? 🎯
I wonder if you would consider opening up your off cut pile to local woodworkers and guy is looking to do small projects. Either charge a small fee or just limit it to what a guy can carry in one trip or something.
Hi Mike, you were linked by DimensionWoodworks, in reference to your hvlp turbine cart. I've searched your YT vids and IG posts, cannot find anything on it. Can you refer/link me to any content re your cart? I saw your turbine on the shelf in your paint room, so I wonder if it was an old now removed video? Thanks, and great channel, glad I found you, now subscribed.
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds It's a good problem to have, though. The opposite would make us all cry! When time permits, I think you need like a 40 x 40 shop. Tie the first two shops together into one massive building at the least. Do you have a dedicated office space in either place? I didn't see it... probably not then. Being too busy is every workman's dream, but a lack of organization drives us all nuts at the same time. It's a catch 22. But I think you'll figure it out.
If I had a shop like yours, I could make a shop tour like yours too!
😂😂 you got me there buddy
LOL Exactly!

Thanks Jake! We are going to try a bunch of stuff and see what sticks.
Love seeing this new shop !! It’s amazing
Thanks dude. Working in the next shop now 😂

Great shop tour Mike! Love the feel of the video with having a camera man fluently following you versus a static camera on a tripod.
Yeah it's a huge improvement with Peter running the camera and edit.
Nice job, the production quality on this was really nice. Looking forward to all the new content!
Thank you! All credit goes to my cinematographer. He's a wizard.

Multiple buildings is the thing I like the least about my set up. I am hoping to start on one very large building this year.
