Robert Englund is the only Freddy there will ever be
Jackie Earle Haley tried to do the role but let's face it he's sucked as Freddy
@@josephmendoza9523 - I actually enjoyed Haley's version of Freddy (obviously not as much as Englund's).
I liked that they didn't try to repeat the previous Freddy who took joy in terrorising his prey and, instead, took a different path (in this case, an angry Freddy. A serious, vengeful Freddy).
@@josephmendoza9523 Fr people who prefer the remake are weird. Originals always win
@@RictusHolloweye yeah I think Haley did quite a good job with what he was GIVEN but thats the key word. The script for that movie just plain sucked. And yes I'm aware there's never going to be another Robert England
@@RictusHolloweye yeah but Freddy is based off Robert... that's the problem ! Micheal Myers no problem . Jason no problem . leather face no problem. The face has to look like his! Because that's what Freddy looks like!!! Freddy must play with his food. Everything else optional. He's gotta have a gritty horrific voice. Not a low tone pervert voice like Haley lol yooou reaaaallly shouldn't sleep in claaaaasss 😂😂😂😂
Depp should show for one of these. Films like this are what got him started.
Probably super low chances
Depp said he was would have been in Wes Craven's New Nightmare if Wes asked him. But Wes was too intimidated to do so because he became a big star and thought he would have said no.
Even when Robert Englund talks normal, you still can hear the Freddy voice... I love that. He will always be the one and only real Freddy Krueger!!
The "A Nightmare on Elmstreet" movies are one of the best Horror movies ever made, i watch the movies a thousand times. And tbh because of Freddy Krueger i was afraid to sleep when i was a kid, always scared to dream of him lol.
It has always Mr. Englund's eyes that get me. Anytime he's in an interview, I see Freddy's eyes. I grew up with the Nightmare movies, and on occasion to this day, I still dream of him nearly forty years later.
Heather langenkamp still beautiful to this day my all time favorite final girl and so is sidney
Always been a hottie in my book!!
@@djaftermath4313 she still is even if she older
She used to be 🔥 now she’s 😬
She still is to this day
I've been wanting Robert England ever since he started and played Freddy Krueger about him that the characters get good sign and actresses and now the characters they were gray and he was good because he was appointed first because I really do like them and say this much my niece my niece Katie cannot wait to meet you wherever English okay Somaya K because you know it's going really rough for me too because I really do like you a lot and you are the best person no matter what I just say to you God bless you
Robert is perfect. Funny. Witty. Intelligent. Worldy. Charismatic. Appreciate him while hes still here because hes amazing
I loved Nancy Thompson because she actually turned the tables on that monster with dignity and stoicism. A strong female character I became sentimentally attached to.
I feel fondness thinking of the original film thanks to her.
Nancy is one of the all time best leads in horror
I met Heather LangenKamp last month in ORLANDO. She is very sweet and funny. She signed my Freddy gloves and chatted with me. I got her to say Screw Your Pass. She also called me gorgeous 😍. Made my day.
Wow she really said that? Really 😎 cool! That's certainly one of those once in a lifetime moments
Did you see the "Truth or Dare" movie from a few years ago? She's in only one scene but she does the scene like only Heather could do it! I recommend that one if you haven't seen it yet. It's not easy to miss her
Sounds like a nice person.
Well you not bad
These people are my childhood. Amanda Wyss is iconic as Freddy’s first kill and it’s amazing how me and her now have a casual Twitter back and forth. My childhood self could never have imagined! So gracious.
And?
Brooke Bundy ( Kristen's Mom ) puts a smile on my face when I get to hear her talk at one of these conventions. What a fine lady to have an appreciation and admiration for the genre
Interestingly enough her & Pricsilla Pointer ( The head nurse in dream warriors ) both have daughters who have appeared in genre films of the time. Amy Irving from Carrie & Tiffany Helm from Friday the 13th part V.
The 2010 remake was a crime against humanity.
Right? It was just depressing from the get go
I've been watching nightmare on elm street since the beginning and still go back and watch them.always sharing them.
Me to.
Me too, I was four when the first one came out and I dressed as Freddy for Halloween that year. My dad took me to a Freddy themed Halloween attraction that was supposed to be Freddys place there was two tiny snakes suspended in the air in cages on either side of this huge fireplace with this huge menacing picture of a smiling Freddy on the mantle I don't remember anything else about that place but I remember that room vividly as if I was still standing there the wooshing noises of the fire that being the only light in the darkened room I wasn't scared but facinated by it all.
I was 5 years old when I saw the original elm Street in 1984 and I can remember after watching if I would wake up at night like to go to the bathroom, I was always wondering if I was really awake, almost too scared to go. No other movie ever made me feel fear. Freddy is an icon of American cinema. Nobody can replace Robert Englund.
