Absolutely incredible Dad! A one of a kind FEAST!!!!! I have so many wonderful memories growing up in your workshop. Not that I made anything, it was just such a cool place to hang out. The smell of sawdust, glittered all over your jersey is one that will be imprinted in my mind forever. This workshop is just missing the wagtail at the window. Love you. ❤️

I am overwhelmed by the accumulation of skills that this impressive shop represents. You have explored many areas that I have only seen or read about. I agree with you that there are many fascinating technologies to explore and feel that time is the primary limiting factor. You have shown everyone what is possible with patience. Inspiring !!
That is a wonderful workshop, and makers space, I don't have quite that amount of tools yet, but I am working on it, and I also don't think I would go down the CNC mill and lathe, but I do have a Co2 laser and 3D printer :) and I also feel if you are retired that you now have about 25 years on me, so I have a little time to catch up :)
It’s so comforting to know that I’m not the only one who has always wanted to have the ability to do woodworking, metal fabrication, machine shop tasks, etc! I’ve had that dream since high school, and in the past 2 years I’ve added the finishing touches (is there such a thing?) to my dream! I retired in 2020 after a 41 year career as a certified welder for a railroad, and it’s allowed me plenty of time to get things “just right”! The one area that we differ on is that I have always wanted the woodworking activities to be distant from the welding/fabrication/scrollwork activities! My woodshop and machine shop are in the basement, while my “sparky” endeavors are in part of my garage. At an early age, my son referred to our shop as “Sparks & Splinters Workshop”, and the name lives on today! Congrats on an excellent facility!
