- Actor Bruce Campbell gave a panel at LA Comic Con 2021 to answer fan questions and talk about his career.
Bruce Campbell is a much beloved actor with an incredible number of credits to his name, including The Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, Burn Notice, Ash vs Evil Dead, Spider-man 1-3, The Replacements, Jack of All Trades, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., plus voice work in Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure and The Last Kids on Earth. He has recently finished work on the Ash vs Evil Dead video game.

Bruce is such an amazing actor, he is awesome as Ash Williams and to hear he's retired as him hurts, because nobody can fit their hand in Ash's chainsaw other than Bruce Campbell, so for him to carry on being a producer for evil dead and more evil dead movies to come, they can still continue Ash's legacy with his Daughter Brandy playing the role as the new hero and possibly have Bruce show up as Ash if he chooses too because it would make us all happy if Bruce continues to be Ash

Most of us don't realize how incredibly exhausting this would be.
I like that Ash is a finished chapter - there is nothing to mess it up. Nobody is resurrecting him in 20 years because Bruce is just done with it.

I think ash being retired is the perfect conclusion I feel bad I literally bought all three seasons on Vudu but hey the evil dead 2023 and now hearing Bruce being too old for the role seem sad but I think him joining Sam raimi with directing is fitting he clearly doin a good job