Johnny Depp couldn't make it. He's been busy answering questions about ANOTHER horrific thing involving a bed that he's been involved with.
😂 true
He's testifying against his psychotic abuser, Amber Herd.
It's funny though, he has nothing but good things to say about the first Nightmare movie.
He even asked Craven why he didn't make a Cameo for part 7 and Craven thought he would have said no.
Yeah he's right now doing A nightmare on Amber Heard road
With human fecal matter 🧐
A Nightmare On Elm Street is absolutely my favorite franchise of all. There is nothing like it and never will be. Thank you Robert for my kick ass childhood and all the Nightmares to go with it!! 🙏💯👌❤
Robert Englund is an incredible actor. I've seen him in other films as well. He plays characters so well, you forget you're watching a movie sometimes.
Pre-Nightmare: He was Willie (the Vegetarian Lizard-Alien), on V. 😊
Robert Englund & Heather Langenkamp remind me of Roger L Jackson & Neve Campbell. All AWESOME PEOPLE. Wes is smiling on them ALL. AMBASSADORS OF HORROR.
I first saw A Nightmare On Elm Street when I was 15. Back when it first came out. The scene that scared me was the part where Nancy was in the bathtub and Freddy's hand comes up out of the water. I couldn't take a bubble bath for over a week. I showered but I couldn't soak in the tub. Nope. That scene still gets to me.
I was 11
RIP. Wes Craven,John Saxon and Sandy Lipton (Glenn's mother))❤
It's wonderful seeing the stars reunited for events like this. I'm glad they were filmed. I wish and hope that I could find some of my other favorite movies have panels like this.
Talented, Charismatic Actors...who gave us special memories. Thank You.💯
HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY ROBERT ENGLUND !!!
Heather has aged like fine wine
man robert can still do his freddys voice to perfection
NANCY'S STORY LINE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CONTINUED IN PART 2!!!!
Check out Don't Fall Asleep it's a fan film that follows Nancy after the first movie and going into the third movie
I think the reason Freddy is so endearing to fans over all other slasher/monster characters is because of Robert's charisma and acting skills, also the writing, directing and great makeup help as well.
Hello captain obvious lol
I was 16 when nightmare on elm street came out, and it scared the hell out of me. I had my blankets up to my chin when I slept at night, I thought that would save me, from what? lol. I did this for a year. But when I was in my 30’s I ended up watching all of the nightmare on elm street movies. When I was young I was absolutely scared watching any horror movies. I have loved horror movies for many years now and I’ve seen them all and I have watched them over and over again especially the nightmare and Elm Street movies
Robert and Heather are soooo cooool!!!
7:10 THATS ME!!
I consider the franchises biggest strength IS indeed the cast and the writers that manage to make the movies have relatable characters as opposed to other horror franchises that just have canon fodder tropes. But every victim in these movies feels like honest people YOUD come to know and care for
.....
@@iamrobot1c wtf are u talking about lol
@@iamrobot1c nobody is going to read your super long comments! Shorten them up
That's why I liked the earlier Friday the 13th movies.
Same with Nightmare 1,3, and 4. There was actual character development with everyone who dies.
Right. In Nightmares 1 and 3, you feel for the kids so heavily because prior to Freddy, they were all starry eyed and carefree. So sure they had a future ahead of them, just to end up being poached by this mangled predator in their own heads. One that their parents can't see or comprehend. Freddy vs. Jason might have fumbled the ball a little in that regard, but it was still a good watch.
Freddy is robert...there is no other..period
The line up of people you guys got this year is mind blowing! Thank you!
I've always loved those movies, my mom was 16 when that movie came out, she introduced me and my brothers to them in the 90's. I've always loved all 7 of them and I watch them and my kids also watch them.
My favorite is Robert englund is the best Freddy Krueger and nobody can play him better than him
Met Amanda wyss she was super nice and would actually carry on a conversation. I liked her.
Ur so lucky I think she's so cute
My dad bringing me to Blockbuster and Video Ave. to rent the nightmare movies is one of my best childhood memories
100%.
I can listen to Robert talk about movies all day..I’m going to watch “wait until dark”.. sounds good
Cant believe we havnt seen him as Krueger since Freddy vs Jason!
He was Freddy in the Goldbergs
@@vegasfam i mean like an actual movie, not just a comedy cameo or whatever.
@@dcta51 fair enough then
He pretty much retired as Freddy unfortunately. Wish he would play the role one more time to give some proper closure to the franchise. Freddy's Dead didn't really feel like a proper finale to the series at all back in the day considering we got New Nightmare and Freddy vs Jason after that.
@@alucard624 Honestly tho, Freddy versus Jason was already a good closer for not just Freddy and Jason but for the teen slasher genre in general. It would be nice to see another though
Robert England is and always will be a Freddy Krueger legend hands down no doubt about that
Ah, Freddy! I am old enough to have seen them in the theater. Went to see the second one with my best friend and boyfriend. Had a cold, forgot to eat on cold meds, was high as a kite. No one had heard that it was a comedy too, so when the big tongue came out
I laughed. AN ENTIRE THEATER turned to glare at me. The whole place!! So I said "What? It was a big tongue!!" After seeing more of the movie, they left me alone, lol.
Gives only one Freddy and one Robert !
A living Legend..i love you Robert!
Hard To Believe It's Been 40 Years Since This A Nightmare On Elm Street Came Out,Time flies
I watched this movie when I was 8 or 9 and the bathtub scene and water bed scene terrified me. I was watching it in my parents room on their water bed.
Always been a huge fan Tuesday Knight.
Thank to you guys i could't sleep for a week. All of you are part of a happy generation,Thank you for that.Greeting from Los Angeles California.Ohhh the bathtub scene shocked me,was magnificent.
I really wanted to hear from the others, Englund is legend no doubt but I’m super fanning over the others too!!!!
This is awesome. Thanks for posting.
Great picture.
Nobody can play Fred Kruger like Robert England
Duh
He definitely put his stamp on it but I wanna see Kevin Bacon put his spin on it before he gets too old
I'm glad Tuesday said at the end that no one can play Freddy but Robert, well said.
Tuesday Knight is so, so stunningly beautiful still! Thank God she survived cancer.
💯%.
I've watched them over once a day for the last 20 years
I love that cast. Love that franchise. LOVE NIGHTMARES FROM ELM STREET!!
Robert Englund is the only villain where he’s the actual face of the character. Though it is a burned character, it’s him, it’s his face, it’s his voice. He doesn’t hide behind a mask where he can easily be recast. He IS Freddy!
Glad to see everyone is doing well🤍
This was so AWESOME
Iff it wasn't for Amanda Wyss, I would've never seen ," BETTER OFF DEAD"! I RECOGNIZED HER FROM NIGHTMARE! LOVE THESE LEGENDS! LANGENKAMP ETERNAL🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🥂🥂🥂❤️❤️❤️
Better of Dead is a fun and underrated comedy i think. It was very cool to see Amanda Wyss in that movie to.
Holy crap I forgot she was in that! I love better off dead, such a great 80s movie. Definitely underrated!
There will never be a horror movie villain more terrifying than Freddy Kruger
Wes Craven and Robert Englund have haunted everyone's nights since the first movie
There should be a series on nightmare on Elm Street
thank you!
Hopefully meeting Robert in London UK in July. I can't wait
I have been a fan of Robert Englund ever since he was Willy in the TV series "V".
I have never missed a Freddy a nightmare on Elm Street movie since they started...
Watched all but the first Elm Street and Freddy versus Jason in the theater.
(I hated it the remake!!)
Same here
The remake was total crud.
@@karenchastain8234 The guy who played Freddie was just plane gross! - He had black eyes was slimy like a slug & not funny at all & his voice was just all wrong!
- That's what is so good about Freddy (Robert Englund) is his funny one-liners!!😁
@@TammyFox1989 I didnt like how true to life they made him, ya know, like a real child killer. The Freddy I've come to love is way more sci-fi, like a demonic being with deep supernatural abilities, like controlling dreams, and a freaky otherworldly origin. Don't know if the type of Freddy I want to see, will ever be again.
@@karenchastain8234 I don't know why they say that Robert is too old play Freddy he's wearing makeup and he still look pretty spry to me... Heather on the other hand looks really old!
Robert Englund, the best Freddy Krueger, Heather Langenkamp, the best Nancy Thompson. I have the dream of meeting them in person, nightmare time is a mega movie, besides being my favorite, all of them.
Its amazing they are still alive. Ive seen Robert England alone die as Freddy at least 10 or 12 times.
I would love to meet everyone of these people and ask them questions, chill and chat with them like they are everyday people and ask about their lives or anything non ANOES related.
They must get so much ANOES fanfare sometimes I wonder if they ever get bored of it? It would be my dying dream to meet Robert from one Robert to another and pick his brain. Not because he is Freddy but because he's just a really cool dude and a phenomenal storyteller, theatrical artist, and intellect that has humility, gratitude, and dedication to all the people he crosses. Just real genuine. You dont see that in Hollywood anymore.
Feel bad no one asked everyone questions. Love Nightmare !!!
Wonderful
Perfect movies. I love Heather; Robert. Wes..
The other three are Kristen from part 4, her mother from dream warriors and dream master and the one in the middle is Tina from the original
@@adamcade604 Fantastic; the second Kristen and Tina (first iconic victim) Beautiful womans.
Tuesday Knight really looks great here compared to the 2010 documentary. God bless her and the whole NOES. crew .✌✌✌
yeah sadly she had cancer around that time and i think the medication made her look puffy, i do agree though she looks great here.
THIS WAS SOOO AWESOME!
Nightmare on elm Street is and still one of my favorites
Dave McRae is about to show everyone that Robert isn't the only one who can play Freddy when Dylan's New Nightmare comes out this summer! Miko Hughes is reprising his role as Dylan in the short film and he praised Dave's work.
We miss you Robert and Heather we want you guys back
Amanda Wyss is still beautiful ❤️
I love horror movies, always have and always will.. A Nightmare On Elm Street was my first favorite horror film. I also wanna say the horror fans are the best and there is something really special about them. For real !!!!! 💯
Well Robert England return in his famous character Freddy Kruger
Tuesday has aged vary well
Tuesday Knight is GORGEOUS! Hotter than when she was young.
She sure is! Aged like wine haahaa
Very true
Who's that?
I will always love Robert AKA Fred Krueger.. till the last day of my breath... what ever you do... don't fall asleep 😮
i just now saw this, i remember going to theatre seeing the 1st one, some people in the movie were leaving. it was so scary.
Lot of fun memories watching this movie as a kid. I myself have probably seen it about 30 times. And that's no exaggeration. I really love seeing this this panel together. The only problem is the highs should have been turned down in a couple of the microphones. The frequency problem was somewhere in the 4khz range. That's what was causing all of that ringing.
Before nightmare there was a little tv mini series called v that's how I was first introduced to Robert England. With Heather a spinoff of growing pains just the ten of us. Damn I'm old lol
They turned a nightmare into a dream ,thankyou
I love Robert in Paper Brigade! Meet the Deedles too!
Robert Englund had also played the professor in Urban Legend and as a millionaire in the Wishmaster
How could the guy at 9 minutes ask about stunts and not ask Amanda? She has the craziest kill in the first movie.
I agree.
I hate that I missed their panel! I had such a good time there though
I wish they asked Robert, Heather & Amanda what their opinions of Freddy's Revenge (Nightmare Part II) was. Definitely the black sheep of the franchise but still would have liked to heard their takes on it
"I married a Nancy"
"Really?? What's his name??"
sorry....couldn't resist 🤣
All i want right now is a single player (with story campaign ) and co-op thats not focused on pvp Nightmare on elm street game!!
Weew very nostalgian with all cast nightmare in elm street movie.😸😸
So it's Freddy Krueger himself
Nancy tomshon, the best finalgirl of the franchise
Kristen Parker from part 4
Mother of Kristen from part 3 and 4
And also Tina from the original
Robert Englund is the only Freddy Kruger I recognize! There is only ONE FREDDY!!!! Or Freddy CUGAR as we would call him as kids
Tuesday Knight actually looks really good here...
This is awesome thank you
Tuesday Knight looks good. If she got work done, that was a really good doctor. She looks about 15-20 years younger than her actual age.
Its gotten better, about 10 years ago it was a little weird.
Is that her at the bottom on the left? She was hawt with those naughty and pretty eyes in the movies she was in.Not the best in the series but she was definitely eye candy to help you get through it
Yeah I'm sure it still looks a little funny up close, but from afar on grainy camera, she looks pretty good I suppose.
I do remember that look from 10 years ago.
At the Chicago Convention of 2019, she looked way better.
I wish all of you well on your last 50yrs of life and Robert England you made Freddy awesome nightmares on elm Street will always be one of the best horrors in history and r.i.p Wes craven sux you wasn't here to see what you created all those years ago but wish the still alive actors well over the next 50yrs
Tuesday Knight is 53 years old here, and she can almost pass for 19. God bless her, that's almost impossible to pull off. I'm sure genetics plays a part into it, but whatever she's been eating and drinking, or whatever she's avoided eating and drinking all these years should be catalogued.
Freddy (Robert Englund only) ... is my favorite horror movie character!
I still remember summer of 84 mt Dad took me to the drive in to see it badass it was scary it was a double feature with if i remember right the Evil Dead which is another scary badass movie
I love Tina.❤️✌🏿
I love you ❤️💕😘 Robert England
I want Freddy Krueger come back. Still no new movie for ten years 😢
Facts
Freddy's Dead was probably my first slasher film I saw and I remember my mom telling me about how there was a scene he blows up someone's ear so I got even more curious about this series lmao. While we watch this film on TV, my mom starts remembering how this was that same movie she saw. Honestly the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise will always be my nostalgic go to slasher film. I think it was the one I feared the most before I saw it since the concept just seemed so scary and highly impossible to overcome. Also the actors and actresses just make it all work like a lot of these characters were memorable and likable like someone here said. I feel like that is something Friday the 13th didn't have a whole lot of and maybe the Halloween franchises.
